Yahweh, Day 141

Day 141, Yahweh: The Prime Source
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth."
Isaiah 40:27-30 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
This march of logic is crushing to the "opinionated" mind.
"Who gave Him understanding and taught Him the paths of justice?  Who taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding?"
Isaiah 40:14 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
These questions are levied for the purpose of trying to help a man come to the reality that there is Someone whose opinions are greater than their own.
This is in The Name.
Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Teach us … reach us … for Your Name’s sake … open our understanding … to Your great Mind … that we might present You and Your greatness to our skeptical world.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Today's Cherished Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“When we see everyone is a part of us,
that any criticism we make is self-criticism,
we will extend to ourselves an unconditional love
that will light the world” (Harry Palmer).
The Bible, in Genesis 1:27-28, gives us the account of creation, the time when God created Adam and Eve in His image. Shortly thereafter, man, through sin, messed it up. Then, in Genesis 6-8 (just 8 generations from Adam), God, through the flood, again reduced us to one family. So any time we are tempted to criticize or to make fun of another race or person with infirmities, we must remind ourselves: "This is my brother."
God, thank You for my family. Help me to encourage, not to criticize, my extended brothers and sisters. Amen.

Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“Worship does not satisfy our hunger for God; it whets our appetite” (Eugene H. Peterson).
When we draw nearer to God, He draws nearer to us, for as we spend time with Him, we want to spend more time with Him.
The writer of Psalms 73:25-26 says, “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.  My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.”
God, let us fall in love with You all over…every day.  Amen.
