Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.
“Back of the loaf is the snowy flour, And back of the flour the mill, And back of the mill is the wheat and the shower, And the sun and the Father’s will” (Maltbie D. Babcock 1858–1901).
We easily forget where our provisions come from when we have a refrigerator, a freezer, and cabinets full of food. In fact, too many times, we have such excess that we are bored with what we have.  As a result, many times we dump our excess into trash barrels.  How quickly that attitude has changed in Japan and in other parts of the world as tragedy has shaken their security.
We must remember to pray as Jesus taught His disciples (and us) in Matthew 6:9-13: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
God, give us this day our daily bread.Thank You for the daily provision You send to us. Amen.

Yahweh, Day 142

Day 142, Yahweh: The Nations... Nothingness and Emptiness

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth."
Isaiah 40:27-30 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
Here we have a reality check for the ... Nations.
"Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust ... All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are considered by Him as nothingness and emptiness."

Isaiah 40:15-17 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
Satan tried in vain to tempt Jesus (YahShua) with the "splendor" of the Nations.  How does one tempt the creator of the Universe ... with ... emptiness?
Have we ever considered much of the Nations?  Before Yahweh they are not even a shadow... for a shadow indicates there is at least an object to cast the shadow.  Nothingness casts ... nothing ... and emptiness contains ... nothing.
Everything and anything that exists ... does so only at the pleasure and for the purpose of Yahweh.
This is in The Name.
Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  Help us to see our worth and value in Your will and purpose … alone.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
