Politico has given seven very damaging points about the perception in America about the current administration.

It seems like Politico is begging the White House to alter the obvious perceptions... in spite of the fact that their seven "stories" are exactly who actually sits in the White House.

In other words, if I could speak directly to Politico, I would say, "Look, the whole campaign was a major charade, and you and millions of Americans were duped by the charade. I know you wanted to 'believe' and I grant you that desire... however, when you clearly see what you describe as appearing to be reality... when it actually is reality... then opine that you still want to believe what you were duped into believing... I would say it is time to grow up... Politico... there really isn't a Santa Clause ."

Four Lakewood officers slain; 'Person of interest' identified

PARKLAND, Wash. - A person of interest has been identified in the killings of four Lakewood police officers.

Pierce county sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said they are looking for Maurice Clemmons, 37.

Troyer said Clemmons has an extensive violent criminal history from Arkansas, including aggravated robbery and theft. He has also recently been arrested and charged in Pierce County for assault on a police officer and for rape of a child.

Troyer said Clemmons is one of several people investigators would like to talk to and can't be called a suspect at this point.

Lakewood Police Chief Bret Farrar identified the officers who were killed as Sergeant Mark Renninger, and Officers Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold, and Greg Richards.

Renninger, 39, has 13 years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Owen, 37, has 12 years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by his former wife and a daughter.

Griswold, 40, has 14 years of law enforcement experience. She is survived by her husband and two children.

Richards, 42, has eight years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Suspect may be wounded

Earlier, Troyer said the suspect who killed four Lakewood police officers at a Parkland coffee shop may have been wounded by one of the officers.

Troyer told reporters at the scene that one of the officers struggled out the door and fired his gun at the attacker.

"There is evidence that a Lakewood Police officer fired off some shots, and we hope that he hit him," said Troyer. "If he's hit, that means that he's injured somewhere with a gunshot wound.".....

The officers - three male and one female - were in full uniform and wearing bulletproof vests, sitting in Forza coffee shop near 116th Street and Steele Street on the east side of the Air Force base at about 8:30 a.m., preparing for their shift when the suspect walked in, went up to the counter as if to order coffee, then turned and opened fire.

Troyer called it an "ambush."

"They had marked police cars, marked uniforms, there were other people inside the facility, they weren't shot, wounded or hurt or even aimed at, just the police officers were," said Troyer.

It wasn't clear whether the officers even had time to draw their weapons to return fire, Troyer said.

"This was more of an execution. Walk in with the specific mindset to shoot police officers," Troyer said......

Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor said "this is an example of the danger that police officers and deputy sheriffs and state troopers face every day."

"The person or people who did this not only harmed us they harmed the good that we can do in the community. They harmed the good that we work to do every day in the community," he said.

"This is an example of the cost that is sometimes paid by people who believe in duty and obligation and sacrifice and people who do that on behalf of the community."

"We've lost people that we care about, we've lost people I'm sure the good people in the community care about as well," said Pastor....

Look for that headline, just as soon as John Kerry and his staff members on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and their Democratic majority operatives can package and sell this tripe to their minions in the media.

The story might make for some suspense and intrigue if it weren't so obvious that it has been cobbled together as only another means of attacking the Bush administration and the war.

Lest we forget, John Kerry has been beating his drum for the last eight years and shouting his claims that Bush and Rumsfeld let Bin Ladin get away. So this is nothing new and it certainly isn't news. The only thing that has changed is that his guy (Obama) is now in the White house and as a result, he and his partisans on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, can now reassemble their dog eared allegations once again for another run at the people. Only this time, they have the cooperation of liberal appointees in all levels of the government who will facilitate their ruse by manipulating the history with their reports.

Of course, no one in the Obama administration or the Kerry camp will care to remember that their guy (Bill Clinton) had the opportunity to take down Bin Ladin on at least three occasions during his administrations, or that he opted in each case to turn his back on the opportunity. Nor will they care to remember that Clinton saw Bin Ladin as nothing more than a mere criminal and therefore, believed that we as a nation didn't have enough "evidence" to prosecute him.

I wonder if those 3000 plus dead on September 11th reached that threshold of evidence for them? Or if the more than 4000 lost since in the war against the lunatic and his followers globally since, counts as evidence for their much desired criminal prosecution.

I also wonder if they understand that Bill Clinton had direct knowledge of the whereabouts of Bin Ladin and refused to loose the military to get him. Where as the best that this latest democrat revelation can seem to accuse is that "the military leaders in theater" allowed him to escape.

Someone once said that laws and sausages are two things that people should never watch being made. I would include partisan political carping and the manipulation of history for political objectives into that mix. Except for the fact that we as Americans had better start paying attention to all of it. For the Devil is truly in the details when it comes to politics and the democrat methodology of lulling the people with lies and complete fabrications of the truth for partisan socialist objectives.

This report by Kerry's minions on the Foreign Relations committee is nothing more than their latest attempt to build a mountain on a foundation of mole hills and they know it. I sincerely hope that the average American who is ultimately exposed to this tripe by the media, realizes and recognizes that fact. And I sincerely hope that those same Americans remember what truly happened and why and I hope they carry those memories and all that has transpired since into the voting booths next year during the midterms and on into 2012 with them.

As readers are now aware, the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia, the main climate research center in Britain, has had 128 megabytes of secret emails and other data placed online by someone calling himself “FOIA.” A number of scientists have been trying for years to get the raw data possessed by CRU placed online, filing requests under the British Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Although required by law to release this information, CRU has not done so, or has claimed that the data were accidentally erased. We now have proof in the emails that the illegal withholding of information was intentional, and that the erasure of data was also intentional.

The now non-secret data prove what many of us had only strongly suspected — that most of the evidence of global warming was simply made up. That is, not only are the global warming computer models unreliable, the experimental data upon which these models are built are also unreliable. As Lord Monckton has emphasized here at Pajamas Media, this deliberate destruction of data and the making up of data out of whole cloth is the real crime — the real story of Climategate.

It is an act of treason against science. It is also an act of treason against humanity, since it has been used to justify an attempt to destroy the world economy....

Still Doing God's Work on Wall Street

Is anyone ever going to be held accountable for the sweetheart deals that passed billions of taxpayer dollars through the AIG shell game to the banks that caused the meltdown? Undoubtedly not, since the same folks who are most culpable wrote the laws that made this, and the other scams at the heart of the banking collapse, perfectly legal. And guess what? They're back at work in the government, writing the new laws that will, they claim, prevent us from being had once again. As a telling example of that process at work, check the official response of the Department of Treasury to the devastating report by the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), Neil M. Barofsky, titled "Factors Affecting Efforts to Limit Payments to AIG Counterparties." The main factor was that Timothy Geithner followed the lead of Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd "I'm Doing God's Work" Blankfein in crowding the lifeboats with bankers.

Geithner, now treasury secretary, was previously the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY), where he negotiated the deal to pay Goldman Sachs and the other top banks in full to cover their bad bets on securitized mortgages. Barofsky's report concluded that Geithner's scheme represented a "backdoor bailout" for the financial hustlers at the center of the market fiasco. Noting that Geithner denies that was his intention, the report states, "Irrespective of their stated intent, however, there is no question that the effect of FRBNY's decisions--indeed, the very design of the federal assistance to AIG--was that tens of billions of dollars of Government money was funneled inexorably and directly to AIG's counterparties."

Not surprisingly, the Treasury Department that Geithner now heads defended his actions in not forcing "haircuts" on the full dollar-for-dollar payoff by AIG to the banks while he was at the New York Fed: "The government could not unilaterally impose haircuts on creditors, and it would not have been appropriate for the government to pressure counterparties to accept haircuts by threatening to retaliate in some way through its regulatory power."

Nonsense, argues Eliot Spitzer, who as New York attorney general was way ahead of the curve in challenging Wall Street arrogance. Writing in Slate on Monday, Spitzer points out: "Pressuring Goldman and the other counterparties to offer concessions would have forced them to absorb the consequences of making suspect deals with an insurance company that was essentially a Ponzi scheme."

The Ponzi scheme was based on the collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) in which the bankers traded and which AIG had insured with the credit default swaps (CDSs) that they sold but failed to back with adequate funding. Now Geithner's Treasury concedes that AIG "should never have been allowed to escape tough, consolidated supervision." But none of AIG's scams were regulated, nor were any of the others at the center of the larger financial debacle, because of laws pushed through Congress by Geithner's boss, Lawrence Summers, when they both were in the Clinton administration. Specifically, they prevented regulation of those opaque CDOs and CDSs that would come to derail the world's economy.

As the inspector general's report stated: "In 2000, the [Clinton administration-backed] Commodity Futures Modernization Act (CFMA) ... barred the regulation of credit default swaps and other derivatives." Why did the financial geniuses of the Clinton administration seek to prevent that obviously needed regulation? Because the Clintonistas believed the Wall Street guys knew what they were doing and that what was good for them was good for us lesser folk. As Summers, who is the top economic adviser in the Obama White House, put it in congressional testimony back then: "The parties to these kinds of contracts are largely sophisticated financial institutions that would appear to be eminently capable of protecting themselves from fraud and counterparty insolvencies."

Sounds nonsensical today: The inspector general's report notes that AIG, because of the deregulatory law that Summers and Geithner pushed through, was "able to sell swaps on $72 billion worth of CDOs to counterparties without holding reserves that a regulated insurance company would be required to maintain." But why, then, is Summers once again running the show with Geithner when both have made careers of exhibiting total contempt for the public interest? Because there is no accountability for the high rollers of finance, no matter who happens to be president.

But conservatives would be discredited as conspiracy nuts for exposing the same...

But, that's OK... sooner or later when you corrupt peoples money... even the left starts to see the the emperors new cloths are a crock...

Hey, this is the Chaplain again. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Years ago I talked with a man who told me he was a Buddhist, a Hindu, a Muslim, and a Christian simultaneously.

This man was absolutely serious about his religious identity. When I asked him why he wanted to be an combination of all of these faiths, he said, “Doesn’t it make sense to have all the bases covered?” The truth is he may have had some imaginary bases covered in his mind; but his sin was not.

Actually, no religion can take care of your sin problem. You see it’s not about a religion, it’s about a relationship. Having a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ; that’s what really covers all the bases. Psalm 32:1 says,

“Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.”

There’s an old church hymn that says it pretty well.

“What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

Embracing the Jesus of Scripture is not a roll of the dice or even a reasonable, educated guess. When we receive Christ as Savior and make Him the Lord of our lives, we are making a declaration that Jesus is everything. We’re betting our lives, our eternal destiny, on Him and Him alone.

Jesus, He’s what it’s all about. If you have Him, you have all you need. Without Him nothing else really matters.

Due to the amazing sums donated to the campaign fund by many Cif readers at the end of last year, we raised enough for a second wave of adverts – and the above posters will launch today.

When, in this Cif piece back in October 2008, we asked how the extra funds should be spent, one of the issues which came up repeatedly in the comments concerned the growth of of faith schools in the UK and the segregation of children according to their parents' beliefs. Many of you felt strongly that children should be given the freedom to decide which belief system they wanted to belong to, if any, and that they should not have a religion decided for them....

You know, its not like kids already have to deal with an overwhelming assault by the media in general against Christianity... now the atheist desire to tell parents to keep their mouths shut about their beliefs to their own children... to leave the children adrift in a secular and anti-Christian world... to make their own choices.... and of course their choices presented certainly won't be... evenly presented... and just who do the atheists suggest be the proper authority to make this presentation of choices to children?

One more infringement on the Biblical role of parents and their responsibility to raise their children in the nurture of Christ.

ClimateGate: The Fix is In

In early October, I covered a breaking story about evidence of corruption in the basic temperature records maintained by key scientific advocates of the theory of man-made global warming. Global warming "skeptics" had unearthed evidence that scientists at the Hadley Climatic Research Unit at Britain's University of East Anglia had cherry-picked data to manufacture a "hockey stick" graph showing a dramatic-but illusory-runaway warming trend in the late 20th century.

But now newer and much broader evidence has emerged that looks like it will break that scandal wide open. Pundits have already named it "Climategate."

A hacker-or possibly a disillusioned insider-has gathered thousands of e-mails and data from the CRU and made them available on the Web. Officials at the CRU have verified the breach of their system and acknowledged that the e-mails appear to be genuine.

Yes, this is a theft of data-but the purpose of the theft was to blow the whistle on a much bigger, more brazen crime. The CRU has already called in the police to investigate the hacker. But now someone needs to call in the cops to investigate the CRU.....

....For more than a decade, we've been told that there is a scientific "consensus" that humans are causing global warming, that "the debate is over" and all "legitimate" scientists acknowledge the truth of global warming. Now we know what this "consensus" really means. What it means is: the fix is in.

This is an enormous case of organized scientific fraud, but it is not just scientific fraud. It is also a criminal act. Suborned by billions of taxpayer dollars devoted to climate research, dozens of prominent scientists have established a criminal racket in which they seek government money-Phil Jones has raked in a total of £13.7 million in grants from the British government-which they then use to falsify data and defraud the taxpayers. It's the most insidious kind of fraud: a fraud in which the culprits are lauded as public heroes. Judging from this cache of e-mails, they even manage to tell themselves that their manipulation of the data is intended to protect a bigger truth and prevent it from being "confused" by inconvenient facts and uncontrolled criticism.

The damage here goes far beyond the loss of a few billions of taxpayer dollars on bogus scientific research. The real cost of this fraud is the trillions of dollars of wealth that will be destroyed if a fraudulent theory is used to justify legislation that starves the global economy of its cheapest and most abundant sources of energy.

This is the scandal of the century. It needs to be thoroughly investigated-and the culprits need to be brought to justice.

Navy Seals Accused of Assaulting Murderer of 4 Blackwater USA Security Guards

Lt. Col. Holly Silkman, spokeswoman for the special operations component of U.S. Central Command, confirmed Tuesday to FoxNews.com that three SEALs have been charged in connection with the capture of a detainee. She said their court martial is scheduled for January.

United States Central Command declined to discuss the detainee, but a legal source told FoxNews.com that the detainee was turned over to Iraqi authorities, to whom he made the abuse complaints. He was then returned to American custody. The SEAL leader reported the charge up the chain of command, and an investigation ensued.

The source said intelligence briefings provided to the SEALs stated that “Objective Amber” planned the 2004 Fallujah ambush, and “they had been tracking this guy for some time.”

The Fallujah atrocity came to symbolize the brutality of the enemy in Iraq and the degree to which a homegrown insurgency was extending its grip over Iraq.

Absolutely beyond the pale of incredulity! And you bet your backside, this is the result of a cowardly regime in both the white house and the Pentagon.

What a total load of politically correct BS insanity!

This guy is responsible for the death of four Americans and one of the most horrendous displays of behavior by an animal ever witnessed and he is afforded victim status after having supposedly being punched in the mouth by a Navy Seal during his capture?

This is what our society and our government has come to. Supposedly, as a result of the "Abu Graib" scandal, this is what our brave warriors are left to contend with and to expect at the hands of their own superiors as a result of political correctness gone mad....

In response to the Columbia Journalism Review’s accusing me of “blackmailing” the Attorney General of the United States, I must take notice that the mainstream media as a journalistic establishment IS paying attention to the ongoing ACORN scandal. Good. I thought so.

What the Columbia Journalism Review is doing is very similar to what Media Matters is doing: protecting the Democrat-Media Complex, the natural alliance of the Democratic Party and the mainstream media. This ACORN investigation has been going on for two months and Hannah, James, and I have proven to be truth-tellers every step of the way, while the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now has been proven time and again to be liars.

Yet instead of engaging the real, newsworthy issues of ACORN’s possible corruption, malfeasance and illegal behavior, the CJR, like its more overtly political online counterpart Media Matters, and indeed every other MSM outlet, has been sitting it out on the sidelines, waiting – rooting – for Hannah Giles, James O’Keefe and me to make a mistake. In fact, my appearance Thursday night is the only time in which the media has introduced itself into this ongoing narrative: proof that it’s paying attention and taking sides.

Neither, by the way, has the CJR challenged James Rainey, a reporter at the Los Angeles Times, who has consistently shaded his coverage favorably toward ACORN since we first broke the story back in September, evincing little interest in the truth but instead muttering about the standards of the Society of Professional Journalists (take link, be sure to read the comments). “But the Society of Professional Journalists has set a standard that deception should be used only when every other reporting approach has been exhausted and only then in certain cases, most notably to reveal a severe social problem or to prevent people from being harmed.”

A “severe social problem”? Perhaps that’s exactly what Congress saw when both the Senate and the House de-funded ACORN (at least temporarily), and the group’s tie with the census was abruptly severed in the wake of our reports. So thank you for the clarification, CJR, and thank you to its appropriately named Mr. Marx for showing that hallowed institution’s true colors at a moment when any sentient being can recognize that the credibility of journalism is on the line. It’s a little like the Sarah Palin situation: the media simultaneously dismisses her as an inept idiot and yet hangs on her every word, hoping to entrap her. Why else would MSNBC send Norah O’Donnell, armed with talking points, to “fact-check” a tee shirt being worn by a young woman at one of Sarah’s recent book signings?

And now to address the fever-swamp’s notion that what I said on “Hannity” last night was “blackmail.” Blackmail occurs when one party threatens to reveal an unsavory piece of information about another party, and demands money in exchange for silence. For obvious reasons, it is most often conducted in private. I, on the other hand, went on national television with a challenge to the Attorney General to do his job; unlike this administration and its justice department, what I did was fully open and transparent.

There will be consequences if there isn’t an investigation into ACORN. The videos will be shown and at a particular moment. There is nothing illegal about my proposed response to the continued inaction from this justice department, and there’s nothing I’d like more than to have my day in court and let a jury hear why I have gone to such extraordinary measures to tell a major story that the dying, partisan, leftist media has worked so hard to suppress.

The days of the Democrat-Media Complex controlling the narrative are in their end times. And if the AG wants to turn his focus on me instead of ACORN, then that day will be closer than many of them think.

Like I said, be in prayer for Andrew.

Andrew Breitbart must have been referring to this stash of illegally dumped documents, by the thousands, from the San Diego ACORN office in his invitation to AG Holder to open up a national investigation of ACORN.

On October 1st, 2009 California Attorney General Jerry Brown announced that an investigation had been opened into ACORN’s activities in California, resulting from undercover videos showing employees seemingly offering to assist the undercover film makers with human smuggling, child prostitution and even tax advice to boot.

Although ACORN has denied any wrongdoing, some of the employees involved were terminated, and ACORN has publicly stated that they would fully cooperate with any investigations that followed.

Interestingly, the local head ACORN organizer in California, David Lagstein was caught on tape earlier this month speaking to an East County Democratic Club.

Mr. Lagstein stated: “…the attorney general is a political animal, but certainly every bit of the communication we have had with them has suggested that the fault will be found with the people that did the video and not the people with ACORN.”

Continuing, Mr. Lagstein stated: “…we are fully cooperating, some of the investigators visited our office this morning and I think they really understand what’s going on.”

Shockingly, we now learn that the ACORN office in National City (San Diego County) engaged in a massive document dump on the evening of October 9th, containing thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents, just days prior to the Attorney General’s visit.

BigGovernment.com has learned that not only did this document dump occur, but the documents in question were irresponsibly and brazenly dumped in a public dumpster, without considering laws and regulations as to how sensitive information should be treated.

I am a local licensed private investigator. I took it upon myself to keep an eye on what the local ACORN office was up to, in light of the release of the undercover videos. I retrieved these documents from the public dumpster.

Documents shared with BigGovernment.com include information exposing not only the inner workings of ACORN in California, but also personal, sensitive information belonging to employees, members and clients of ACORN. ACORN and its few remaining defenders insist that the “good” ACORN provides outweighs the transgressions exposed in the recent undercover video sting. But, ACORN’s massive dumping of these documents and the cavalier manner in which it betrayed the trust of its supporters betrays that talking point...

ACORN’s political agenda is also exposed, with thousands upon thousands of documents revealing the depth of the political machine that is ACORN, and its disturbing ties to not only public employee labor unions but some of the most radical leftist organizations....

Where is the MSM in this continuing breaking story?

The very "scientists" that are hyping the Global Warming hysteria have been proven to be frauds!

I knew this would come out sooner or later... and I am grateful that it is sooner... at least before the Copenhagen meeting in a couple of weeks. The thousands gathering in Copenhagen are going to have a very difficult time doing anything except weep and wail over the exposed e-mail exchanges between "scientists" that expost their collusion and out right lies and cover up of the actual evidence that the earth has actually been cooling for the last ten years.

Well, Thursday is Thanksgiving – it’s a great day to stop and remember how blessed we are, especially here in America.

This holiday should remind us of our Godly roots. Our forefathers recognized that it was the hand of God that preserved them in those early days of struggle. They knew that something more than: blind luck, or fate or karma was working on their behalf. They knew something that far too many Americans have forgotten.

The Bible says,

“The LORD blesses the nation that worships only Him. He blesses his chosen ones.”
(Psalm 33:12)

I believe America is the best place in the world to live. We have so much. Even our “poor folks” have more than the average citizen in this world. Why is that? God’s blessing, plain and simple.

As you’re feasting this Thanksgiving remember who makes it all possible. Psalm 107:8 tells us,

“You should praise the LORD for his love and for the wonderful things He does for all of us.”

We take so much for granted, it’s almost like we think we deserve all these blessings. But we don’t. It’s all by His grace.

Without His hand on your life you could be . . . anywhere but here.

Thank Him.

Here is a democrat calling for the sacking of Geithner and outright accusing Geithner of illegally funneling massive amounts of American's "Bail Out" bucks to provide HUGE bonuses at Goldman Sachs for certain Wall Street Executives.

This administration is rife with corruption and justly deserves the tag "Culture of Corruption." We've never seen anything like this kind of corruption that Obama has brought into our nation's political life... into our nation period.

Rep. Peter DeFazio called for the firing of President Barack Obama's top two economic aides on Wednesday, accusing them of pursuing a recovery plan skewed too heavily in Wall Street's favor.

The Oregon Democrat told MSNBC's Ed Schultz that he was dismayed with the administration's lack of focus on job creation. He said it was time to dismiss both White House economic adviser Larry Summers and Treasury Secretary "Timmy Geithner."

"We think it is time, maybe, that we turn our focus to Main Street -- we reclaim some of the unspent [TARP] funds, we reclaim some of the funds that are being paid back, which will not be paid back in full, and we use it to put people back to work. Rebuilding America's infrastructure is a tried and true way to put people back to work," said DeFazio.

"Unfortunately, the President has an adviser from Wall Street, Larry Summers, and a Treasury Secretary from Wall Street, Timmy Geithner, who don't like that idea," he added. "They want to keep the TARP money either to continue to bail out Wall Street...or to pay down the deficit. That's absurd."

Asked specifically whether Geithner should stay in his job, DeFazio replied: "No.

"Especially if you look back at the AIG scandal," he said, "and Goldman and others who got their bets paid off in full...with taxpayer money through AIG. We channeled the money through them. Geithner would not answer my question when I said, 'Were those naked credit default swaps by Goldman or were they a counterparty?' He would not answer that question."

DeFazio said that there is a growing consensus among the Congressional Progressive Caucus that Geithner needs to be removed. He added that some lawmakers were "considering questions regarding him and other economic advisers" -- though a petition calling for the Treasury Secretary's removal had not been drafted, he said.

"[Obama] is being failed by his economic team," DeFazio concluded. "We may have to sacrifice just two more jobs to get millions back for Americans."

Neither the White House or the Treasury Department immediately returned a request for comment.

U.S. residents fight for the right to hang laundry

PERKASIE, Pennsylvania (Reuters) – Carin Froehlich pegs her laundry to three clotheslines strung between trees outside her 18th-century farmhouse, knowing that her actions annoy local officials who have asked her to stop.

Froehlich is among the growing number of people across America fighting for the right to dry their laundry outside against a rising tide of housing associations who oppose the practice despite its energy-saving green appeal.

Although there are no formal laws in this southeast Pennsylvania town against drying laundry outside, a town official called Froehlich to ask her to stop drying clothes in the sun. And she received two anonymous notes from neighbors saying they did not want to see her underwear flapping about.

"They said it made the place look like trailer trash," she said, in her yard across the street from a row of neat, suburban houses. "They said they didn't want to look at my 'unmentionables.'"

Froehlich says she hangs her underwear inside. The effervescent 54-year-old is one of a growing number of Americans demanding the right to dry laundry on clotheslines despite local rules and a culture that frowns on it....

...For Froehlich, the "right to hang" is the embodiment of the American tradition of freedom.

"If my husband has a right to have guns in the house, I have a right to hang laundry," said Froehlich, who is writing a book on the subject.

Besides, it saves money. Line-drying laundry for a family of five saves $83 a month in electric bills, she said....

Really, not a bad idea though... to hang the clothes!

About "Our Choice"

On a page by itself, we find this inside the front cover of Al Gore's latest climate fraud promotion book:

"I'm offering you the choice of life or death. You can choose either blessings or curses."
(Deuteronomy Chapter 30, Verse 19)

Let's imagine that a Republican former vice president (say Dan Quayle or Dick Cheney) authored a similar book telling us that apocalypse was at hand unless we shoveled massive amounts of public money toward companies they've heavily invested in. Let's say the Republican-authored book also prominently featured the Bible verse above, suggesting that Quayle or Cheney was offering the reader the choice between life of death.

In the scenario above, would the mainstream media give Quayle or Cheney with the same respect and free book promotion airtime that Gore has received in recent weeks?

Dems alarmed as independents bolt

Mounting evidence that independent voters have soured on the Democrats is prompting a debate among party officials about what rhetorical and substantive changes are needed to halt the damage.

Following serious setbacks with independents in off-year elections earlier this month, White House officials attributed the defeats to local factors and said President Barack Obama sees no need to reposition his own image or the Democratic message.

Since then, however, a flurry of new polls makes clear that Democrats are facing deeper problems with independents—the swing voters who swung dramatically toward the party in 2006 and 2008 but who now are registering deep unease with the amount of spending and debt called for under Obama's agenda in an era of one-party rule in Washington.....

And... one doesn't have to look very closely to see the blatant racism in The Atlantic article as it's focus in on Black and Hispanic Christians being sucked into the "prosperity gospel" narrative.

Palin angered by 'sexist' Newsweek cover

For the second time since Sarah Palin stepped into the national political spotlight, a photo of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate featured on the cover of Newsweek magazine is sparking controversy. Palin herself blasted the "out-of-context" cover as "sexist" on her Facebook page....

"The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness -- a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention -- even if out of context.....

You've got to give her credit, she's not a push over.

Now... exactly what is it about this woman that they fear so much? The more they malign her... the more air time she gets... and they better watch out... the more America sees the more they might just actually like her.
