Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.

“In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet” (Albert Schweitzer).
What all do we miss because we seek something of lesser value? We miss a sunset in chasing after something else. We miss a soaring eagle in watching a slug. We miss a child’s laughter in entertaining ourselves with the latest technology (radio, tv, computer, dvd’a, etc.), and on and on....
The apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:11: “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
May we learn to see and value what is around us.
God, thank You for all the beauty around us. Help us not to take it for granted.   Amen.Bro. Bill

Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
“God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to produce rain, broken grain to give bread and broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is the broken Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever” (Anonymous).
The little boy gave his lunch to Jesus, who blessed it, broke it, and used it to feed the five thousand men (Matthew 14:18-22).  When we allow ourselves to be broken for Him, God is able to use us.
God, break us, mold us, and make us into something usable for You. Amen.

Yahweh, Day 130

Day 130, Yahweh: An Incredulous Question
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth."
Isaiah 40:27-30 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
One of the very few things that ... mystifies God ... Is ... how can any human not know that there is but one God ... and that He is the Creator of all that there is?
And all of Heaven wonders as well.
Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Wake us up!  For Your Name’s sake … wake us up!  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

“The insight that relates us to God arises from purity of heart, not from clearness of intellect” (Oswald Chambers, 1874–1917).
The apostle Paul states the message this way in 1Corinthians 2:14: “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” Let us cleanse our hearts that we may be able to draw near to Him and give Him praise and honor He is due.
God, thank You for letting us have direct fellowship with You.  Amen.

Yahweh, Day 129

Day 129, Yahweh: His Name Cometh #7
"Look, Yahweh comes from far away, His anger burning and heavy with smoke. His lips are full of fury, and His tongue is like a consuming fire. 28 His breath is like an overflowing torrent that rises to the neck.... the Lord will make the splendor of His voice heard and reveal His arm striking in angry wrath and a flame of consuming fire, in driving rain, a torrent, and hailstones....."
Isaiah 30:27-30 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
Yahweh speaking into His creation ...  there is a power here that man knows not ... and a great part of the "Revealing" of the Messiah will be the revealing of that very power.
"The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and will bring him to nothing with the brightness of His coming."
2 Thessalonians 2:8 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
And ... all the nations will wail because of him ... and every eye shall see him ... and immeasurable Glory will fill the Universe ... Fresh ... Pure ... radiant.
As The Evil One, and all that are his, are banished to the fire ... the redeemed of Yahweh ... Will ... rejoice.
Surely the day comes ... as does The Name.
Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Great Yahweh!  For the Glory of Your Name … Maranatha!  Amen!
