Come on gang... good grief, wise up! This from MSNBC is the next game they are playing... it's a ruse... there's no true questioning from this reporter... just attempting to trick conservatives into THINKING that the president has done something that progressives are upset about... attempting to make it appear he is moving toward the middle.

It's a flank move... attempting to get conservatives to think the president is... reachable.

Don't for one second think it. This is deeply vetted and scripted by a progressive machine... and the president is only the front man.

We are in a war of ideologies... it is not about personalities.

News Busters
MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Rants Over Drilling: Is President Obama 'Nothing More Than a Democrat in Name Only?'

According to MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan, Barack Obama is nothing more than a shill for the Republican Party. The liberal anchor on Wednesday railed against the President's plan to allow limited offshore oil drilling: "This is a fraud...Is a pattern emerging? Is President Obama nothing more than a Democrat in name only? Dare we say it? A DINO?"....

Anyone who thinks that this might be a crack in the door... has a gap in their comprehension of the true enemy we face.

This is like the story of the wounded devil pleading for mercy from the traveling preacher... convincing the preacher that he is really the one that keeps the preacher in a job by causing people to need a preacher... so the preacher nourishes the devil back to health and sends him on his way.

Don't for a second fall for these shenanigans.

It's supposed to be spring in England and Wales... yet... they are still having blizzards as of today... with more in the forecast.

Telegraph UK report
Motorists rescued from snow as winter storms batter Britain

Around 300 people - including children on a school bus - have been rescued from cars trapped in snow on the Glenshane Pass near Londonderry, as severe winter storms battered parts of Britain.

Blizzards, gale force winds and torrential rain have hit Scotland and Northern Ireland, knocking down power lines and wreaking transport havoc.

The Met Office has issued extreme weather warnings for the two regions, forecasting more severe blizzards and severe drifting snow up to 50cm (20in) deep in parts....

I know, I know, weather is not climate... yada, yada, yada...

According to this article Global Warming Alarmists are going to try to convince courts via law suits, that individual companies are now responsible for... Hurricane Katrina, global warming...etc...

FOX news report
Global Warming Advocates Threaten Blizzard of Lawsuits

Environmentalists, unable to squeeze "cap and trade" rules through the U.S. Senate, have a new strategy for combating what they believe is man-made global warming:... They're going to sue.

They're revving up their briefs and getting ready to shop for judges who will be sympathetic to their novel claim that the companies they believe contribute to global warming are a "public nuisance."

The environmentalists allege that individual companies are responsible for climate change because they have emitted greenhouse gases during the course of their operations. Those gases, they say, have "harmed" them by fostering Hurricane Katrina, eroding the shorelines of America's coasts and causing global warming....

There currently are three lawsuits in different parts of the U.S. pushing this agenda, and more cases could be filed soon. Environmental law experts say one of the cases may make it to the U.S. Supreme Court in the coming years:

-- Connecticut v. AEP. Plaintiffs sued electric power producers to cap and then reduce their carbon emissions. Public nuisance tort law suit.

-- Corner v. Murphy Oil. Plaintiffs sued oil company, blaming the energy producer for causing Hurricane Katrina. Plaintiffs are seeking damages for the hurricane.

-- Kivalina v. Exxon. Alaska natives sued oil companies and power companies and coal company alleging that greenhouse gases they emit contribute to global warming and threaten their existence.

Some lawyers objects strongly to this line of attack. Richard O. Faulk, chairman of the litigation department at Gardere Wynne Sewell, objects to the legal tack and is filing a court brief in the Corner v. Murphy Oil case....

Faulk said that there are no standards for judges to discern a company's "contribution" to global warming. "There is no rational way to determine whether any particular defendant's contribution was sufficiently substantial for anyone's particular harm," he said.....

As Mr. Faulk states... there is no "rational way" to make these claims... in other words... these alarmist lawyers are going to try to confiscate money from individual American companies in the name of global warming.

And they wonder why lawyers have a bad reputation?

“Four things go together: silence, listening, prayer, truth.”
(Hubert Van Zeller)

There are times to sing, times to praise, times to shout, and times to be silent and reflect. The writer of the Psalm 46 reminds us to
“Be still and know I am God.”

"Instead of speaking when I should be listening, God, let me remain silent as You speak to me.
Amen."

Here is a video taken secretly last year of Rep. Bart Stupak admitting that he intended to vote for the health care bill all along!

"STUPAK: If I'm given a clean shot, and I'm allowed to bring it up, and a rule comes up, and I'm allowed to have my amendment, and let's say we lose that 218 to 216, would I then vote for health care? Yeah, if it's a good bill, I would, because I want health care, and as long as I had a shot to vote my conscience, then I would feel comfortable. I've done all I could as one member to protect the sanctity of life....

There you have it from the horse's mouth... good ol' Bart was going to vote for the health care monstrosity all along... as long as he got to present an anti-abortion amendment that was destined to be voted down... he justifies the "yes" vote because he at least got to voice his objection to abortion?

Now that is some amazing twisting of logic Bart.

This must have been why Pelosi kept saying that they had the votes to pass the bill... behind closed doors knowledge... it was a set-up... or if you will... it was an overt ambush of the American moral conviction.

So... it was all a charade.

Come on Bart... fess up... you are a progressive in sheep's clothing.

You've been outed.

Day 51
Yahweh...

Loving and Obeying Him

Yesterday we saw the responsibility of loving Yahweh... and we saw Jesus restating the same need that we love Him and obey His commandments.

First our Old Testament text.

Deuteronomy 7:9
"Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

And again the Lord Jesus in John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

And what is it that Christ commands us? First that we love one another...
"I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:34-35 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Our Savior here states that this call to love one another is a new commandment... and with the newness of this command He states that it will be through this committal love that the world will know that we are in fact disciples of Jesus.

So... how do you think we are doing?

How do you think the world thinks we are doing?

How are you doing?

“Christian action should be defined as an action of God mediated through a person.”
(Archbishop Anthony Bloom, 1914–2003)

While we are here on earth, we are to be living for Jesus in all that we do. That is a rearrangement of a line from one of the old hymns by T.O. Chisholm, "Living For Jesus."

Many times throughout the year, this song comes to my mind, reminding me that we are His hands, feet, and other body parts to be alive for Him. The apostle Paul puts it this way in Philippians 1:21a:
“For to me to live is Christ.”
Let us live daily in such a way as to define by our lives what Christ would do if He were physically here.

"God, You are my very life. Let me live for You.
Amen."

O Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone and all the roses falling;
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow.
Yes, I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow;
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so!

But when ye come, and all the flow'rs are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be.
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.

And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me;
And oh my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me;
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!

Marine Down!

Not all casualties fall on the battle field... but they are born there... few can comprehend the death that springs to life in the heart... covered by the life of a friend.

What horror holds a day?

45 men walk away... then... just hours later... 4 remain... alive... yet not really... and... that was just one day... there were hundreds of days...

Can you know what it is to die... in your heart... yet live?

First there is the rage that captures the soul like a bandit... rage that lusts for... I'm sorry... but lusts for blood... "By god... they will pay!"

Yet... you soon learn... the more you kill... the more you die... and sooner than later you are repulsed by your lust.

Then you enter a fate worse than death... you try not to care.

How do you not care when another one falls... and another one dies... and another one's down...

...so then you hate... you hate the one who kills and you hate the one who dies... "DON'T YOU DIE ON ME YOU SORRY BASTARD!"

And you can never go home... yet one day you wake up to once familiar faces... but they don't know you... and you determine that they never will.

Then comes a dawn.... you remember the death that was born in your heart... buried in the life of another... and another... and another... and you grit your teeth... and you suck your gut... and you decide that by every ounce of being that might reside in your sorry excuse for breathing air... someone out there needs a marine.

He's a kid with no dad. She's a girl that's marked by... well... you know.

In the night you hear a thousand cries and thunder and lightening and... you can't stop the drive to do all you can to save that one lost soul... that one desperate whimper in the dark...

So... you decide to live until you die... and when death comes you spit in his face.

But by god... others now live... because you died a thousand times over.

Thanks Danny Boy,

It was an honor knowing you.

“The best portions of a good man’s life—His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.”
(William Wordsworth, 1770–1850)

Things that follow you and me through our lives, no matter how long or how short, will probably not be the grandiose, monumental, orchestrated events, however, the times we slowed down and touched a child or some other individual who is not able to repay our deed, those will be the best of the best times.

The apostle Paul puts it into perspective for us in Acts 17:28:
“For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.”

"God, Live in and through me. Let others see Your Son in me.
Amen."

When our nation's minorities finally figure out that they are being used... as common fodder... to accomplish a "progressive political" agenda... well the blow-back isn't going to be pretty for the progressive camp.

And as you read the whole following article at the link by Star Parker you will see that this lady has figured it out... and she's talking.

Washington Examiner
Star Parker: On the government plantation forever?

Let's do a quick thought experiment. The price of apples keeps going up. The government decides that every American must buy apples. But some can't afford them.

Government starts controlling how much apple farmers are paid, it mandates that every single American buys apples, and subsidizes those under a certain income level so they can.

Will the price of apples go down, stay the same, or go up? Or, in economist's language, if you limit supply of a commodity and increase demand, will the price of that commodity go up or down?

Did you say up? You get an A....

.... as more Americans get herded onto the government plantation -- 30 million more with this new bill -- it's easy to keep them there. So, the most likely political outcome going forward is higher taxes and income redistribution to pay for it all, further entrenching socialism.

As I have written before, if you want to know where it all leads, look at our inner cities that were long ago taken over by government compassion. This is our future, my fellow Americans.....

God Bless you Ms. Star Parker... and here is praying that there will be millions more listening to your wisdom and insight.

Progressives are upping the ante in demonizing everyday Americans...

... and it is actually encouraging to see.

Do you know why?

Daily Caller Opinion
Demonizing everyday Americans
By Ken Blackwell

There appears to be a concerted effort among the political left and many mainstream media people to demonize and marginalize the expanding citizen-based movement known as Tea Party movement. This effort flows from both a fear of what these tea parties represent and a contempt for everyday Americans. But those ordinary citizens are poised to be the ones laughing when it’s all over, when democracy takes its course.

There seems to be a consensus now among the liberal elite when it comes to the Tea Parties. Senior administration officials deride them, as do liberal congressional Democrats. These elitists characterize the tea partiers as extremists, some drawing analogies between these ordinary citizens and right-wing militias, fanatics, and religious zealots. Some members of Congress are even saying that these Tea Party people are racist, which is pretty much the worst label that can be slapped on you in modern politics.

And many leftist talking heads in the media parrot this message, with their own biting editorial, adding that some in the Tea Party crowd are dangerous. Some talking heads, including some Hollywood actors and others who don’t seem to have any credentials as policy analysts but are nonetheless given air time, are really playing up the racism angle, and even suggest that some Tea Party attendees may be domestic terrorists.....

But... this is good because what this means is that everyday Americans are scoring points "big time" and the progressives are desperate... thus the accusations.

And what are everyday Americans doing to frighten the progressives so? They are simply getting up off the couch after a hard day's work and making sure they are being heard by the politicians... and for this simplest of constitutional guarantees... "free speech"... they are labeled everything other than a normal person.

But... this is really great... for what few realize is that this mad drive to control American's lives and resources... is bringing about a great awakening.

A slumbering giant is rising... and he's not very happy... and his weapon is the voting booth... and he knows how to use his weapon.

Sunday, March 28th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“For anything worth having, one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice —no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service.”
(John Burroughs, 1837–1921)

When we look at what Jesus did for us, we are reminded that we can never repay the debt we owe Him.

Money or the works of our hands will never be enough or even close to adequate payment for the sacrifice He made for us. What God desires in return is that we worship Him. Jesus reminded us of this in John 4:23-24:
“The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

"God, thank You for Your Son’s sacrifice for me. Amen."

Here's an editorial by The Borg Conspiracy that should be read by all.

That Hope & Change Ain't Working

There is a daily rancor of noise being generated on both sides of the political isle these days. Mean while, America slides closer and closer to the great abyss of complete economic and financial collapse.

We simply cannot sustain the runaway train of more and more entitlements and more and more spending. And at a time when we have literally reached critical mass, the answer certainly isn't to spend more money that we don't have and to continue that spending with wild deficits. Yet that has been the only plan put forth by the Obama administration from day one. And fifteen months into this lunacy of a socialist administration, those that are paying attention are noting that things are not getting any better at all, they are getting worse.

CBO report: Debt will rise to 90% of GDP

President Obama's fiscal 2011 budget will generate nearly $10 trillion in cumulative budget deficits over the next 10 years, $1.2 trillion more than the administration projected, and raise the federal debt to 90 percent of the nation's economic output by 2020, the Congressional Budget Office reported Thursday....

Need to go read it all then...

Consider and ponder.

Sad isn't it. Our elected (leaders) want us (U.S.) to be like them ! Read Washington's farewell address to the nation, read Jefferson. Don't forget how and WHY our country was founded. Read the prayer those men offered up when they first gathered to form a more perfect Union.

I'm sorry. Guess I have too much time on my hands.

The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

Question: What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Is homosexuality a sin?

Answer: The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22;; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1Cor 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God has never created anyone to be a homosexual. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choices. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for him to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true with homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).

"There once was a church on a busy highway, a church where many people stopped to ask for money. The minister said he helped each one. Some he helped by giving them what they asked, and some he helped by refusing to give them what they asked."

God does the same thing with each of us. When we pray, God helps each of us. Some of us are helped when He answers "yes," and some when He answers "no." The writer of James 4:2-3 says,
“Ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

"God, thank You for the times Your answer has been "no," as well as when You answerd "yes." Amen.

2 days ago xtnyoda reported the nonsense of the "submerged island" due to "anthropogenic global warming" fraudulent claims... today there is an excellent article with more real information... the island turns out to have been nothing more than a sandbar.

Climate Change Fraud article
....Note in the map below that the island was a river estuary, meaning it wasn’t made out of rock as claimed. It was made out of mud and sand. From Wikipedia:
The island was situated only two kilometers from the mouth of the Hariabhanga River. The emergence of the island was first discovered by an American satellite in 1974 that showed the island to have an area of 2,500 sq meters (27,000 sq ft). Later, various remote sensing surveys showed that the island had expanded gradually to an area of about 10,000 sq meters (110,000 sq ft) at low tide, including a number of ordinarily submerged shoals. The highest elevation of the island had never exceeded two meters above sea level.

The AP claim (probably from Seth Borenstein) is that global warming induced sea level rise has submerged the island, and that is complete nonsense.

After a while these alarmists get rather boring... they look for something "new" to report... and in the effort for the new and intimidating they become ever more ridiculous.

Well... if this is the way they want to be remembered... so be it.

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.”
(Peace Pilgrim)

The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the Philippians in chapter 4:7-9:
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Chris Matthews of Hardball is digging deep to make republicans appear racist... but he's coming up empty handed... uh... looking rather foolish actually.

Daily Caller report
Chris Matthews compares opposition to health-care bill individual mandate to segregation

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews interviewed Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox Tuesday night where Cox asserted it was unprecedented in the history of the federal government’s regulation of interstate commerce that U.S. citizens be forced to buy a product, in this case insurance coverage, a reference to the individual mandate in the health-care law signed earlier in the day by President Barack Obama.

Matthews attempted to dispute Cox by invoking segregation and the 1964 civil rights legislation and said Congress had previously regulated interstate commerce in a comparable way by forcing hotel owners to sell rooms to blacks. An incredulous Cox noted that Matthews’ example was a non-sequitur and that it was comparing “apples and oranges” since a black customer was not being forced to buy a room from any establishment by federal legislation.

Matthews tried to salvage his argument claiming that the civil rights legislation showed that the federal government had much sway in shaping interstate commerce, at which point Cox, again, patiently explained the difference between refusing service to minorities and forcing individuals to spend their personal savings on a service or product.

Kudos to Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox... that was a fun view sir!

Day 50
Yahweh...

Loving Him

There is a responsibility for mankind... or if you will... a requirement held by Yahweh... we are to love Him and keep His commandments.
Deuteronomy 7:9
"Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

We find this reiterated by the Lord Jesus in the Gospel of John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)
And what is it that Christ commands us? Two things we will see tomorrow... to love one another... and to become as Christ in character.

Should these two requirements be so hard?

Who would not desire to learn them?

There really seems to be no end to the debauchery being shoved at our children.

Now... it's starting to come via the Girl Scouts of America?

Daily Caller article
Salacious Scouts: Make new sex partners and keep the old
By Sharon Slater

I am a reluctant witness against the Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout myself, and I know of many honorable women who have devoted years of service to this program. But leaders, parents, supporters and concerned citizens need to know that something has gone very wrong with the Girl Scouts.

On March 1, while I was participating in the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the United Nations, I was asked to leave a closed-door, “girls only” meeting sponsored by the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA). As soon as the meeting ended, I entered the room, and from a stack on the back table, picked up a booklet, “Healthy, Happy, and Hot,” produced by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). I was stunned as I flipped through the pages.

This offensive booklet promotes sexual pleasure to teens. It includes such statements as:
“Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse. But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex.”

The booklet encourages masturbation and talking “dirty” and depicts both same-sex and opposite-sex couples. It also tells HIV-infected teens that they do not have to inform their sexual partners they are infected.....

Happy, Healthy, Hot booklet if you care to see it all.

Consider and ponder.

Last week xtnyoda recorded the second installment of the white house reported crime of trying to influence an election... and today comes installment number 3 in the continuing saga.

CBS news report
GOP Lawmaker Darrell Issa Poised to Call for Special Prosecutor to Investigate White House

Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight committee, told CBS News Wednesday that he will call for a special prosecutor to investigate the White House if it does not address Rep. Joe Sestak's claim that he was offered a federal job in exchange for dropping out of the Pennsylvania Senate primary.

"If the public doesn't receive a satisfactory answer, the next step would be to call for a special prosecutor, which is well within the statute," Issa (pictured) told Hotsheet.

The California Republican has been pushing for the White House to provide details of conversations between Sestak and administration officials in the wake of Sestak's comment during a radio interview last month that he was offered a high-ranking administration job in exchange for dropping his primary challenge against Sen. Arlen Specter.....

It is refreshing to see that at least one of the MSM networks are starting to pick up the story.

The Borg Conspiracy responded with some very helpful insight that xtnyoda doesn't want our readers to miss... so... I am going to add his comments here to make sure they are not lost in the comments section... too important for that.
Locutisprime said...

It's not so much a calorie counter coming our way soon, as it is a means to tax people for their fat.

And that will begin at the entry level of all foods and ultimately on the scale in the doctor's office. And all points in between.

What greater piece of virgin territory to tax than to tax the fat and obese millions in America. And I am more than sure that our friends at the UN will be more than interested in getting their fare share of the bounty to be reaped by taxing the fat and opulent Americans.

Meanwhile, the obesity reality in America is more tied to what we eat and have been eating over the past forty years in this country than anything else.

When trying to solve a crime, you have to go back to the scene of the crime. And the scene of the crime? Was when we allowed the substitution of alternative sugars and enhanced preservatives and flavorings and genetically modified vegetables and animals into our foods.

We were literally begging for the consequences we now see as a consequence of processed foods.

The money to be made is in getting and keeping Americans fat and I am afraid they have accomplished their goals through the use of chemicals and sugars.

And now their goals are to sell us the medications that will stave off or placate the resulting diseases of heart disease and diabetes that are the consequences of our own sloth.

Consider and ponder.

The global warming alarmists just can't keep from lying... and in this case they are missing what might actually be happening... and probably is happening...

... for what is happening is the fact that we inhabit a dynamic planet that is constantly changing.

The very recent seismic earthquakes all around the globe should give these alarmists some clue that the upper crust of our planet is in a state of flux... Teutonic Plates are shifting... lands are rising and sinking over the entire globe... including the area where this island is located.

Perhaps the ever increasing volatility of our dynamic planet should be of more concern and consideration... instead of the constant dribble of castigating CO2 in the atmosphere.

NEW DELHI – For nearly 30 years, India and Bangladesh have argued over control of a tiny rock island in the Bay of Bengal. Now rising sea levels have resolved the dispute for them: the island's gone.

New Moore Island in the Sunderbans has been completely submerged, said oceanographer Sugata Hazra, a professor at Jadavpur University in Calcutta. Its disappearance has been confirmed by satellite imagery and sea patrols, he said.

"What these two countries could not achieve from years of talking, has been resolved by global warming," said Hazra.

Scientists at the School of Oceanographic Studies at the university have noted an alarming increase in the rate at which sea levels have risen over the past decade in the Bay of Bengal.....

This idea of rising sea levels has been resoundingly debunked just within the last two months... world wide debunked.

One would think these folks would learn to read.

H/T to Jeremy for the prayer for our military... some gave all... don't forget.

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands Protect them as they protect us Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
~~ SOME GAVE ALL ~~

I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero yes was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free

I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall

Some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died
America can't you see

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall

Some gave all

And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall,
Yes recall
Some gave all

Some gave all

angel fire... "Some Gave All"

Consider and ponder.

Wednesday, March 24th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Do every act in thy life as if it were the last.”
(Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, 121–180)

The truth of the statement above is that chances are today will be the last act someone will ever see you do. What kind of impression will that make on them?

As we walk this path of life, we leave a trail behind. What will that trail reflect? Will it be a trail of slime as left by a slug that most people want to avoid? Or will it be a pleasant fragrance, such as the plate of sugar cookies made by your mom or grandmother?

Let us walk daily as did the writer of Psalm 26:11:
“But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. My foot standeth in an even place.”

"God, thank You for walking with me daily, leading me in paths where, otherwise, I would stumble.
Amen."

Let's see now... is the following article a brick in the house being built that says we need to count our calories... for the sake of Nationalized Health Care?

Yahoo news report
Study: Last Supper paintings supersize the food... Has even the Last Supper been supersized?

The food in famous paintings of the meal has grown by biblical proportions over the last millennium, researchers report in a medical journal Tuesday.

Using a computer, they compared the size of the food to the size of the heads in 52 paintings of Jesus Christ and his disciples at their final meal before his death.

If art imitates life, we're in trouble, the researchers conclude. The size of the main dish grew 69 percent; the size of the plate, 66 percent, and the bread, 23 percent, between the years 1000 and 2000.

Supersizing is considered a modern phenomenon, but "what we see recently may be just a more noticeable part of a very long trend," said Brian Wansink, a food behavior scientist at Cornell University.....

I have a feeling that we are going to start being bombarded from every imaginable angle about our eating habits... going all the way back to Christ now as a comparison of how we should really eat...

The article doesn't mention that during the time of Christ the average life expectancy in Rome was around 20 years... then was up to around 40 when the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock according to medrounds encyclopedia... and now in America it is 77.6 years for the typical American according to Live Science.

So... obviously now our eating habits are bad for us?

A calory counter is coming our way soon... for our own benefit and our nation's benefit... of course.

Consider and ponder.

Jack Welch, former Chairman and CEO of GE has a pretty sobering estimation for the actual costs we are looking at with this new Nationalized Health Care package the president signed into law today...

a couple of trillion dollars... pushing health care costs "out of sight" he says...

CNBC report
Health-Care Law Will Push Costs 'Out of Sight': Jack Welch

The newly passed overhaul of the nation’s health care system is expected to push expenses "out of sight" and cost the country "a couple trillion dollars," Jack Welch, former chairman and CEO of General Electric, told CNBC.

"Right now, people do get health insurance in a more expensive fashion through emergency rooms and the government supports that,” Welch said in a live interview. “It’s been supported for years and it's a well known phenomenon.”

Welch said while he doubts that employees will be laid off due to the expense of health care, the cost of the new policy is going to be “out of sight.”

“I think we're talking about a couple trillion dollars…of overage, not savings," he said.

“Attacking this thing piece by piece would be a way to go at it, and if the objective is to insure more people, we can do that piece by piece by piece and pay for it," he said of the bill. "Pay for it with a Medicare, tax on the rich if they want." .....

Honestly... xtnyoda was a little surprised to find this on CNBC?

Of course Jack is only the former head of a pretty successful business enterprise in America... so what does he know... compared to our politicians who only know how to spend the money that the likes of Jack have made.

Now... who's right? The politicians that promise that this new health care bill is going to save America a trillion dollars... or a CEO that says it's going to cost trillions of dollars?

There is a slight difference in the two projections... isn't there.

Consider and ponder.

Tuesday, March 23rd. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.”
(John Burroughs)

Each day, God gives us seconds, minutes, and hours. What we choose to do with that time makes all the difference in life. Jesus tells us this in John 10:10:
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
We must have the faith to walk with God and make the most of every day He gives us.

"God, You bless me daily more than I deserve or can imagine.
Amen."

I've been hearing a great deal of talk today about encouraging "civil disobedience" in the wake of the health care vote last night... starting with things like not answering the census, etc... what does xtnyoda think about this?

xtnyoda thinks that right now... simple acts of disobedience are probably exactly what the progressives are desiring and hoping for.

Why?

If you get arrested and get a criminal record... you might feel like you are doing something... you know... taking a stand for righteousness, etc... but do you think it would be worth making a political, one time statement that would cost you the right of voting?

That is exactly what the progressives are hoping will happen... because the more conservative votes that are lost... the easier to push their agenda.

Think about it.

The rise of "Conservatism" is going to be swift... dramatic... and draped in awe.

Mitt Romney gives us just a tiny taste today... there is much more coming.

Mitt Romney on NRO
A Campaign Begins Today [Mitt Romney]

America has just witnessed an unconscionable abuse of power. President Obama has betrayed his oath to the nation — rather than bringing us together, ushering in a new kind of politics, and rising above raw partisanship, he has succumbed to the lowest denominator of incumbent power: justifying the means by extolling the ends. He promised better; we deserved better.

He calls his accomplishment “historic” — in this he is correct, although not for the reason he intends. Rather, it is an historic usurpation of the legislative process — he unleashed the nuclear option, enlisted not a single Republican vote in either chamber, bribed reluctant members of his own party, paid-off his union backers, scapegoated insurers, and justified his act with patently fraudulent accounting. What Barack Obama has ushered into the American political landscape is not good for our country; in the words of an ancient maxim, “what starts twisted, ends twisted.”

His health-care bill is unhealthy for America. It raises taxes, slashes the more private side of Medicare, installs price controls, and puts a new federal bureaucracy in charge of health care. It will create a new entitlement even as the ones we already have are bankrupt. For these reasons and more, the act should be repealed. That campaign begins today.

Remember the cheering at the vote last night... don't forget... for an accounting is sweeping down from the heights... an accounting that will reverberate for 100 years.

These are the days that are going to make steel of men and women... and will put to chase the carpetbaggers of class war and deception.

At long last... conservatives will learn the meaning of passion.

We will see it.

The Rev. Al Sharpton informs us after last night's vote... that when America elected our president we were voting for... and knowingly voting for... a transformation of our government from a "Democratic Republic" to "Socialism"... says it was Obama's stated platform...

Uhhhh... Rev. Al..... we'll see if that is what American's knowingly voted for.

We'll see... you might be surprised.

Great is the outcry for "social justice" these days... a cry generally cloaked in the idea that the producers owe the consumers more of what the producers... produce.

North Carolina has another "social justice" issue in the news today that xtnyoda is delighted to see... to the tune of 9 million dollars.

ABC news report
Wife Wins $9 Million From Husband's Alleged Mistress
North Carolina 'Alienation of Affection' Law May Force Alleged Mistress to Pay Up

Cynthia Shackelford's story could have been no different than that of any other aggrieved wife: The North Carolina woman, 60, thought her husband Allan was deeply in love with her. Then came his late nights at the office and suspicious charges on his credit card and cell phone bills. And finally, a private investigator confirmed what she had feared: Her husband, she said, was having an affair.

But Shackelford's story has a $9 million twist. Under centuries-old North Carolina case law, Shackelford sued her husband's alleged mistress, Anne Lundquist, for "alienation of affection," charging that the woman broke up her 33-year marriage.

Last week, Shackelford won. A jury awarded her $5 million in compensatory damages and $4 million in punitive damages to be paid by Lundquist.

"She set her sights on him. ... She knew he was married," Shackelford said of Lundquist. "You don't go after married men and break up families." ....

How many cold showers would have been worth 9 million dollars?

Many states have done away with similar laws feeling that they were in some way antiquated... and as the article says further... in so doing they in effect legalized adultery.... not so North Carolina however... and good for them.

Thinking of making a game of it? Better check your states laws.

Here is the video that records the moment that "Nationalized Health Care" made it to the 216 mark that solidified passage of the bill.

xtnyoda has an eerie feeling listening to the cheering in the House Of Representatives... by those that voted for the legislation... a feeling that they will all soon regret their decision... and that they are in fact cheering their demise this coming November.

The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

Did you know you can learn a lot from a dog? I know I have. There are things that my dog did that helped me learn some important lessons, things I really needed to know.

Take patience for example. When “Cody” wanted something, like her bed time treat, she would come and sit in front of me and just stare. She didn’t bark or throw a fit, she just sat there and looked at me. She did that because she knew I’m the one who has the treats. And, she knew that if she just sat there long enough I would give her what she wanted.

That reminds me of an incident in the Bible, Luke 10.
“The Lord and his disciples were traveling along and came to a village. When they got there, a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat down in front of the Lord and was listening to what he said. Martha was worried about all that had to be done. Finally, she went to Jesus and said, "Lord, doesn't it bother you that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to come and help me!" The Lord answered, "Martha, Martha! You are worried and upset about so many things, but only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen what is best, and it will not be taken away from her.”
(vs. 38-42 CEV)
Which part have you chosen? Are you so busy that you forget to just sit at the feet of Jesus? How often do you take the time to just be still and know that He is God?

Sunday, March 21st. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"God wants worshipers before workers; indeed the only acceptable workers are those who have learned the lost art of worship. . . . The very stones would praise him if the need arose and a thousand legions of angels would leap to do his will."
(A. W. Tozer, 1897–1963)

Often folks get so busy doing good things for God that they miss the best thing which is to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John4:23) We need to take time today to gather with other believers to worship and praise Him. We should remember the words of the writer of the book of Hebrews 10:25:
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

"God, Thank You for life and breath itself. I love You.
Amen."

The picture is of "Corky the Pig"... a piggy bank from the 50's. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, has some tough words for our nation's "piggy banks" that were "too big to fail."

Bloomberg news report
Bernanke Says Large Bank Bailouts ‘Unconscionable,’ Must End

By Steve Matthews and Phil Mattingly

March 21 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said government bailouts of big financial companies are “unconscionable” and must be ended as part of a regulatory overhaul following the worst financial crisis since the 1930s.

“It is unconscionable that the fate of the world economy should be so closely tied to the fortunes of a relatively small number of giant financial firms,” Bernanke said yesterday in a speech in Orlando, Florida. “If we achieve nothing else in the wake of the crisis, we must ensure that we never again face such a situation.” .....

Our government "bailed out" a number of "big" businesses... but not very many of the "little people" were bailed out... most have been "left-out to dry."

This is part of the reason for the skepticism toward our government right now... big business was bailed out from their poor business practices... and the rest of us?

I thought the left was all about the little man and against the power of big business?

Mr. Bernanke wants to scale down the protections of the big banks... maybe they will be a little more cautious... like Cordy... but I'm probably not going to hold my breath.

April 15th is celebrated as "Tax Day" in America.

For most Americans the day carries with it some level of dread. This year April also carries with it the National Census, which for some carries a level of dread... especially this year.

With all the social/political issues that the next thirty days hold... "Health Care Reform"... "Cap and Trade" legislation... "Stimulus" spending in a dreary economy... the "War on Terrorism"... to name a few issues... has me thinking about a former, yet perhaps similar time.

It was some 2,000 years ago and the ruler of the Western World had sent out a decree for a "world wide census" to be taken... along with the obligatory "tax" on all non-Roman citizens... in order to pay for the burgeoning entitlement programs for the lackluster citizens of Rome. It was not everybody's favorite endeavor... quite the contrary.

Yet... in the middle of the confusion, fear, and resentment... Yahweh was preparing a marvelous event... the advent of humanity's Messiah.

Few were aware of the majesty of the day... blinded by the tyranny of the moment.

I believe it is such with our day. Yahweh is moving in splendor and glory over the face of the entire earth... on behalf of the beleaguered human race.

Can you hear the angel's song... "The Whole Earth is Filled With His Glory."

One can almost hear The Master call... "Fear Not."
