Day 33
Yahweh... Proclaiming... The Name... #3

Man… is no god.

Moses… by the sweat of his brow… chisels the slab tablets… climbs the mountain holding up these two rock tablets… in obedience indeed… yet the great contrast…

A mortal man holding the labor of his hands… then…

“The Lord came down in a cloud, stood with him there, and proclaimed His name Yahweh.”
Exodus 34:5 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

There is a great distinction that Moses understands at this moment… man… is no god.

This is a difficult truth for humans to grasp.

“For I am God and not man,
the Holy One among you…”
Hosea 11:9 (HCSB)

Sunday, January 31st. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A small boy was on the witness stand in an important lawsuit. The prosecuting attorney cross-examined him, then delivered, he thought, a crushing blow to the testimony. “Your father has been telling you how to testify, has he not?” “Yes,” the lad replied and did not hesitate with the answer. “Now,” said the lawyer triumphantly, “just tell us how your father told you to testify.”

“Well,” the boy said modestly, “Father told me the lawyers would try to tangle me in my testimony, but if I would just be careful to tell the truth, I could repeat the same thing every time.”

This is such a good example to us it needs no additional comment. Leviticus 19:11 even lumps it into the same category as stealing with these words,
“Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.”

"God, guard our heart to speak and share the truth.
Amen."

Speak the truth always.

Sobering was the video of the roll-call in Fort Hood, Texas, as the murdered service men and women names were called out... with the deafening silence the only response...

Now... there is another solemn roll-call being issued... and the response... a deafening silence... it is the roll-call to some 20-30 million aborted American citizens who would today be a part of the working force of this nation.

The ramifications are enormous... and the Borg Conspiracy is speaking to the economic reality of this dread decision in 1973... called "Abortion on Demand."

We as a nation are now facing the consequences just one brief generation later....

The Borg Conspiracy
.... Prior to WWII, there was the greatest generation. After WWII, there were the Baby Boomers. We had it all. From rock and roll and Elvis to birth control and the Rolling Stones. And now? There are ipods and ipads and cell phones and Blackberrys and big screen plasmas and you name it.

The only problem is, that as our nation's expenditures and debts have grown? Our population has continued to decline. Along with our jobs and manufacturing capability and our leadership stature in the world. Which means that our ability to pay for it has been slowing waning away.

And now? There is no new baby boomer generation to take up the slack, much less to maintain any equilibrium. We saw to that with Roe vs. Wade. There are an endless myriad of arguments pro and con concerning abortion in America, but one argument that you never hear made, is the effect on the nation that abortion has had. The affect to our work force, the affect to our heritage, the affect to our production capabilities and so on. And yes, the affect on social security.

Who will be paying for these programs like social security that we as a group (baby boomers) have paid into all our life. Who pays our benefits after everything that we ever contributed to has been squandered and wasted. There is nothing left for us now and there is nothing in the pipe behind us, since we saw fit to allow the killing of twenty million people. Those people would for the most part be contributing citizens today. Working and paying taxes and contributing to social security and expanding our economic base. But they aren't. They were never born. More specifically? They were killed off.

Perhaps in a perfect world their potential contributions would have been the present reality. But we gave up on our aspirations to live in a better world of peace and prosperity of life long ago. We as a nation opted to chase after Nirvana and the promises of a very real yet purposely obscured socialist agenda....

... consequences that will be felt for generations to come...

Consider and ponder.

Day 32
Yahweh... Proclaiming... The Name... #2

... Humanity attempting to do what The One has done...
"Moses cut two stone tablets like the first ones."
Exodus 34:4

A counter-position is being presented here by our Master.

First, Yahweh cut... man shattered.

Next, Yahweh commands the man to cut and Moses cuts two tablets "like" the first... and make no mistake... there is an eternal difference between the original and those "like" the original... for the labor of man's hands can never compare to that breathed by The One...

so... Yahweh comes on a cloud... to proclaim...

The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

This week I heard an interesting oxymoron, “Selective Lordship”.

If I get to decide which parts of my life I'm going to let Jesus have His way in, can I really say He’s Lord? The word Lord, is all about who is the controller; who calls the shots. If I'm deciding that there are certain parts of me Jesus can't have, then who's really in control?

In Luke 6:46 Jesus asked a haunting question. He said, “Why do you keep on saying that I am your Lord, when you refuse to do what I say?” (CEV) Wow, I’ll bet that was embarrassing! If you and Jesus had a one-on-one conversation He might very well ask you that question.

What areas of your life is He still locked out of?

Could it be that you have some bitterness that He wants you to let go? Or maybe it’s your temper that stubbornly defies His control. Maybe there's a relationship you won't let him touch. Maybe your "dark side" is a sinful habit that you won't let Jesus get you out of. Maybe it’s the lust that continues to poison your heart with images and fantasies that thumb their nose at God's holiness.

Pride is a sin that many Christian ignore. But God hates it. Pride of position, pride of accomplishment, pride of appearance, pride of ability; they're all deep darkness that desperately needs the light of Jesus to shine on them.

Are you really letting Him be the Lord of your life?

Saturday, January 30th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

With a shining quarter, a tiny little boy went into a candy store. With the utmost seriousness, studying each assortment with deep thoughtfulness, he wandered from case to case. Tired of waiting, his mother called, “Hurry, son, spend your quarter. We must be going.” The child replied, “But Mama, I have got to spend it carefully; I only have one.”

Remember when a quarter to spend would take a while to think through the choices?

Today the choices are harder to find since most things cost more than a quarter. It really doesn’t matter what you have, it is how we demonstrate our stewardship that matters.

Remember the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25:15-29 so we may hear the words of the master saying,
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (v 21)
"God, take today what I have and help me to use it wisely.
Amen."

Seek His wisdom daily.

Day 31
Yahweh... Proclaiming... The Name... #1

... Humanity Falling Further...

In a sudden and inconceivable act of rage Moses shatters the tablets that had been prepared by Yahweh at the first...

Think about this for a moment. Does one hear a sound of... regret on the part of Yahweh...
The Lord said to Moses, "Cut two stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke."
Exodus 34:1 (HCSB)

... and recalling the dread event itself...
"Moses became enraged and threw the tablets out of his hands, smashing them at the base of the mountain."
Exodus 32:19 (HCSB)

The work by the hand... of Yahweh... unfathomably precious... shattered...

Could you not grieve with me for just one moment here?

Yahweh's personally crafted jewel... graven on each side with a holy lazier of love and redemptive purpose... shattered...

... by both the sin... and the wrath... of man....

.... then... Yahweh says to the man... "Now... you carve the stone..."

Now we understand a little fuller the meaning of James 1:20,
"... Man's anger does not accomplish God's righteousness."

Progressive pundits try to cover the dismal failure of "progressive talk radio" by first of all shooting and abandoning their wounded... as demonstrated in the following.... defense....

The Bill Press Show
AIR AMERICA DIES; PROGRESSIVE TALK RADIO LIVES ON

By Bill Press for The Huffington Post

After years of keeping it alive on life-support, investors have finally pulled the plug on Air America. What difference will that make on progressive talk radio nationwide? Zero.....

.....the surprise is not that Air America died. The surprise is what took it so long. For the last few years, Air America has existed in name only. Which is why, in the thriving and expanding world of progressive talk radio, the absence of Air America will hardly be noticed.

Most of today’s nationally-syndicated, progressive talk show hosts – Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, and yours truly – have never been, or are no longer, Air America hosts. Our programs will carry on, without interruption or change. And, in every market where we are heard on the air, we will continue to match or beat our conservative competition in both ratings and revenue.

So, no matter what conservative talk show hosts may claim, fear not. The demise of Air America does not mean there is anything wrong with progressive talk radio today.

Air America, the company, may be dead. But progressive radio, the new force in talk radio, lives on – louder and stronger than ever.

Bill highlights as vivid examples of the ongoing power and life in "progressive radio" by listing the following radio progressives..... Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes... and himself of course...

.... and the only thing I can fathom to say to Bill's list of examples of the power of "progressive" radio personalities is....

"Who?"

Humpty Dumpty has fallen off the wall... and the delicious irony is that progressives are in such a state of shock that they don't even know they are shattered... all they understand right now is the pain.

The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

Have you ever made a really bad decision and thought, “Man, I haven’t got a prayer!” Well, actually that’s when you do have a prayer. . . and it’s our verse for today, Luke 8:13. This is the story about a man that thought exactly that, ‘I haven’t got a prayer’.

This guy was a scumbag; even his friends didn’t trust him. Nobody liked this guy. . . Well, nobody except one – that one was Jesus. Jesus told his story this way.
Two men went up to the Temple to pray, one was a Pharisee (a very religious guy), the other man was a tax collector (who cheated everybody). The Pharisee prayed like this: "Oh, God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, crooks, adulterers, or, heaven forbid, like this tax man. I’m really a good person." Meanwhile the tax man, hiding in the shadows, not even daring to look up, said, "God, have mercy. Forgive me, I’m a sinner." Jesus said, "The tax man, went away right with God."

You may feel like you haven’t got a prayer, but you do. Even your family may have given up on you, but God hasn’t.

Do you remember the story of the crucifixion of Jesus? Remember the criminal hanging beside him on another cross – in his last moments on earth he turned to Jesus and asked for help. And do you know where that guy is today? He’s in heaven. The Bible says so.

Forgiveness, that’s what you need, and that’s what Jesus gives.

Friday, January 22nd. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

When Sir Matthew Hale dismissed a jury because he was convinced that it had been illegally chosen to favor the defense attorney, the latter was highly displeased with him. As a result, when Sir Matthew returned from the circuit, Cromwell told him in anger that he was not fit to be a judge, to which Sir Hale simply answered, “That's very true.”

I can think of many folks for which I am blessed at their not acting as judge and jury against me. Praise God! For He has dismissed the jury, the prosecutor, and the defense, yet He is the righteous judge. The apostle Paul says,
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”
(1Chorinthians 4:5)

It is with the greatest of delight that I share this breaking news story!

Air America is DEAD

Air America
Breaking: Air America Ceases Live Programming, Will File for Bankruptcy

It is with the greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, and that the Company will file soon under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of the business.

The very difficult economic environment has had a significant impact on Air America’s business. This past year has seen a “perfect storm” in the media industry generally. National and local advertising revenues have fallen drastically, causing many media companies nationwide to fold or seek bankruptcy protection. From large to small, recent bankruptcies like Citadel Broadcasting and closures like that of the industry’s long-time trade publication Radio and Records have signaled that these are very difficult and rapidly changing times.....

If you would like a really good look at a "progressive" group blame everything in the world on their demise... except what caused their demise... go read the entire article... it is their article.

They were the MSM's pitiful attempt to counter the conservative radio giants that are exposing the failed attempts of progressives to make this nation one more fallen soldier of freedom... yet... the soldier stands.

And why does this soldier of freedom yet stand? The answer is simple...

You.

Thank you for your courage to stand in the face of adversity and betrayal.

Thank you for raising the standard of liberty in the face of castigation and contempt.

Thank you for lifting your head... when all around you shouted shame.

Thank you.

Hugo is a certified nut case... I was waiting for the US to get blamed for the earthquake in Haiti... not just blamed for whatever the MSM will deem is lacking in the miserable job of cleaning up... but blamed for the quake actually happening...

Real Clear Politics
Russia Today: Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez has once again accused the United States of playing God.

But this time it's Haiti's disastrous earthquake that he thinks the U.S. was behind. Spanish newspaper ABC quotes Chavez as saying that the U.S. navy launched a weapon capable of inducing a powerful earthquake off the shore of Haiti. He adds that this time it was only a drill and the final target is ... destroying and taking over Iran.

Honestly... I thought it would somehow be linked to "Global Warming"... and I did catch a few leanings in that direction... but this one is priceless... so we blew up an ultra, top secret, tectonic bomb... to test it out on the poor Haitians... getting ready to wreak destruction on his good trading partner... Iran.

Thanks Hugo... I needed this laugh today.

Incidentally... I love the "knowing" nods of those who have to listen to your diatribe in the video... it is a very knowing nod on their parts I recognize... they are saying with those nods... "Yup... this man in a lunatic!"

Just thought you would like an accurate interpretation of what your "doting" admirers are really thinking about you.

Thursday, January 21st. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"When Queen Victoria first came to the throne, many of the court officials came to wish her well. Among the number was an old man who was a little lame, and in his excitement, he partly stumbled up the steps. The queen sprang forward and helped him; she forgot for a moment that she was Queen, and only thought how youth might help old age. We must follow this example and prove ourselves always ready to do a service for the old and infirm."

In long-ago history, Jesus, too, set aside who He was, and seeing our lame condition, He took on the form of a man, came to earth, led a sinless life, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose again on the third day, and having completed His work here, returned to the Father. (Philippians 2:6-8)

"God, let me exercise the same mind daily.
Amen."

Gratifyingly... even TIME Magazine Online is amazed at the lack of honest questioning and discerning the cause of the Fort Hood terrorist tragedy.

TIME online
The Fort Hood Report: Why No Mention of Islam?
By Mark Thompson / Washington Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010

The U.S. military's just-released report into the Fort Hood shootings spends 86 pages detailing various slipups by Army officers but not once mentions Major Nidal Hasan by name or even discusses whether the killings may have had anything to do with the suspect's view of his Muslim faith. And as Congress opens two days of hearings on Wednesday into the Pentagon probe of the Nov. 5 attack that left 13 dead, lawmakers want explanations for that omission.

John Lehman, a member of the 9/11 commission and Navy Secretary during the Reagan Administration, says a reluctance to cause offense by citing Hasan's view of his Muslim faith and the U.S. military's activities in Muslim countries as a possible trigger for his alleged rampage reflects a problem that has gotten worse in the 40 years that Lehman has spent in and around the U.S. military. The Pentagon report's silence on Islamic extremism "shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become," he told TIME on Tuesday. "It's definitely getting worse, and is now so ingrained that people no longer smirk when it happens."...

Now... we can cry foul from the top of our PC lungs about some scribed Bible references on some military sighting mechanisms... but to actually name a radical, terrorist, traitor as having been possibly motivated by radical Islam is just not appropriate these days according to our military authorities.

There needs to be some serious house cleaning in the military... and it should begin in the house that is at the top of the military chain of command.

Mr. CIC... you could speak up... and tell those who are afraid to do the same to... shut up... then go find someone who will take the bull by the horns.... for the sake of this nation and her slaughtered warriors... and their families.

Day 30
Yahweh... revealing... Sovereignty

... The Right of Choice...
Exodus 33:19
"...I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Here we have the scriptural introduction and first use of the compassion of Yahweh... and Yahweh insists that we understand first that Yahweh alone is Master of His compassion... and Master of who shall receive His compassion... and He shall not stand in putrid human judgment on this.

Yet... Yahweh desires us to know that there is an offer issued from Glory for humanity...

Isaiah 55:7
"Let the wicked one abandon his way, and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive." (HCSB)

Have you yet received the Sovereign Compassion of The Eternal One... and humbly yet ecstatically basked in the glow and glory of His acceptance and love?

If... your answer is... no... you have not yet lived... and know nothing of life.

Yahweh has declared that He will show compassion to who He pleases... when He pleases...

.... and if you will but cry out... Yahweh has declared that He will be pleased to shower you... with blood.

One of the men answered, “Yeah, but he ain’t much of a player. Whenever he gets a good hand he wags his tail.”

Folks when we have been with in fellowship with the Heavenly Father we should have the same problem. The world ought to see an excitement that we are not able to contain. The writer of Psalm 145:2 says this,
“Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.”
Now try that and see if anyone notices.

Epic win for Scott Brown... Richter scale 10 seismic loss for progressive socialists.... America speaks....

And... this administration... better be listening...

FOX News report
Brown Beats Coakley in Massachusetts Senate Race

In a victory few thought possible just a month ago, Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley Tuesday in the race for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy -- a win that could grind President Obama's agenda to a halt and portend huge losses for Democrats in the November midterms.

With 97 percent of precincts reporting, returns show Brown leading Coakley 52-47 percent, by a margin of 120,000 votes. Independent candidate Joseph Kennedy was pulling 1 percent.

The victory marks a stunning upset in a race thought to be safe for Democrats until Brown's campaign began to surge just weeks ago. And it has powerful ramifications for Obama's agenda.

The GOP state senator, once sworn in, will break the Democrats' 60-vote, filibuster-proof majority in Washington.....

This current administration is the best thing that has happened to America in eighty (80) years... and I'm NOT confused.

This is exactly what conservative America has needed... it is called a Great Awakening... and Great Awakenings only come when there is a NEED for one... and we have NEEDED this Third Great Awakening for over 100 years.

Oh... I know... when one is in the middle of a Great Awakening it feels like war... because that is exactly what it is... a great spiritual war.

The tide has turned and there is MUCH more to come... this is simply near the beginning of the great turnaround to the Church shaking herself and claiming her rightful standing as free people... freed by the Blood of the Lamb... and slaves to no man... or government... or... ultimately... financial lender.

Rise up Oh Church... claim your freedom... win your freedom... shake off the shackles of debilitating debt... for the sake of Yahweh and His great Name.

I have seen it.

God... Bless America.

"It may happen that some people are too tired to smile, so give them one of yours."

The joy of the rescue workers in Haiti can be seen in the smiles on their faces. When they have snatched victims from the jaws of death amid the rubble, even the tired, hungry, thirsty, and otherwise worn out survivors force smiles of gratitude.May we give thanks and gratitude to God for His salvation to us. Juan Williams is getting out some great news today... that the MSM is trying like the devil to ignore!
Race relations are getting better according to the latest Pew Research Center polling results... a great tribute on this MLK day... yet sadly ignored.

Daily Caller
Media Ignores Good News About Race
By Juan Williams 01/18/10 at 5:47 pm

An astonishing poll has signaled a new era in American race relations. It appeared just last week but if you read The New York Times or Washington Post you wouldn’t know about it because there was little or no coverage.

As the nation celebrates Martin Luther King’s birthday today the absence of coverage says a lot about people who don’t want things to change when it comes to the old us-versus-them racial politics.....
Now... why would this great news be put on the back burner by the powers-that-be?

Could it be that there are actually parties in this country that make their living from class conflict and struggle?

Consider and ponder.

I never appreciate it when a politician can actually shock me with self ingratiating hubris that transcends anything I've ever imagined... yet... Coakley did it today.

Yahoo report
"I'm running for the United States Senate because Dr. King's work is unfinished, his dream is unrealized," Coakley told the Hynes Convention Center audience of largely African-American Boston dignitaries, who offered only polite applause for her and for the state’s first black governor, Deval Patrick.

"Tomorrow we act on the dream and we make sure that we allow me to continue that work," Coakley said. "We remember the dream tomorrow and we will act on the dream tomorrow."

Simply unbelievable that this person would have the audacity to make this claim...

I am stunned.

Look into that man's eyes above Ms. Coakley... you've no earthly idea the trial and price he paid... no idea.

Day 29
Yahweh... revealing... Grace

... The Place of Grace...
Exodus 33: 18-19
"...I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious..."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

The first to find this place of grace was Noah in Genesis 6:8... then the flood.

The last to find grace in the Old Testament... the last to stand in this place of power?

It would be you my friend.

Zechariah 12:10
"Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at Me whom they pierced."

Have you yet found the way to the Place of Grace... the place of grace mingled with grief and supplication that rises to the Throne... as an oblation offered in desperation... to see the glory of Yahweh revealed... as observed on Calvary.

And... felt the weight of it.

This is why:
"Moses would return to the camp, but his assistant, the young man Joshua son of Nun, would not leave the inside of the tent."
Exodus 33:11 (HCSB)

Joshua here being representative of our Savior, YahShua/Jesus... who inside the tent of God's Presence... could not leave... but relished the Presence of Yahweh.

And dear one... today... this is your place.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “The sentence which has most influenced my life is ‘Some persons grumble because God placed thorns among roses.' Why not thank God because He placed roses among thorns?"

God does not remove all the challenges and temptations, but He will carry us through the trials. The writer of 1 Corinthians 10:13 puts it this way:
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

"God, Thank You for the beauty You give us daily even in the middle of all of our trials.

Republican Scott Brown to file criminal complaint against Massachusetts Democratic Party over flier

Scott Brown, the Republican candidate for the Massachusetts Senate seat up for election on Tuesday, is filing a criminal complaint against the Massachusetts Democratic Party over a flier claiming he’s against giving emergency contraception to rape victims.

The flier reportedly says “1,736 women were raped in Massachusetts in 2008. Scott Brown wants hospitals to turn them all away,” according to Greg Sargent’s blog.

Dan Winslow, counsel for the Scott Brown for U.S. Senate campaign, held a media availability at 4 p.m. Saturday to announce the criminal complaint resulting from a recent mailing paid for and sent by the Massachusetts Democratic Party, according to a press release sent out by the campaign.....

So now... the tax payers of America are paying for the president to travel and campaign for an openly corrupt campaign in Massachusetts... not to mention that the president is campaigning for an openly corrupt campaign to begin with...

We cannot keep Satan from tempting us with evil suggestions, but we can keep from responding to them. Notice what the writer of Hebrews 4:15-16 says,
“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Very few Americans currently realize the swelling crisis around the authority of the local county sheriff. The reality is that the county sheriff is the only ELECTED law enforcement official in our land today.

This means that our sheriffs are answerable to the people... not a judge... or a politician... or a city council... or a mayor... but he answers to the people that elect him... the electorate alone.

Reality is... the elected sheriffs in our nation's counties are the highest law enforcement officers in the land.

Yahoo News report
Thousands protest sheriff's immigration efforts

PHOENIX – Thousands of immigrant rights advocates marched in front of a county jail in Phoenix Saturday in a protest that was aimed at Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration efforts and was marked by a clash between a small group of protesters and police officers.

Organizers say the protest was meant to show officials in Washington that Arpaio shouldn't handle immigration enforcement, and that Congress and the Obama administration need to come up with a way for immigrant workers to come to the country legally....

.... Ten months ago, Arpaio learned he was under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department for alleged discrimination and unconstitutional searches. He says the investigation was prompted by his immigration efforts, although federal authorities haven't provided details.

Since early 2008, Arpaio has run 13 immigration and crimes sweeps involving officers who flood a section of a city — in some cases heavily Latino areas — to seek out traffic violators and arrest other violators.

Arpaio's power to make federal immigration arrests was stripped away three months ago by officials in Washington, but he continues his immigration efforts through the enforcement of two state laws.

A federal grand jury also is investigating Arpaio and his office on allegations of abusing his powers.

Now... just why would our federal officials and the federal justice department be trying to shut down this sheriff's efforts to deal with illegal immigrants?

Consider and ponder.

Nothing personal... but... are American tax payers going to be paying for the president's trip to Massachusetts... to take part in a political campaign?

politico story
Obama to Mass., but die may be cast... Pollsters are skeptical that President Obama’s Boston rally will be enough to put Coakley over the top.

With the political winds at the back of Republican Scott Brown, pollsters tracking the Massachusetts Senate race are skeptical that President Obama’s Boston rally on Sunday will be enough to put Democrat Martha Coakley over the top.

Her supporters are holding on to the hope that Obama’s appearance, along with the wave of reports about Brown’s surging poll numbers, will inspire Democrats who’ve been cool to Coakley and the race until now to turn out at the polls to back her....
Is this what we pay and elect presidents to do?

Just asking?

The official review finds that the Army is unprepared to deal with internal threats?

Perhaps if they would shake themselves lose from the PC mess they could deal with it... like taking serious soldiers who are in contact with radicals over the internet!

Houston Chronicle
Fort Hood review finds Army unprepared
Pentagon: Military is unable to stop internal threats; warning signs of suspect ignored

WASHINGTON — A Pentagon review of the Nov. 5 shooting rampage at Fort Hood has concluded that the military remains unprepared to stop internal security threats at its U.S. installations, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Friday.

Gates said the independent review found that the Pentagon, like other federal departments and agencies, remains rooted in Cold War thinking designed to stop state-sponsored threats, not terrorism, and that the Fort Hood gunman's supervisors failed to act on disturbing behavioral signs before the tragedy occurred.

“We have not done enough to adapt to the evolving domestic internal security threat to American troops and military facilities that has emerged over the past decade,” Gates said at a Pentagon news conference.....

.... An FBI terrorism task force discovered e-mails that Hasan had exchanged with a radical Yemeni cleric, but the contact raised no red flags because it was considered consistent with Hasan's research. FBI Director Robert Mueller has ordered a review about how the agency handled the information.

Ought to be able to connect dots that are being shoved right in one's face.

Here we have the answer to the tragedy in Haiti... Copenhagen was a dismal failure and Mother Earth is ticked off... and She is shaking things up to demonstrate Her disapproval!

Just in case you have trouble understanding this devoted actor and movie producer I've added his words in type for you below.
"What happened in Haiti could happen to anywhere in the Caribbean because all these island nations are in peril because of global warming."

"When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I'm saying? We have to act now!"

Of course this only mitigates the damage done by Pat Roberson's righteous rant about Haiti forming a league with the Devil... what... 200 years ago... so God is going to kill a bunch of folks today for what was done 200 years ago? Want Pat's exact quotes? Here they are...
“Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it," he said. "They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon the third, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, ‘we will serve you if you will get us free from the French.’

“True story. And so, the devil said, ‘OK, it's a deal.’"

Of course he was quick to blame Katrina on the immorality in the US... etc, etc, etc...

Rubbish... and a discredit to Yahweh.... now global warming... that's another issue because with that man has said we can control our world... and Yahweh will respond to that boast... but to see every natural disaster as the consequence of man's errors and sins... even those committed generations ago... and the punishment being bore down generations/centuries later... that even denies the promises of God in Ezekiel 18:20,
"The person who sins is the one who will die. A son won't suffer punishment for the father's iniquity, and a father won't suffer punishment for the son's iniquity."

Pat Robertson's comments are rubbish scripturally.

Danny Glover's comments are just... hilarious and superstitious... much like the voodoo devotees that do live in Haiti.

Saturday, January 16th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“It is a great deal better to live a holy life than to talk about it. We are told to let our light shine, and if it does we won’t need to tell anybody it does. The light will be its own witness. Lighthouses don’t ring bells and fire cannon to call attention to their shining—they just shine.”
(D. L. Moody)

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
I think that best puts it into perspective also because all we are we owe to God and to His working in us, and all we do is to point the world to The Heavenly Father, and not to ourselves.

"God, Thanks for dwelling with and in me.
Amen."

God is awesome!

This latest discovery in Palestine is thrilling... on several levels...

On one level... it's always thrilling to have the veracity of our sacred text substantiated by archeological discovery... which this find certainly moves the dating of the written Hebrew back four hundred years from what was previously thought in academia...

... However... much more gratifying and thrilling to me is the actual content of the discovered message... sent to us by Yahweh from 3,000 years ago... knowing that we would discover it today... for this day's sup from the well of living waters...

Life Science News
Bible Possibly Written Centuries Earlier, Text Suggests

Clara Moskowitz

Scientists have discovered the earliest known Hebrew writing - an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign.

The breakthrough could mean that portions of the Bible were written centuries earlier than previously thought. (The Bible's Old Testament is thought to have been first written down in an ancient form of Hebrew.)

Until now, many scholars have held that the Hebrew Bible originated in the 6th century B.C., because Hebrew writing was thought to stretch back no further. But the newly deciphered Hebrew text is about four centuries older, scientists announced this month.

"It indicates that the Kingdom of Israel already existed in the 10th century BCE and that at least some of the biblical texts were written hundreds of years before the dates presented in current research," said Gershon Galil, a professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Haifa in Israel, who deciphered the ancient text.

BCE stands for "before common era," and is equivalent to B.C., or before Christ.

The writing was discovered more than a year ago on a pottery shard dug up during excavations at Khirbet Qeiyafa, near Israel's Elah valley. The excavations were carried out by archaeologist Yosef Garfinkel of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. At first, scientists could not tell if the writing was Hebrew or some other local language.

Finally, Galil was able to decipher the text. He identified words particular to the Hebrew language and content specific to Hebrew culture to prove that the writing was, in fact, Hebrew.

"It uses verbs that were characteristic of Hebrew, such as asah ('did') and avad ('worked'), which were rarely used in other regional languages," Galil said. "Particular words that appear in the text, such as almanah ('widow') are specific to Hebrew and are written differently in other local languages."

The ancient text is written in ink on a trapezoid-shaped piece of pottery about 6 inches by 6.5 inches (15 cm by 16.5 cm). It appears to be a social statement about how people should treat slaves, widows and orphans. In English, it reads (by numbered line):
1' you shall not do [it], but worship the [Lord].
2' Judge the sla[ve] and the wid[ow] / Judge the orph[an]
3' [and] the stranger. [Pl]ead for the infant / plead for the po[or and]
4' the widow. Rehabilitate [the poor] at the hands of the king.
5' Protect the po[or and] the slave / [supp]ort the stranger.
The content, which has some missing letters, is similar to some Biblical scriptures, such as Isaiah 1:17, Psalms 72:3, and Exodus 23:3, but does not appear to be copied from any Biblical text.
Joy.

Yahweh... here revealing to modernity that sacred character which is a massive, driving part of His character... Justice.

When most think of God's Justice... the tendency is to think of God's judgment against sin... God's lashing out in righteous judicial punishment against iniquity...

What so few understand nor comprehend of Yahweh's Justice... is that it is a passion for "the least of these"... the ones so easy to overlook... the ones so easy to... use.

I find it past glorious that this find would be words spoken to emphasize the foundational quality of The Great One... which He requires of each one... of us... penned at the hand of one least suspecting that Yahweh designed that we would find this sobering reminder... 3 millennia hence...

Consider and ponder.

Yahweh... your wisdom and plan... immutable.
Your vision... eternal.
Your design... marvelous.
Your Justice... solemn.

Day 28
Yahweh... revealing... Glory

... and the wondrous danger we behold.
Exodus 33: 18-19
Then Moses said, "Please, let me see Your glory." 19 He said, "I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Moses... audaciously, yet humbly asks... for one brief moment... to see Him.

The One Who Is... Was... and Will Be... the Eternal One... All Power... All Authority... All Knowing...

... The Holy One... separate from any and all imperfection... yet mortal man... fallen... separate from the Eternal... dare ask for a glimpse... of The One.

Moses... survived.

Yahweh... is Good.

Friday, January 15th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A little boy was seen one day lounging around a circus tent. If there is anything in the world tempting to a boy, it is a circus. Knowing this, a gentleman said: “Come, Johnny, let’s go into the circus.” “No,” said the boy. “Father would not like it.” “But your father need not know it,” said the man. “But I will know it,” said the boy, “and when father comes home tonight, I could not look up into his face.”

Ah, how important! Able to look into our Father’s face! He has been very good to us. No good thing has He withheld from us, and yet so many times we find ourselves unable to look into His face. May God help us live so close to Him, so pure and so holy, that all the time we can be able to look into His face.

Let us remember the words of 1 Peter 1:13-19:
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

"God, Let our desire always to be able to look on Your face.
Amen"

Be the man or woman God wants you to be.

The United States of America taking charge in earthquake ravaged Haiti...

Thank God for the USA.

Yahoo News story
US takes charge in Haiti — with troops, rescue aid

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama and the U.S. moved to take charge in earthquake-ravaged Haiti on Thursday, dispatching thousands of troops along with tons of aid to try to keep order as well as rescue the suffering in a country dysfunctional in the best of times.

Tested by the first large-scale humanitarian disaster of his presidency, Obama ordered a relief effort of historic proportions despite the strains it was sure to put on both the stretched U.S. budget and military forces fighting two wars. He pledged an initial $100 million — with the likelihood of more later.

"The United States is providing a lot of the glue that is keeping people communicating and working together as we try to assert authority, reinstate the government and begin to do what governments have to do to rebuild," Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said on Fox News Channel.....

God... help the desperate people through the hands of our compassion and resources.

God Bless America.

The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again.

By now we have all heard about the terrible earth quake in Haiti. The number of lives lost is yet unknown, but may be hundreds of thousands. It is at times like these that we wonder why? Why does God allow catastrophes like these?

Sometimes we may start to think maybe that place, or those people, were worse sinners. Maybe God wanted to judge them for their wickedness. But the Bible says God is not willing that any should perish, that is to die without Christ. The Bible says God does not want the wicked to die in their sins.

Read Luke 13:1-5 again and get a better perspective on the situation. In that passage Jesus taught that we should be considering our own spiritual situation; to make sure that we’re right with God. These events should remind us to thank God for His grace in our lives - and cause us to do all we can to extend a helping hand to those who are in such desperate need.

Most of all we can pray. Pray that God’s presence will be felt by those who are suffering. Pray for those who are responding in search, rescue and recovery operations. Pray for the Christians in Haiti that God would use them to minister to their neighbors. And you can pray for the Chaplain as I consider responding to that situation.

Amen Chaplain... Amen.

The National Rifle Association has issued an official position statement on the recent move by the white house granting immunity to INTERPOL.

We certainly want to be alert to any infringement on second amendment rights... we also don't want to be led to over reaction by misinformation... so here is the NRA's take on the issue.

They should know.

IRA statement on INTERPOL immunities

INTERPOL Rumors

Friday, January 08, 2010

Over the past year, we have reported several times on the abundance of rumors being circulated regarding firearm issues. Among other things, we've heard phony tales circulating about such things as guns being banned for the elderly, ammunition with expiration dates, a requirement that guns be listed on tax returns, and a prohibition on gun and ammunition imports. The latest scuttlebutt has to do with a recent Executive Order by President Obama concerning the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

Some have argued that the order would make INTERPOL and its officials immune from civil suit or criminal prosecution, and that it would therefore allow INTERPOL personnel to seize firearms, kidnap Americans, and otherwise violate U.S. citizens' rights. Our legal staff has reviewed this order and does not believe it poses any of these threats.

President Obama's order amends a 1983 order by President Reagan, in which the U.S. recognized INTERPOL as an international organization that is entitled to certain legal immunities under the International Organizations Immunities Act (IOIA).

One of those immunities is immunity from civil lawsuits. Under the doctrine of "sovereign immunity," foreign governments generally can't be sued, and the IOIA extended that protection to international organizations. This has been applied to block suits against the United Nations, Organization of American States, and other international bodies.

This means that articles on the recent order are incorrect in claiming that the order made INTERPOL immune from civil suits; INTERPOL was already immune.

Some have also suggested that under the order, INTERPOL agents would receive diplomatic immunity, so they could violate Americans' rights without fear of criminal prosecution. There are several misconceptions here.

First, diplomatic immunity only protects diplomats, and the IOIA specifically says it does not confer diplomatic immunity on international organization employees.

Second, while the IOIA does provide a limited type of immunity for international organization employees, this is only immunity "relating to acts performed by them in their official capacity." U.S. courts have interpreted this narrowly. In one case, a court found that a U.N. employee was not immune to a local speeding ticket even though he was actually driving the Secretary General of the U.N. to an official conference. In other cases, courts have found that employees of international organizations can be prosecuted for espionage, because espionage is not among their official duties.

Law enforcement officers working with INTERPOL are detailed from agencies in various countries, such as the FBI or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They have no power of arrest outside their own countries. Therefore, a seizure of an American (or of an Americans' firearms) would likely not fall within the official duties for which INTERPOL officials would be immune from prosecution.
Now don't take any of this to mean that we underestimate our anti-gun opponents, or that we don't believe they would happily and readily seize the opportunity to adopt and enforce measures that would limit our freedom. We know full well that they would. Rather, our message is this: Rumors abound, so don't believe everything you read. If it's a legitimate concern, rest assured your NRA-ILA will promptly address it and will give you the straight story.

This should be good news... for now.

Do you think that there might be a relationship between the decrease in violent crime and the increase in private weapon carry permits being gained?

Examiner
Number of Arkansas concealed handgun permits up 48%, murder rate down

2009 FBI Crime Data - Unemployment is high, the economy is down. Yet for all the signs of recession, something is missing: More crime.

A preliminary FBI report released Monday states violent crime is down 4.4 percent and homicides are 10 percent lower over the first half of 2009, national rates which have not been seen since the 1960’s. Every recession since the 1950’s has been accompanied with a strong rise in crime, but this past year has bucked the trend. The Associated Press, in a news article reporting the new data, attempted to tie this good news to many different factors but was unable to show any valid reasons for the steep decline. A quick review of a few Arkansas State Police numbers will give an understanding of the reason for the crime rate drop.

In February, 2009, the number of Arkansas Concealed Handgun License holders stood at approximately 56,000. On December 22, eleven months later, the Arkansas State Police has the total number of CHL holders at 80,140, a very impressive increase of greater than 48 percent. Using 2008 U.S. Census data, this means four percent of the adult population in Arkansas is licensed to carry a firearm concealed and could be armed at any given time. When this data is coupled with the fact the national crime rate has dropped 46 percent since 1991 (the first year concealed carry was legalized in the U.S.), it becomes clear criminals fear armed, law-abiding citizens. While the national press attempts to credit policies such as “smart policing” for holding down the murder rate, pure statistics suggest arming the citizenry is having a strong affect. The media almost gets it correct when they suggest more people are at home during the day due to more unemployment, but the answer may be more Arkansans are arming themselves at home.

Gun owners in this state are discovering their natural rights and are exercising them at a rapidly growing rate. Obviously, the crime rate will continue to decline in comparison.

It is like the president said... we need to learn how to connect the dots.

That same advise works extremely well with certain pistol sight alignments also.

Found a good article that helps explain the FRAUD factor in the cap-and-trade, carbon trading scheme that is trying to be shoved down America's throat... and the rest of the world for that matter.

National Post
The next big scam: carbon dioxide... Attempts to create markets for tradeable CO2 are shaping up to be the next Oil-for-Food-sized fraud

By Patricia Adams

Deloitte Forensic calls it “the white collar crime of the future.” Kroll, a business risk subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan, the global professional services firm, calls it “a fraudster’s dream come true.”

These two global financial services firms are referring to carbon trading markets, a business that is estimated to explode from $132-billion in 2009, mostly in the European Union, to $3-trillion by 2020 as jurisdictions around the world join in carbon trading, part of the “cap and trade” system that governments are embracing.

Under cap and trade, companies need permits for the right to emit CO2 as part of their operations. The permits, in effect, guarantee that excess carbon emissions will be “offset” by third parties that will, for example, sequester carbon by growing trees. These permits, which are being traded on carbon exchanges, akin to stock exchanges, have caught the attention of law enforcement officers, who have seen an upsurge in fraud.... So much fraud has been occurring that, Europol estimates, up to 90% of all carbon market volume in some EU nations was related to fraudulent activities.

Permits for CO2, a tasteless, colourless and odourless gas, epitomize an “intangible commodity.” ..... unlike oil and other commonly traded commodities, CO2 is a commodity with no inherent value. Most transactions involving carbon permits involve parties that have no interest in the CO2 — the value lies in the permit. If no CO2 is actually offset, neither buyer nor seller would suffer a loss. The only incentive anyone has in dealing with this intangible commodity is in avoiding fines or suffering bad PR.

What kind of fraud do private auditors and law enforcement alike believe inevitable? Take the example of an Indonesian forest operator who provides a permit to a German manufacturer, to offset the German company’s excess CO2 emissions. The German company receives a certificate as proof that it has offset its emissions. It will be content, as will the Indonesian company that planted the trees. The German firm won’t know if the Indonesian has sold permits for the same forest to companies in Canada and the UK and it won’t care — the German firm, like the others, will think they have helped the planet by planting a forest and they will have obtained what their businesses need — a permit to continue operating. There are no identifiable victims. The only loser — if there is any — is the planet, and it won’t be blowing the whistle on this crime.....

Sooo.... according to some investigative experts... what our administration and congress are desperately attempting to legislate is an open door to national fraud.

Consider and ponder.
