AGW's Death Blow

Stephen Wilde is setting the record straight about who is going to be responsible for the coming famine and mass starvation on our planet. It will be caused by global cooling ... and is being ignored by governments .... governments listening to science hacks that are intent on getting a few more bucks from the very tax payers that they are going to be responsible for harming.

Stephen Wilde has been a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society since 1968. The first five articles from Mr Wilde were received with a great deal of interest throughout the Co2 Sceptic community.

In Stephen Wilde’s sixth and exclusive article for CO2Sceptics.Com he considers that the IPCC have failed to carry out any risk analysis for the potential for global cooling instead of global warming and that a repeat of the Little Ice Age a mere 400 years ago would cause mass starvation worldwide.

The Death Blow to AGW by Stephen Wilde

The influence of the sun has been discounted in the climate models as a contributor to the warming observed between 1975 and 1998. Those who support the theory of anthropogenic global warming (AGW), now known as anthropogenic climate change so that recent cooling can be included in their scenario, always deny that the sun has anything to do with recent global temperature movements. .....

“Life is mostly froth and bubble, Two things stand like stone— Kindness in another’s trouble, Courage in your own.”
(Adam Lindsay Gordon 1833–1870)

Every day we see things with a lot of bells, whistles and many other options. Many of these extras (in the long scheme of things) have very little to do with our overall objective. But we do remember the encouraging words from a friend. Our minds replay over and over that phrase from the mouth of a friend. The writer of Proverbs 17:17 reminds us,
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Let us be that friend to encourage others.

"God, Let me be to others a friend indeed.
Amen."

The Chaplains Corner

The Chaplains Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

A few days ago I was talking to a fellow Christian that seemed preoccupied and a little discouraged. So I asked what was bothering them, they told me how hard they had been working at "being good" - and trying to avoid sinning. They had a long list of things they were avoiding, things they constantly reminded themselves not to do - so they could please God. Don't think about this and don't think about that. . .

After listening to them talk about their struggles with all these sinful things I suggested maybe they needed to change their focus; maybe they needed to stop focusing on what they shouldn't be doing and just focus on the Savior instead of the sin.

Hebrews 12:2 says, "We must focus on Jesus, who is the source and completeness of our faith." If we're focused on Jesus, if we're preoccupied with the Lord - His glory & grace, if we are looking into His face so that we can reflect Him, it's a lot easier to do, and say, and be what He has called us to - Ambassadors of Christ.

Where is your focus?

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Kentucky’s second governor, James Garrard, had several rivals when he ran for that office. Upon his election, he appointed all but one of them to high positions in his administration.
God did even better than that for His enemies. He loved even His enemies enough to send His son to pay the price for our sins. The apostle Paul in Romans 5:8 tells us,
“God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

"God, You alone are worthy of all honor.
Amen."

"The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons."
(Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1803–1882)

This statement was made over a century ago, but could have been made in the last decade about politician after politician. It could also have been made about several folks we have met and will meet in life. They have big "I" trouble. Their conversations are littered with "I," "I," "me," "me," "my," "my." If we have character, we will not have to advertise it. Our friends know and value it.

The only One truly worthy of honor is God. The wise writer of Proverbs 15:33 says,
“The fear of the LORD is wisdom’s instruction, and humility comes before Honor.”

"God, You alone are worthy of all honor.
Amen."

"No man ever sank under the burden of the day. It is when tomorrow’s burden is added to the burden of today that the weight is more than a man can bear. Never load yourself so. If you find yourself so loaded, at least remember this: it is your own doing, not God’s. He begs you to leave the future to him, and mind the present."
(George Macdonald 1824–1905)

If we knew what tomorrow would bring, we would either worry about what was going to happen, worry about how to change it, or worry about what if it doesn’t happen. Someone once said, “90% of what you worry about never comes to pass.” Jesus reminded us in Matthew 6:34,
”Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

"God, thank you for handling the things I don’t need to worry about.
Amen."

Drink A LOT of Water

Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ... all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.

Sheri speaks today about the impact that grief has on one's physical body ...

"Drink a LOT of water in the days leading up to and just after the funeral. Cried a river and had no idea the toll grief takes on the body."
Sheri

Father, Yahweh, I pray today for Sheri and all those who have lost a child. I pray that they will be able to hear their bodies ... and care for themselves physically. Heal the numbness ... so they can feel ... and care ... for themselves.

"If we do not plant knowledge when young, it will give us no shade when we are old."
(Lord Chesterfield)

Too soon age overtakes us and the problem is that wisdom may be slower in catching up. For instance, how many times do we say, "I wish I hadn't done that"; or " I wish I had thought of that when I was there." If knowledge is cultivated, we will have fewer regrets to chill us in the winter of our life. Wisdom is the applied knowledge we know. James 1:5 tells us,
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives liberally to all who ask."

"God, give me the wisdom I need daily for the task you want me to do.
Amen."

“A Christian who walks by faith accepts all circumstances from God. He thanks God when everything goes good, when everything goes bad, and for the “blues” somewhere in-between. He thanks God whether he feels like it or not.”
(Erwin W. Lutzer)

If not for the circumstances God sends our way to grow us, we would not know how great we have it. Truly we have t learn to give thanks in all things. The writer of Psalms 136:26 reminds us to,
“Give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

NASA targets children with Climate Kids website

NASA has officially entered the tax payer funded, child abuse business.

NASA's "Climate Kids"

(CNSNews.com) – The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Web site network includes “Climate Kids: NASA’s Eyes on the Earth,” which use cartoons, games, and other activities to teach children about man-made global warming and climate change.

According to NASA’s budget request for fiscal year 2012, totaling $18.7 billion, the agency would dedicate $145.8 million to educational programs. The “Climate Kids” site is supported through NASA’s educational programs, according to a spokesman with the agency.

“Climate Kids” is part of a NASA-affiliated Web site operated by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a research and development and NASA field center that is managed by the California Institute of Technology.

One of the features on the children’s pages is a “Climate Tales” cartoon, “Adventures on a Changing Planet: Will our heroes ever find their way home?”

The cartoon features a polar bear and a fish. In the cartoon, some of the following dialogue occurs:

“Hey, it looks like your ice is melting,” the fish says.

“I had to swim for miles to find a chunk of ice to climb onto,” says the bear. “If I don’t get to rest once in a while I won’t have enough energy to hunt my next meal.”

“All the ice is melting,” the bear says.

After being transported to the South American rain forest, the fish and the polar bear meet a monkey.

“Where did all the trees go?” the bear asks.

“Funny story,” the monkey says. “The humans cut them down and burned them.”

“And now it’s a trash dump,” says the bear.

The monkey informs the bear that the humans tried to grow crops and “it didn’t take long for the humans to use all the rest of the life in the soil.”

“After a few years the humans moved on, leaving a dead and lifeless landscape,” says the monkey......

So ... we are scaling back the mission of NASA ... moving away from the exploration of Outer Space ... and moving her mission toward convincing children that humanity is the one great threat to our planet?

This is child abuse and criminal propaganda of children ... at the expense of tax payers ... for the express purpose of political profiteering ... and control of the human race.

Never been anymore evil invention by Satan than the global warming scam ... and more and more its target is children ... for the future.

We will speak the truth to power.

“If you change how you treat yourself, you will naturally change how you treat others.”
(Dr. Becky Baily)

Obviously, many of us do not accept ourselves. In fact, many of us have trouble accepting the forgiveness God has given us; consequently, we do not treat others with the respect they are due. If we are to change, we must follow the advice of Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:19 when he says,
“Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
The message is clear: To love your neighbor, you must love yourself.

"God, thank You for the forgiveness that lets us love ourselves and, in turn, love our neighbors.

Praying for bin Laden

Is it alright to now "pray" for bin Laden?

The mass this Sunday, May 22, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach, Fla., will be offered on behalf of five people. Only one of them is a recently deceased head of a global terrorist network.

Parishioner Henry Borga requested the Mass intention on behalf of one Osama bin Laden. It is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church to offer Masses for souls in purgatory or to remember someone who has died or to honor someone still living. Borga told a local television channel that he placed the request for bin Laden because "he needs forgiveness and compassion from God." ....

Time Mag article

Just for starters ... once a person is dead ... it's over. It is ridiculous to pray for an already dead person. Their life choices have been made ... it's over ... they stand before Holy God in judgment for their lives. Thinking that praying for a dead person is going to have any effect whatsoever on their eternal condition is pure superstition.

Next point. If you want to pray for someone associated with bin Laden ... then pray for the surviving families of the multiple thousands killed under this mad man's watch.

Find out and pray for each family by name, and each member of each family ... by name. The 3,000 or so killed on 9/11 would be a good starting place. There are many other thousands you can find as well after the first 3,000.

bin Laden left those he slaughtered without a prayer. To pray for him before earnestly praying for those he victimized would be the epitome of spiritual stupidity.

Period.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”
(Helen Keller)

These words were spoken by one who was born with challenges, lived with a host of trials, and still kept a positive attitude. Too many of us let one little setback intimidate us to the point of paralysis. The writer of James 5:11 tells us,
“Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”

"God, thank You for the peace that passes all understanding to see the good You have placed before us.

Hamas' Quick Response to Obama Speech

I really don't understand efforts to appease terrorists? Evidently ... terrorists don't understand it either.

Abu_zuhri_sami: President Barack Obama's Mideast policy speech Thursday was a "total failure," Hamas said Thursday evening.

"The (Arab) nation does not need a lesson on democracy from Obama," said Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Sami Abu-Zuhri. "Rather, Obama is the one who needs the lesson given his absolute endorsement of Israel's crimes and his refusal to condemn Israel's occupation."

"We will not recognize the Israeli occupation under any circumstances," the Hamas spokesman said, while adding: "We object to intervention in our internal affairs." .....

"The best thing to give your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity."

It is not always easy to behave yourself, but it is important for us to set the right example. We must make right choices so others can follow our example. Jesus in Matthew 5:16 tells us to,

Every Day Light

A budding romance

"My daughter, should I not try to find a home for you —?" (v. 1)

For reading & meditation: Ruth 3:1

As Naomi ponders the sovereignty of God in the meeting between Ruth and Boaz, she begins to realize there is a distinct possibility that Boaz will take on the responsibility of marrying Ruth and providing the security she needs in the future. She begins, therefore, to formulate a clear and daring plan to ensure the continuance of the budding romance.

Note how she opens up the conversation: "My daughter, should I not try to find a home for you, where you will be well provided for? Is not Boaz — a kinsman of ours?" (vv. 1-2). This is not meddling or matchmaking, but simply bringing to bear on the issues the insight God has given to her.

Most people who fall in love and contemplate marriage could do with a little advice and counsel. Personally, I have never conducted a marriage service for a couple without requiring them to go through some premarital counseling. After all, marriage is probably the most important change that anyone on this earth can experience apart from conversion, and if ever guidance and help is needed, it is in relation to negotiating the difficulties that can occur when two people establish a close relationship.

I have come to the conclusion that one of the greatest indictments that can be leveled at the contemporary Christian Church is its failure, generally speaking, to assist and guide those who are about to be married. The more thought and care that goes into planning and preparing for marriage, the more likelihood there is that the couple will spend all their wedding anniversaries - together.

Father, forgive us that we, Your Church, have thought more about how to conduct weddings than how to nurture marriages. Help us to transmit the wisdom that comes from the Scriptures and our own life experiences to those about to marry. Amen.

It is true the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. We rarely surprise someone by our actions, because we pretty much are what we are. To be different comes not from turning over a new leaf, but from a new master. Jesus says it best when He says in John 3:3,

We will tend to think that moving is a way to escape the pain ...

“Yeah…but…what about those who’ve never heard?” A dialog.

Take a look. What do you think?

From the Cranky Xtn blog
Christian 1: “Yeah…but…what about all those people living in X that have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ?”

Christian 2: “Yeah…what about them?”

Christian 1: “Is God really gonna damn them for eternity when they never were presented with the Gospel?”

Christian 2: “No. God is gonna damn them for eternity for their sin.”

Christian 1: “Yeah…but…is that fair? Is that just? Shouldn’t the people living in X at least be given the chance to hear the Gospel?”

Christian 2: “Yes. Have you bought your plane ticket to X?”

Christian 1: “No.”

Christian 2: “Neither have I. Practically speaking, that says nothing about the justice, fairness, and impartiality of God as a righteous judge…However, it does say a lot about you and I…”

Regarding the issue of the “un-evangelized”, I find it odd as a seminary student that this topic is always discussed in the abstract; in the confines of seminaries, churches, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and so forth. Scholars, pastors, students, and laypersons always have a curiosity about this issue and what its implications are about “God’s character” from every angle of the discussion. What is often lacking in the essays, the articles, the books, and the conversations on this issue is what it says about the believers having the discussion; in the confines of seminaries, churches, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and so forth.

This is not to say the issue should be of no interest of inquiry and discussion for Christians. Far from it. Nor am I going to give a detailed answer to the question of the “un-evangelized” except to say that I believe that unless one specifically repents and believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, there is no salvation for any person (the “exclusivism” position, as it is often called).

The only point here is that the discussion of the “un-evangelized” as is commonly framed is usually centered more about what we think of God and how He “deals with the issue”. This is regardless of where we come down on the issue and how we shake out His love, wrath, holiness, justice, mercy, etc. What I think is that this conversation needs to be more about how we “deal with the issue” of the “un-evangelized” in light of the calling and global mission of the church, and put the emphasis of this inquiry back onto our hearts as believers.

God Bless,

Again we are confronted with the responsibility of man vs. the sovereignty of God. How responsible are we to "spread" the gospel ... and if we don't ... then what?

Wishcasting The End Of The World

Mr. William Briggs has put together very nicely some current events along with the global warming screeching and political pandering ... and shows it for that which it truly is ... nonsense.

William M. Briggs
Wishcasting is when a forecast or prediction is shaded in the direction the forecaster or predictor wants the event to happen. For example, if you forecast this weekend’s weather, you might be inclined to discount evidence that it will rain. Similarly, if you predict which team will win tonight’s game—your home or the away team—you might exaggerate your team’s chances. End of the World

The potential for wishcasting is stronger the more interest the forecaster has in the outcome. Observe any gambler to see whether this is true. Wishcasting can be eliminated, but only by approaching uncertainty with a kind of Buddhist calm. This state is difficult to attain and even more difficult to retain.

All of us are interested in the future of humanity, many of us intensely so. This is one of the reasons why making guesses of what will happen is so difficult. We badly want events to turn out this way or that, and depending whether we’re naturally gloomy or bright, we misestimate the odds of the event turning out against us or in our favor.

Thus it must be for Harold Camping and Robert Fitzpatrick, who Fox News reports is a “a 60-year-old Staten Island resident” who “spent his entire $140,000 life savings advertising his prediction that the world will end May 21.”

Camping and Fitzpatrick belong to Family Radio Worldwide, a group which not only broadcasts its predictions, but has bought (or rented?) a fleet of buses which carry signs announcing that May 21st is it.

The followers of Camping are gloomy. They have heard of wars and rumors of wars, which they have interpreted as a sign that the end is nigh. But they have forgotten or given little weight to the warning that these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

I say they formed their prediction in such dark terms because these men want the end to come. Why? ....

You will want to go read it all!

OK, the 21st is the end of it all. That is this coming Saturday. We'll see. :-)

Fairy Tale Heaven

There are physical realities ... then there are spiritual realities. I am praying for Stephen Hawking today ... that he will come to the place where he can grasp how wide, deep, long, and high the Father's love is for His creation ... and His love for Stephen Hawking.

British scientist Stephen Hawking has branded heaven a "fairy story" for people afraid of the dark, in his latest dismissal of the concepts underpinning the world's religions.

The author of 1988 international best-seller "A Brief History of Time" said in an interview with The Guardian published on Monday that his views were partly influenced by his battle with motor neurone disease.

"I have lived with the prospect of an early death for the last 49 years. I'm not afraid of death, but I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first," he told the newspaper.

"I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark."

Hawking's stance on religion has hardened significantly in the nearly quarter century since the publication of his seminal work on the cosmos.

In "A Brief History of Time" he suggested that the idea of a divine being was not necessarily incompatible with a scientific understanding of the Universe.

But in his 2010 book "The Grand Design" he said a deity no longer has any place in theories on the creation of the universe in the light of a series of developments in physics....

Telling Business Where To Go

Using federal bureaucratic "regulatory" power to punish free enterprise?

....The White House and its regulatory toadies are now making a serious, and we think dangerously transformative, effort to decide where in the country private companies can build manufacturing (and by extension of this incredible grab) any other facilities.

On April 20, the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against Boeing alleging that its decision to build a second assembly plant in South Carolina instead of the state of Washington was illegal because it amounted to a retaliatory action against the International Association of Machinists. The NLRB seeks as a remedy for this phony cause of action a judicial order forcing Boeing to shift production of its long delayed Dreamliner commercial jet from South Carolina back to its main facility in the Seattle area, Can anyone see presidential politics here in trying to force one of America’s main competitive manufacturing companies from a red state to a blue state or are we just being cynical?.....

The full story here.
When did it become constitutional for federal bureaucrats to tell businesses where they can and can not build plants and conduct business?

Overreaching and grasping for control and punishment power.

"The special person called to do missionary work is every person who is a member of Christ’s Church. The call does not come to a chosen few, it is to every one of us."
(Unknown)

Each of us has a special purpose and calling on our life. We are the only ones who can do what God wants us to do. The writer of Psalms 139:14 reminds us of how special we are with these words:
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

"God, thank You for Your trust in us.
Amen."

By making a lot of religious din, we assure our faltering hearts that everything is well, and, conversely, we suspect silence and regard it as a proof that the meeting is “dead.”
(A. W. Tozer 1897–1963)

We try to hurry and "worship," cramming music, praise, and proclamation into the short time of our worship services. The other day saw in a service they were observing a moment of silence. It was not a minute of silence, it was hardly 15 seconds. I know, because I counted it in my head. Enjoy the words of the writer of Psalms 46:8-10,
“Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Being Kind to Myself

Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ... all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.

Beverly speaks today about the need to find the right way to grieve that is as unique to each individual because everyone is unique in and of their own selves.

"Someone told me to grieve in the way that is right for me and not listen to those that tell me I should get on with life! Also to be patient and kind to myself....."
Beverly

Father, Yahweh, I pray today that each person that has lost a loved one will understand their individual need ... and realize that You know them personally ... and can help them with their need.

"Light, even though it passes through pollution, is not polluted."
(Saint Augustine of Hippo 354–430)

We live in a world polluted by sin. We are the only bright spot some people may see today, and we must not let the world get into us. Jesus in Matthew 5:14-16 tells us,
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

"God, Let me live for You in a way that brings honor to You."

“Believers who are motivated by legalism are always anxious to know what is expected of them. They want to do only what is necessary to make themselves look respectable. They crave specific rules so they can know precisely how to behave. They plod along hoping that someday their efforts will pay off. According to the New Testament, such people are legalists; they are using the law to establish their righteousness.”
(Erwin W. Lutzer)

Folks, when we look at the rules, we find just how much we have missed the mark. When we look at the cross, we see a Savior who paid the price to redeem us back to The Holy God. We can’t deserve it; we can’t earn it; but we must receive it by faith. The apostle Paul in Ephesians 2:8-9 says,
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

"God, thank You.
Amen."

More Global Warming Child Abuse

You know a "movement" is in serious trouble ... and they know they are in serious trouble ... when they start using children to attempt to accomplish what they could not accomplish .... even with multiple millions of tax payer dollars to fund their failed efforts.

From "What's Up With That?
Failing to make his case, James Hansen uses children as legal pawns
Posted on May 10, 2011 by Anthony Watts

From LiveScience, another reason for NASA to fire Jame Hansen now:

Here’s the basis for his actions in a nutshell:
If carbon dioxide emissions aren’t reduced in time, the Earth will pass a tipping point with irreversible, catastrophic consequences, including the disintegration of ice sheets and large-scale extinction of species, according to the scientific analysis Hansen provided to the lawsuit.

I think Dr. Hansen has lost it. Earth has had higher CO2 concentrations several times in its history and it didn’t head to runaway roasting. So far, this all hinges on positive feedbacks, and there doesn’t seem to be much conclusive evidence for it. Here’s what Pielke Sr. has to say about CO2 as a control knob for Earth’s climate system.

Read Dr. Hansen’s latest non peer reviewed paper where he justifies to himself the use of kids as legal pawns here:

The Case for Young People and Nature: A Path to a Healthy, Natural, Prosperous Future

Thank you Mr. Watts for bringing this to our attention.

"All one’s life is music if one touches notes rightly and in time."
(John Ruskin 1819–1900)

Every day we have crescendos, rests, rhythms, melodies and decrescendos. Each movement keeps the beat interesting and keeps us hanging on to see what is next. With the precision of a well-rehearsed orchestra, let us follow the lead of the writer of Psalms 9:1 who said,
“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.”

"God, I will praise You for who You are. You are awesome.
Amen."

“God alone knows all the facts, sets all the goals, and determines morality. Nowhere in Scripture are his principles to be replaced in favor of human calculation. He allows us to play the game; he does not allow us to make the rules.”
(Erwin W. Lutzer)

As much as we would like to think that there is a curve where God excuses our indiscretions based on the times in which we live, the truth is Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). With black being black and white being white, it is great to know that even though we can’t be good enough to deserve it, Romans 6:23 tells us:
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

"God, thank You for Your Son who paid the price for me.
Amen."

“It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.”
(Anonymous)

The more mature we become as Christians, the more we find how much we don’t know with our finite minds about our infinite God. The apostle Paul in Philippians 3:12-14 wisely says,
“Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Let us press on, confident not in our own strength or intellect, but in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"God, thank You for the strength and confidence we find in You.
Amen."

The Maple Kind?

A call for "Uncivil Disobedience"

Professor Clive Hamilton, from Australia, wants to up the anti in the Global Warming debate ... he is calling for an end to debate actually ... and is calling for radical uncivil disobedience ... as well as centralized governments to force Global Warming policies on all of humanity.
The difficulty and importance of the global warming campaign is many times greater than every other environmental struggle. Controlling carbon pollution requires a wholesale industrial restructuring…

In the face of the failure of mainstream environmentalism to achieve significant progress on the biggest issue it will ever face, we need a new environmental radicalism....

A wave of environmental radicalism, of uncivil disobedience ....

.... Sometimes coaxing the public to your point of view reaches an immovable barrier. Sometimes people must be jolted out of their complacency by militancy, even if that means a period of rancour, turmoil and danger…

From "Down Under"

Truly evil ... truly abusive ... truly demonic.

Advice?

Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ... all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.

Joany speaks today about the inability of most people to offer any truly meaningful advice about dealing with the sudden loss of a child. As much as they might like to try and help we are usually left to deal with the loss in our own way ... on our own.

"Advice?? Not many people even know what to say after the sudden loss of an 8yr old child. And those who did speak up, most often said the wrong things; whether they realized it or not. But as far as advice, none. Not sure there was any advice to give to us. Nothing was right about our sudden loss and nothing will ever be the same."
Joany

Father, Yahweh, I pray today for those that have lost loved ones ... that they will receive from You the courage to face their pain and loss with Your strength and compassion. Move in their hearts with the knowledge of Your experience at the loss of Your Son on Calvary.

“No gift to your mother can ever equal her gift to you—life.”
(Unknown)

The bond of a mother’s love begins at conception, cements the first time she hears your heartbeat, and strengthens with each kick she feels as you grow from her nourishment while still in the womb. A mother’s love makes you want to try to repay her from even an early age. When we think about her sacrifices and gifts to us, we know we can never get even. At the same time, we are reminded of the love of God and the gift of eternal life He has given to us through His son Jesus. The apostle John tells us of God’s love in John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
What a gift, the gift of life here and in the eternal realm.

"God, thank You for our moms and for the gift You gave to us.
Amen."

A Good Dose of "Multiculturalism"

The head of the "multiculturalism" snake is being rapidly revealed.
FURIOUS BIN LADEN SUPPORTERS VOW TO TAKE REVENGE

Muslim demonstrators march on the US embassy in London this afternoon
HUNDREDS of Osama bin Laden supporters clashed with English Defence League extremists today as a “funeral service” for the assassinated terror leader sparked fury outside London’s US Embassy.

Police stepped in to separate the chanting groups amid threats of violence from both sides.

US leaders were branded “murderers” by radicals, who warned vengeance attacks were “guaranteed” and shouted: "USA, you will pay."

Protesters carried signs declaring 'Islam will dominate the world' and Jihad to defend the Muslims' as well as banners attacking the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan....

The full story here.

What do you think? Still infatuated with the "multiculturalism" story line?

I didn't think so.

The secret to targeted assassinations abroad...

The secret revealed by Brutally Hones is having a liberal in the White House.

So surmises Victor Davis Hanson and it's a point extremely tough to counter:
This neutralizes criticism from the media, universities, the legal community, and Hollywood. Obama the law professor can assassinate bin Laden in Pakistan, dump his body in the ocean, and with first-person emphasis boast of our brilliant mission in a way Bush the Texan could not get away with—in the same manner that killing the son of Qaddafi, and the effort to kill Qaddafi himself, are not really forbidden targeted assassinations under Obama, and in the manner that Guantánamo, tribunals, renditions, preventive detentions, Predators, wiretaps, and intercepts that so bothered Senator Obama and others are now deemed essential. This paradox is just the way it is; the media will report a liberal president’s Predator drone attack or commando hit as done with reluctance and without other viable choices. Were a conservative leader to take the same actions, he would be portrayed as a trigger-happy war-monger reveling in the violence. Thus, the street celebrations that ensued when news ofbin Laden ’s death broke are seen by the media as a new unity inspired by Obama. Three years ago, they would have been seen as macabre triumphalism.

Of course, there are pockets out there who still see macabre triumphalism in the street celebrations that took place but there's no media frenzy about it, no plethora of editorials decrying the behavior, no 60 Minutes exposé lamenting how backwards and neanderthal we've become. And no real criticism aimed at actions engaged in by this President for which Bush would've been excoriated.

As 2012 approaches, we'll see more if it, guaranteed.

Might more Americans notice the duplicity.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Wednesday night on the way home from church I knew I needed to get gas for my wife Reta before the next morning. She looked at the gauge and said she thought she could make it to school the next morning. She was wrong, as we approached home the car died about a half mile from the nearest service station we knew that was open. With a sentence prayer I put on the signal light so I could get into the right lane to continue to coast as far as possible. As we came into town we noticed a new station had re-opened and I coasted into the station and when fueled I was able to start the car and continue to the house.

Do you think I forgot to give thanks to God for the answered prayer? I think not, I join the apostle Paul in his words in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, saying,
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

"God, Thank You for the each miracle You send our way each day.
Amen."

"I Take Great Pleasure..."

Last night on ABC's "Nightline" show they interviewed the Mother of one of the NY City fire fighters that died in the World Trade Center on 9/11.

It was a surprisingly good interview from one of our MSM outlets.

I loved the Mother's last statement in the interview concerning the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of our Navy Seals, "I take great pleasure in knowing that the last thing bin Laden saw in this life was a United States Navy Seal preparing to take his life."

“Confidence in the natural world is self-reliance, in the spiritual world it is God-reliance.”
(Oswald Chambers 1874–1917)

A trust in this world can bring disappointment. Economies fail, storms come and destroy what you have worked for, illness causes suffering..... To place your trust in God is to hang your hopes on something that will last. The apostle Paul shares this confidence with us in 2 Timothy 1:12:
“I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
Place your trust in God; He is dependable.

"God, thank You for the stability You bring in my life.
Amen."

Yahweh, Day 211

Day 211

Yahweh

Remember

"Yahweh, remember what has happened to us. Look, and see our disgrace!"
Lamentations 5:1 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Of course ... what had happened to Israel had happened because of their own self-centered ... rebellion against God ... and that with Yahweh sending over and over and over again voices of warning ... hoping, if you will, that Israel would see the folly of her way ... and turn back to God with her heart.

Somehow Israel knew this about Yahweh, that He was a God that ... even though He could certainly remember their sin ... He certainly could also forgive.

This is in The Name.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"Select a large box, and place in it as many cannon balls as it will hold, and it is, after a fashion, full; but it will hold more if smaller matters be found. Bring a quantity of marbles; very many of these may be packed in the spaces between the larger globes; the box is now full, but still only in a sense; it will contain more yet. There are spaces in abundance, into which you may shake a considerable quantity of small shot, and now the chest is filled beyond all question; but yet there is room. You cannot put in another shot or marble, much less another ball; but you will find that several pounds of sand will slide down between the larger materials, and even then between the granules of sand; if you empty yonder jug, there will be space for all the water and for the same quantity several times repeated. Where there is no space for the great, there may be room for the little; where the little cannot enter, the less can make its way; and where the less is shut out, the least of all may find ample room. So where time is, as we say, fully occupied, there must be stray moments, occasional intervals, and bits of time which might hold a vast amount of little usefulness in the course of months and years."
(Charles H. Spurgeon)

All of us have little bits of time each day when we can smile, speak a kind word, give a hug, and in other ways, encourage friends, family, or even strangers who come into our space. In 2 Timothy 4:1-2 the apostle Paul gives this advice:
“I solemnly charge you: proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching.”

"God, keep a smile on my face and a word of encouragement in my lips for others.
Amen."

“God did not save you to be a sensation; He saved you to be a servant.” (Unknown)

Though some of the disciples desired to have positions in the kingdom Jesus was going to usher in, He informed them that they had the wrong idea. In Matthew 9:35 Jesus told His disciples,
“If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.”

"I think we can all agree this is a good day for America."
(President Barak Obama)

What a regal understatement from one who might have otherwise gloated at the events of the day. Many crude statements that came to the surface after the death of Osama bin Laden were made by individuals who, because of deep emotions, likely didn't even realize the severity of a wicked man standing before the eternal judge of all men.

The writer of Ecclesiastes 7:1-3 gives us all this advice:
“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.”

"God, thank You that You, The Righteous Judge, are in control.
Amen."

Hallelujah!

The question has been asked as to whether or not it is appropriate for there to be expressions of relief/gratitude/joy at the demise of one such as Osama bin Laden?

If we go to the scriptures we might find a clue about the answer to this question. I have listed below the first times that the "Hallulujah!" is used in both the Old and New Testaments. You will notice that in both instances it is the natural expression of praise to God ... for the destruction of the truly wicked ... from the hearts of His people.

First use in the Old Testament.

"May sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. My soul, praise the Lord! Hallelujah!"
Psalm 104:35

First use in the New Testament.
"After this I heard something like the loud voice of a vast multitude in heaven, saying: Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God, because His judgments are true and righteous, because He has judged the notorious prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality; and He has avenged the blood of His servants that was on her hands. A second time they said: Hallelujah!"
Revelation 19:1-3

Friends ... there is not need for feelings of guilt for feeling joy/relief at hearing of the destruction of the wicked slayers of humanity. In the scripture the Hallelujah! was the heart felt praise to Almighty God ... over the bringing of His Righteous Justice ... to the enemies of virtue.

Osama bin Laden is dead.

Hallelujah!
