Yahweh, Day 97

 

Day 97, Yahweh: Fulfilling

“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” Psalm 81:10 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Have you ever wondered just what Yahweh desires to "fill" one with?

Purpose.

Apart from Yahweh's purpose for one's life ... all one has is ... vanity.

Desperately empty ... and sad lives ... so sad ... always yearning ... striving ... longing ... grasping the wind.

Please ... open your mouth ... wide.  You will be filled.

It's in The Name.

Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Help us to discover Your purpose for our lives … that we might bring glory to Your Name.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Daily Nugget

    Sunday, November 30th, 2014.  Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.

A man stopped to chat with a farmer who was erecting a new building. He asked, “What are you putting up?”

The farmer replied, “Well, if I can rent it, it’s a rustic cottage. If I can’t, it’s a cow shed."

Life is not always fun or fair, but we must be willing to let God show us the benefit in the struggles that come our way.  Remember the words of the apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-13:  “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

We must learn to trust God and to keep our options open for Him to bless us.

God, thank You for being with us in the bad times as well as the good ones.  Amen.

Yahweh, Day 96

 

Day 96, Yahweh: Ever Reaching Out

“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

It has often been reported that a drifting soul could not "find" God ... could not "reach" God in prayer ... could not be "heard" by God ... by the drifting soul.

Just perhaps ... one should cease trying ... and become quiet ... and still ... and just ... listen.  Yahweh reaches out to reach each and every drifting soul.

It's in The Name.

Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Help us to hear Your still … small … voice.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

     Monday, November 24th, 2014.  Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.

We must not let our forgetters work overtime at this season; we must remember to give thanks to God who is worthy of praise and thanks.  The writer of Psalms 104:2 reminds us to “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

God, thank You God for my salvation and for many other benefits.  Amen.

Day 95, Yahweh: Hungering to Feed

“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” Psalm 81:10 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

The picture here is of the infant bird in the nest ... and upon hearing it's parent bird arrive with a delightful morsel of sustenance ... opens its mouth as wide as it can ... crying out as loud as it can in desire for food.

 This is the hunger Yahweh looks for ... and He is hungry to feed such as this.

 It's in The Name.

 Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  How do we learn to hunger for the wonders that You have to offer more than the trite … ‘bling’ …  of this plastic culture?  Oh Father!  For the sake of Your Name … lift our heads out of the gutter of the corruptible … to see and desire that which is glorious and eternal … that we might show forth the glory and majesty of Your favor.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
