I've been hearing a great deal of talk today about encouraging "civil disobedience" in the wake of the health care vote last night... starting with things like not answering the census, etc... what does xtnyoda think about this?

xtnyoda thinks that right now... simple acts of disobedience are probably exactly what the progressives are desiring and hoping for.

Why?

If you get arrested and get a criminal record... you might feel like you are doing something... you know... taking a stand for righteousness, etc... but do you think it would be worth making a political, one time statement that would cost you the right of voting?

That is exactly what the progressives are hoping will happen... because the more conservative votes that are lost... the easier to push their agenda.

Think about it.

I agree with your point, but the fear of loss of vote is not really at issue. Simple arrest for misdemeanor will not prohibit someone from voting. That requires a felony conviction in most all states.

But none the less, civil disobedience against this regime accomplishes nothing. Far more is to be gained by insuring that this shower in power is voted out come November.

Either way, it will be a minimum of four years now, before this travesty can hope to be repealed.
