Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“Youth has to do with spirit, not age. Men of seventy and eighty are often more youthful than the young” (Henry Miller).
May we catch the vision of Joshua’s strength in Joshua 14:11 that says, “As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.”

Even as we grow older, may our vision and vigor not decrease, but may we use our abilities to become what the Heavenly Father desires for us.
God, let me walk with you forever as in the days of my youth. Amen.

Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“Worship is not about having a fantastic voice” (Temi Peters).
Many folks are afraid that their voice is not sufficient to praise God. The truth is God is worshiped by every pebble in the stream that changes the gurgle the water makes. Every tree and each leaf makes the sound of the breeze change its pitch.
Our voice also--whether whisper or robust, soprano or gravelly bass--is made just like God wanted us to be at the time of our creation.  The only shame is to remain silent and not to blend our voice with others so to create the harmony for which we were created by our Holy God.
The writer of Psalms 150:6 says, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.” If you are reading this, you qualify! Do NOT waste your opportunity.
God, thank You for creating each of us uniquely and for allowing us to join the universe in worshiping You.  Amen.

Yahweh Day 151

Day 151 Yahweh: Contrasting Emptiness
"When I look, there is no one; there is no counselor among them; when I ask them, they have nothing to say. Look, all of them are a delusion; their works are nonexistent; their images are wind and emptiness."
Isaiah 41:28-29 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
Jesus/YahShua presents a blessed alternative to the emptiness that the world and idols offers.
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit-the Father will send Him in My name-will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.”
John 14:26 (Holman Christian Standard  Bible)
The counselors that follow the world’s “wisdom” are delusional, empty, and would send a person in the opposite direction from righteousness.  Quite a contrast.
This is in The Name.
Intercessory Prayer; Oh Father! How tragic that desperate souls would be sent down the road to destruction rather than directed to the path of light and life. Oh Father! Have mercy on those desperate souls! Mercy. For Your Name’s sake … for You are a compassionate and caring Father! In Jesus Name. Amen.

Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“God’s investment in us is so great He could not possibly abandon us” (Erwin W. Lutzer).
“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
This is such a familiar verse to most of us as Christians; yet, because of its simplicity, we may lose the depth of it. The very fact that The Creator of the universe loved me (and you) enough to allow His own Son to go to the cross for us is beyond human understanding. His investment in us is an assurance that He has placed value on us.
God, thank You for loving me enough to give your Son to pay my debt. Amen.
