It is true the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. We rarely surprise someone by our actions, because we pretty much are what we are. To be different comes not from turning over a new leaf, but from a new master. Jesus says it best when He says in John 3:3,

“Ye must be born again.”

"God, except You live in me, I would just be an old crank.
