Jew Killers documented

By MARIA DANILOVA and RANDY HERSCHAFT, Associated Press Writers

(This file photo provided by Paris' Holocaust Memorial shows a German soldier shooting an Ukrainian Jew)

KIEV, Ukraine – The Holocaust has a landscape engraved in the mind's eye: barbed-wire fences, gas chambers, furnaces.

Less known is the "Holocaust by Bullets," in which over 2 million Jews were gunned down in towns and villages across Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. Their part in the Nazis' Final Solution has been under-researched, their bodies left unidentified in unmarked mass graves.

"Shoah," French filmmaker Claude Lanzmann's documentary, stands as the 20th century's epic visual record of the Holocaust. Now another Frenchman, a Catholic priest named Patrick Desbois, is filling in a different part of the picture.

Desbois says he has interviewed more than 800 eyewitnesses and pinpointed hundreds of mass graves strewn around dusty fields in the former Soviet Union. The result is a book, "The Holocaust by Bullets," and an exhibition through March 15 at New York's Museum of Jewish Heritage....

The Nazi "Final Solution" is the natural end result of "Natural Selection" dogma.

The denial of God in the process of nature is to accommodate and legislate hate, slaughter, and discrimination.

Madness... this is.

Another historic event takes place in the Middle East. There is a major reformation taking place in the Islamic world right in front of our eyes.

We need not apologize for having been and being an active part. The ultimate responsibility lies with the Islamic peoples of course... and here is just one more evidence that they are grasping hold of... freedom.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki has hailed a largely peaceful vote for new provincial councils across the country as a victory for all Iraqis.

Voting was extended by one hour due to a strong turnout, including among Sunni Muslims who boycotted the last polls.

The first nationwide vote in four years is being seen as a test of Iraq's stability ahead of a general election due later this year.

Thousands of soldiers and police were deployed around polling stations.

The election is also being seen as a quasi-referendum on the leadership of Mr Maliki.

"This is a victory for all the Iraqis," he said, after casting his vote in Baghdad's highly-protected Green Zone.

He said a high turnout would be an indicator of "the Iraqi people's trust in their government and in the elections" and "proof that the Iraqi people are now living in real security"...

Multichannel on FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell

John Eggerton -- Multichannel News, 1/28/2009

FCC commissioner Robert McDowell had a message for Democrats, or anyone else contemplating trying to reimpose the fairness doctrine: The move could undermine the justification for existing localism and children's TV regulations, and could be used against public radio.

He also suggested it would not come back wearing a big sign saying, "it's me, the fairness doctrine," but would likely instead be rebranded.

Those were some of the observations McDowell provided Wednesday in a speech to The Media Institute in Washington, which is a strong opponent of the doctrine.

The fairness doctrine, which was scrapped by the FCC as unconstitutional in 1987, required broadcasters to air both sides of controversial issues.

In the speech, McDowell cited candidate Barack Obama's statement to B&C--through an aide--that he did not support the doctrine, adding that the new administration has a terrific opportunity to enunciate its strong opposition to anything resembling the fairness doctrine...

McDowell warned that if the doctrine were revived, it might not "wear the same label. That's just Marketing 101: if your brand is controversial, make a new brand," he told his audience.

He suggested the doctrine could be woven into the fabric of policy initiatives with names like localism, diversity or network neutrality. "According to some, the premise of any of these initiatives is similar to the philosophical underpinnings of the Doctrine: the government must keep electronic conduits of information viewpoint neutral," he said.

McDowell suggested that a stealth version of the doctrine may already be teed up at the FCC in the form of community advisory boards to help determine local programming. McDowell says he is fine with those boards if they are voluntary--some stations already seek such input. But that if they are required, as the FCC has proposed, "Would not such a policy be akin to re-imposition of the Doctrine, albeit under a different name and sales pitch?"

McDowell also said that efforts to reimpose the doctrine could stretch to cable, satellite, and even the Internet. "Certain legal commentators have suggested that a new corollary of the Doctrine should be fashioned for the Internet, on the theory that web surfers should be exposed to topics and views that they have not chosen for themselves," adding: "I am not making this up."

...McDowell said he was hopeful that the Obama administration understood all this.
"As I watched his inaugural address last week," he said, "I was struck by the relevance of the debate over the Doctrine to a section of his speech where he said, 'To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history ....' 'I am encouraged that President Obama can, once and for all, end the speculation of whether something akin to the Doctrine will come back to life during his term."

Some good news about President Obama's stated view on the left's desire to hush the right via the left's Fairness Doctrine... so called. We can only hope that Commissioner McDowell is reading the President's comments correctly and the statements from Obama's aid to multichannel.

If the left actually tries to force their Fairness Doctrine on American broadcasters it would be a direct violation of the Free Speech provision of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

No person is forced to listen to any program or commentator... nor read any internet article. What is it that the left fears?

The key players are now all in place in Washington and in state governments across America to officially label carbon dioxide as a pollutant and enact laws that tax we citizens for our carbon footprints. Only two details stand in the way, the faltering economic times and a dramatic turn toward a colder climate. The last two bitter winters have lead to a rise in public awareness that CO2 is not a pollutant and is not a significant greenhouse gas that is triggering runaway global warming.

How did we ever get to this point where bad science is driving big government we have to struggle so to stop it? ...

James Hansen’s Former NASA Supervisor Declares Himself a Skeptic - Says Hansen "Embarrassed NASA"

Washington DC: NASA warming scientist James Hansen, one of former Vice President Al Gore’s closest allies in the promotion of man-made global warming fears, is being publicly rebuked by his former supervisor at NASA.

Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist Dr. John S. This may sound like "good news" but believe me... this is NOT GOOD NEWS!!!

Tony Halpin in Moscow

Russia held out an olive branch to President Barack Obama today by suspending plans to deploy missiles in Europe, according to a report in Moscow.

An official from Russia's General Staff in Moscow told Interfax news that the move had been made because the new United States leadership was reconsidering plans to establish a missile defence shield in eastern Europe.

Deployment of Iskander short-range missiles, which can carry nuclear warheads, was being suspended in Russia's Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad in response, the unidentified official said.

Mr Putin said on Monday that he was "cautiously optimistic" about the potential for improved relations with the US because the Obama Administration had shown a willingness to reconsider the missile shield.

The former Bush administration ignored Russian objections to its plan to install 10 interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar station in the Czech Republic.

It said that the shield was to counter threats from rogue states such as Iran and was not directed against Moscow. The US signed agreements with the Czech and Polish governments last year to permit deployment of the shield....

times on line

One would be tempted to read this and think, "Hey! Maybe PBHO (President Barack Hussein Obama) really has the right idea! Look here, already Russia is responding to a more sensible approach to dialogue and less bravado!"

Here is the BIG PROBLEM. If you will notice in the last paragraph I posted from the story... our missiles were to protect Europe from IRAN... not Russia.

Catch this please. Think how IRAN and Radical Isalm are going to respond/interpret this?

After one brief week in office BHO has revealed to the world that he is no JFK... he is the spitting image of J. Carter. Some of us are painfully aware that this whole swell of Radical Islam can be laid squarely at the feet of J. Carter for turning Iran over to Radical Islam... hoping for appeasement... and we see the results today.

The stakes are higher today than in Carter's day. We don't have forty more years to appease and surrender with hope...

Mark my words.

This is very bad news.

A Petition to Almighty God on Homicide

Eternal God, help us as we seek for Justice.
For those who have carried out the ultimate human injustice,
Guide us as we seek that they be brought to Justice.
For those loved ones that have been robbed of the ones they have loved,
We seek Your Righteous Justice and Your Merciful Consolation as well.

We are a people dedicated to freedom,
and in this calling that You have issued to our lives,
We seek to do Your will.

Guide us as we carry this heavy burden of responsibility.

We live in a nation where the people have decided that murder is wrong.
Help us, the Guardians of this land,
to pray for the right,
to search for the right,
to find the right,
to do the right.

We pray this for the Honor of Your Name.
For the purpose of Your Kingdom,
And the veracity of Your Word.

GALVESTON, Texas – A slain toddler tried to stop her mother and stepfather from beating her to death by reaching out to her mother and saying, "I love you," a prosecutor told jurors Tuesday. The pleas from 2-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers didn't stop her mother, Kimberly Trenor, from continuing to brutalize her, assistant district attorney Kayla Allen said in her opening statement at Trenor's murder trial.

But defense attorney Tommy Stickler Jr. told the jury that Trenor, 20, never intended to kill her daughter in 2007 and that things just "spun out of control."

The toddler was dubbed "Baby Grace" by investigators who worked to identify her decomposed remains after the body was found in a plastic container in October 2007 on a tiny island in Galveston Bay.

Trenor's 25-year-old husband, Royce Zeigler II, is to be tried separately on murder charges. His attorney points the finger at Trenor.

Prosecutors declined to seek the death penalty because they didn't think they could prove that either one would be a future danger, as required.

During her opening statement, Allen detailed for jurors the day that she said Riley Ann died for forgetting to say "please" and "yes, sir."

Allen said that on July 25, 2007, Trenor and Zeigler disciplined Riley by whipping her with a belt, pushing her head against a pillow and holding her head under water. She said Zeigler grabbed Riley and tossed her across the room, fracturing her skull. An autopsy concluded the skull fractures caused her death.

"To the very end, Riley said, 'I love you' to her mom. She's reaching out," Allen said. "That's her lifeline, to her mother. What does Kim do after hearing her say I love you? She starts beating her..."

with tears

I might add here that I do indeed believe in the death penalty...and in this case it makes no difference if the two murderers are judged to be of any further and future threat to anybody...

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that "Americans are not your enemy."

The interview underscored Obama's commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.

The president expressed an intention to engage the Middle East immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

"My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy," Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel.

Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but "that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that."...

Well... I kind of like the thirty years ago... wasn't that right before Carter deserted the Shah of Iran, our friend, and gave Iran over to the radicals?

Dear American Prayer Warriors,

As you know, for the past two years, Prayer Force One has hosted a virtual White House prayer meeting in the various rooms of The White House by linking directly to The White House web site. As you may also know, former President Bush wrote Prayer Force One and thanked us for our prayers.

However, at the stroke of 12:00 noon on Inauguration Day, January 20th, the new Obama White House web site went live with the effect of cutting off our daily White House prayer meeting. When many of you tried to log-in to the prayer meeting, you saw this post from The White House:

Due to these events, we have received a deluge of e-mails. We thank you for the expressions of concern about the future of our beloved White House Prayer Meeting.

I have delayed my response for one week for several reasons. First, we have been on the road, to and from Austin, Texas, where we participated in the annual meeting of The National Prayer Committee. Second, we wanted to collect and send the reactions of our prayer partners. Third, for prudence sake, we wanted to have time to see if the White House site had purposely removed the interactive tours in order to stop our prayer meetings, and whether this was a temporary inconvenience or a permanent obstacle. Before I respond, I first include a sampling of the e-mails we have received since Inauguration Day.

Hi Ed:

A friend and I have tried to log unto the White House room for prayer and it is no longer available. It said the Obama administration has changed it? Please advise.

Thank you.
L.H. from Pennsylvania

I am sure you have heard from others, but when I attempted to click on the White House photo for the virtual prayer walk yesterday, I was redirected to the Obama Administration web site saying that they have changed the White House web site so I could not find the video of the East Room you spoke about in the e-mail.

In Christ,
G.L. from Texas

A short time ago, I was praying at the site of the Oval Office. I clicked over to pray in the East Room, and got the message the page I had requested was unavailable. Is this a problem at your end, or has your White House accessibility suddenly been cut off? (I certainly hope it is the former)!

Thank you,
J.B. from Oklahoma

1. There is no sure way of knowing what motivated the Obama White House to discontinue the beautiful interactive video tours of the various rooms of the Executive Mansion. Their removal will be a tragic loss to the American people. The only thing that we can say for sure is that, for now, their removal spells the end of our daily Prayer Force One, White House Prayer Meeting. Please know that my heart, like many of yours, is greatly saddened by this turn of events.

2. We are indeed thankful to President Bush for his letter thanking us for our prayer efforts in the past. Because of the courtesy of the Bush White House, we were able to grow a national prayer meeting which many tens of thousands have come to love and enjoy. Again, thank you President Bush!

3. We are now exploring options that will allow us to enjoy the continued unity that we experienced during our prayer time together in The White House. These options will certainly include a letter to President Obama. Other options will be to continue our virtual prayer meeting in other meaningful "virtual" locations. In order to do this, it might mean that we have to develop our own "i-pix style" camera to prepare for such prayer meetings. If this happens, we could pray anywhere in America - from the U.S. Capitol rotunda to the Grand Canyon! Expense would be the major challenge in doing this.

4. We will never, never quit in our pursuit of promoting unity in prayer for our nation! We will leave no innovative stone unturned in exploring ways that we can continue these national, virtual, unifying, Prayer Force One prayer meetings in the days ahead.

We pray it is simply an oversight on the part of the White House staff and not a policy decision.

Thank you friends.

Oh no folks... this is simply horrid! President Obama has some really... really... really... TOUGH decisions facing him!!!

By ANDREW MIGA, Jan 26 2009

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's enthusiasm for alternative energy is being buffeted by two political forces on opposite sides of plans to build the nation's first offshore wind farm off Cape Cod.

A leading foe of the $1 billion project is Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., an early and influential backer of Obama's presidential bid. A strong proponent is Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, a close friend of Obama and a source for some of his best campaign speech lines.

I mean... seriously... facing world wide terrorism, liberal generated devastation to the world's economy, rampant Man Made Climate Change and Global Warming that we only have four years to conquer or it's the end of the world... and... OH NOOOOOOOOO... now... above all that Obama has to decide between wind farms or Kennedy's friendship...

Come to think of it... I knew there was something inherently good about wind farms.

George Stephanopoulos questioned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tonight about the wisdom of spending hundreds of millions of dollars from the "bail-out" money on giving away birth control. George is wondering how birth control money being given away is going to stimulate the economy.

Pelosi Defends Family Planning Spending in Stimulus Package

January 25, 2009

During my exclusive interview with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, I asked her about some of the more controversial spending in the stimulus package, including hundreds of millions to expand family planning services...

"The family planning services reduce cost," Pelosi said, "One of the elements of this package is assistance to the states. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."

"So no apologies for that?" I asked her.

"No apologies. No," Pelosi said...

So... we are to conclude from this that children are now to be considered too much of a financial burden not only to families but also too much of a financial burden to the states? Therefore we are not only now going to pay for abortions in other nations around the world, but we are also going to prevent the conception of children in our own nation because of finances.

This is draconian thinking and will bring about... negative consequences to our nation. Guaranteed.

This is our tax money... that we haven't paid yet... at work.

Oh... and just in case you haven't read about it... the tax burden we are going to be paying is going to be collected by a tax evader.

Nice and attractive idea... just a dumb idea.

The Gallup Poll on Saturday released the first job-approval rating for President Obama, based on interviews during his first three full days in office: 68 percent.

Now that he’s in office, Obama’s approval ratings are starting to normalize, as partisan back-and-forth picks up. Just a week ago, Gallup found an astonishing 83 percent approval of how he has handled his transition, showing he had even won over most Republicans...

Now let's do a little math first. In Obama's first... less than a week...three days... in office... his approval rating has plunged from 83% all the way down to 68%. Now that is a plunge of... let's see now... are you ready??? A plunge of 15% in just three days in office. And Politico wants to call it simply NORMALIZING?

Wonder what they would have referred to a 15% plunge in popularity in three days for President Bush? Bet it wouldn't have been NORMALIZE.

Obama can't stand many more NORMALIZING days like those last three.

Now I wonder how long Mr. Allen, the author of the above article, had to think to come up with the bland word NORMALIZE to describe this drastic plunge in popularity?

Tonight on Huckabee, Matthew Stover of the Liberty Council was on as a guest to discuss the changes made to the page since Obama’s team took it over. Huckabee thinks it’s important for all of us to know exactly what’s in the Obama agenda for Civil Rights, and Stover walks us all through the details of his plans.

Is this really the change we need? I don’t think this “change” is what a lot of folks knew was coming (except for those of us who are intelligent-thinking people who pay attention to everything).

Now Mike had said during the preparations for transition by Obama, that he thought Obama was making some brilliant we get this from Mike, rather dire warnings. Perhaps even Mike has been taken a little off guard by the quick immoral executive decisions that the new President has already made.

Still praying, though my prayers are quickly turning from "change" to "hope."

at the idea that the HOUSING BUBBLE would burst and that we would have a recession.

Peter Schiff is almost laughed off the air when he predicts that the housing bubble will burst and banks will stop lending, pushing the US and World markets into a deep recession.

Peter Schiff compilation

And when the above headline says they laughed at Peter... they do indeed laugh at him as though he is a buffoon!

At least there was one person telling the truth a couple of years ago about the coming financial crash. And... if you listen to Peter you will actually hear in his warnings about what NOT to do to avert the economic crash we've seen, you will realize that our government is doing even more...MUCH MORE... of exactly what pushed the crisis over the cliff.

Now... that is pretty sobering... looking ahead with the insight that Peter shares here about what was coming in the fall of 2008.

It is kind of like Peter is talking from the advantage of hind-sight... two years before the event happens.

What do you call that...prophecy? He actually makes the case that anybody with a lick of sense should have been able to see what he was seeing.

Following the previous post about closing Gitmo we now have Sheriff Joe asking for the opportunity of housing the remaining prisoners in his jail in Arizona.

by Gary Graham

THIS JUST IN: In a surprise move today, the outspoken and controversial Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, stated that he’d be happy to take the inmates of Gitmo and provide for them “appropriate and hospitable accommodations.” When questioned in a press conference what those ‘appropriate’ accommodations would entail, the spirited Sheriff was quoted as saying, “Oh, you’ll find out. Our recidivism rate here is nearly zero. For some reason inmates, when released, are not too keen on coming back.”

Asked if the detainees would receive just and humane treatment, the Sheriff smiled and said, “Certainly. They are ‘humans’ and will be treated as such…and that’s ‘just’ the way it is.”

In Baghdad today, the arrested Al Qaeda leader, Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, was heard screaming from his cell when he heard the news that the Gitmo detainees in Arizona would all be required to wear pink. Al-Mashhadani’s legal representative, ACLU attorney Harold B. Dikwahd, stated that dressing the detainees in pink would violate the Geneva Convention....

...Five prayer breaks each day would be allowed, but required to include a 20-minute Namaste Yoga routine. MacDonald’s happy meals would be served seven times a day until the prisoners made a video declaration that they would cease the jihad and start treating people of all faiths in a decent and ‘pleasant’ manner. When asked what he meant by ‘pleasant,’ the feisty Sheriff replied, “Well, not cutting people’s heads off and blowing themselves up on crowded buses would be a damn fine start.”...

Ahhhhhh. At last we have someone who would actually like to have them.

Cheers guys.

A Saudi man who was released from Guantanamo after spending six years inside the U.S. prison camp has joined al Qaeda's branch in Yemen and is now the terror group's No. 2 in the country, according to a purported Internet statement from al Qaeda.

The Yemen branch - known as "al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula" - said the man, identified as Said Ali al-Shihri, returned to his home in Saudi Arabia after his release from Guantanamo about a year ago and from there went to Yemen...

May our new President seek your wisdom
above all else.

As King Solomon listened...
may President Obama hear
the cry of the conceived...
and the mother's heart.

As King David sought reconciliation...
may President Obama seek genuine reconciliation.
As he said...
May the raised and clenched fist
be lowered with open palm...
and taken.

As King David was valiant in battle...
may the giants that taunt our nation
fall like dead wood.
May he come against them in the name
of the God of Israel.

Oh God...

Grab this man's heart indeed.
Reveal to him that which is truly good...
in this nation...
and enable him to praise the same.

Shake this man's mind indeed.
Expose to him that which is truly evil...
in this nation...
and empower him to raze the same.

Oh God...

Give him the words that can
inspire our land
to live each the one...
by the sweat of their own brow
and the ingenuity of their endowed gifts.

As the dearly loved disciple
leaned upon your dear breast...
may this man learn to rest...there.

Teach him to hear your faintest breath...
to grasp your cherished thoughts...
to drink deep your cup of delights.

Hold him.
Protect him.
Nurture him.
Mold him.
Love him.

You breathed into his soul
the breath of life.
He is yours.
I lay him at your gracious throne.

It is for your glory I pray...alone.
In YahShua...
I am yours.

Now I wonder just what the response would be if Rick Warren prays that we would all try to protect the unborn of our nation? Would the MSM remain totally silent?

Following is one paragraph near the start of the video, just in case you don't want to listen to the whole four minute lecture.

H/T to Sarah Pulliam at
Christianity Today

...Bless this nation with anger – anger at discrimination, at home and abroad, against refugees and immigrants, women, people of color, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people...

In other words, Gene asks "God" to bless this nation with anger toward this nation's straight, white men...I mean that's all that's left that is not listed in the category of being discriminated against.

What a great way to start off the President Elect's inauguration events.

Just too, too good. Only wish the US had as much sense.

Weather Underground founder and Barack Obama supporter William Ayers was not permitted to clear customs at a Toronto airport Sunday.

William Ayers, the 1960s radical whose ties to President-elect Barack Obama caused trouble for his campaign, was turned away from Canada Sunday night as he tried to enter the country for a series of educational events.

Jeffrey Kugler, the executive director for the Center for Urban Schooling at the University of Toronto, said Ayers was deemed not admissible after being pulled aside by Canadian immigration officials while trying to clear customs at the Toronto airport.

Ayers had been invited to speak before the center. He was also scheduled to meet with the Toronto District School Board and do interviews with Canadian television and radio stations, Kugler said.

Kugler said the center sent e-mails notifying guests who planned to attend Ayers' talk that he had been turned back. Kugler said the center will try to reschedule Ayers.

Ayers, a co-founder of the violent Weather Underground group and current education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, told the Toronto Star that he didn't know why he had been turned away.

According to Kugler, Ayers was told he could request a hearing but that would mean some sort of detention and a possible two week wait. Ayers opted to return to Chicago.

Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth....

Only the US now had the political muscle to lead the world and halt the rise, Hansen said. Having refused to recognise that global warming posed any risk at all over the past eight years, the US now had to take a lead as the world's greatest carbon emitter and the planet's largest economy. Cap-and-trade schemes, in which emission permits are bought and sold, have failed, he said, and must now be replaced by a carbon tax that will imposed on all producers of fossil fuels. At the same time, there must be a moratorium on new power plants that burn coal - the world's worst carbon emitter.

It used to be that the dire predictions were for the end of this new century... remember? Then it was "in fifty years" and then twenty years...

Now we only have four years to stop AWG... even as the earth is freezing under our feet and in our lungs. People are suffering by the millions from the current reality of this faze of our slumbering sun... so... the squeal must become more strident and urgent... for Jim and Al are running out of time to sell the lie... and I do mean sell... at the expense of the poor and poverty stricken first and foremost.

Now... where is the MSM in reporting this outrage against the impoverished? Who is going to stand up for the little man?

Absolutely shameless and brazen... they are.

PASS logo and info

find the petition here

We are deeply concerned that many women are being coerced into unwanted abortions.(1) These coercive pressures often come from male partners, parents, or others. Studies show that women who are pregnant are more likely to be verbally abused, beaten, or kicked out of their homes.(2) Some become targets of homicidal attacks or other acts of violence intended to cause a miscarriage.(3) In fact, homicide is now the leading cause of death among pregnant women.(4) Similarly, coerced abortions and brutally induced miscarriages have become two common forms of domestic violence. Victims of incest and rape are also being pressured into unwanted abortions by sexual predators whose only concern is to cover-up their crimes.(5) We therefore support and encourage new legislative efforts that will facilitate the prosecution of these abuses of women. As a positive first step to encourage prosecution of attacks on both women and their unborn children, Congress has passed Laci and Conner's Law.

Even when a woman freely consents to an abortion, her decision is often in conflict with her own moral beliefs, her desire to have the baby, or both. Any psychological conflict between their fundamental beliefs and actions can result in profound feelings of regret, grief, despair, and more.(6) As a result, research has shown that abortion is associated with elevated risks of depression,(7) anxiety(8), psychiatric hospitalization(9), divorce(10), drug abuse(11), alcoholism(12), suicide(13), and death from all causes(14). Therefore, we believe greater compassion and support are indispensable to the process of healing the pains and traumas caused by abortion. To this end, we applaud the many privately funded programs providing post-abortion counseling to women, men, and families suffering from the negative effects of past abortions. We encourage state and federal health departments to provide support or make referrals to these programs. We also support the efforts of congressional leaders to provide federal grants for post-abortion counseling programs and for the additional research that is necessary to document the full extent of abortion-related complications.

A lot of info at this site. Presenting the hidden reality of the abuse of women who are pressured into abortion, 40-60% of all abortions are under pressure and duress.

This is grossly under-reported and under-researched. One starts to get the idea that there is a great deal of denial going on around this vital issue. The petition is asking both the Republicans and the Democrats to take off the blinders, open up the eyes, and find out exactly what is happening to the women being pressured into and adversely affected by abortion.

To not pursue this is abuse and illicit use of women once again.

Every dear lady I have talked with who has endured an abortion has had difficult mental, emotional, and often physical repercussions.

Some never recover.

It is time we take up their cause.

Consider the site?

This president of entertainment for abc wants to blame Nielsen rating co. for the demise of the MSM? LOL!!! He just can't bring himself to the place of supposing that the American people are getting fed up with their tripe! Getting fed up with the redefining of journalism to that of being campaign headquarters for their selected candidates? LOL... LOL!!!

Time to get out the white, tear drenched hankies... and wave them highly to the chorus of... BY BY.

...The entertainment president also criticized Nielsen, saying the ratings measurement company contracted by networks doesn't take into account enough forms of audience viewing.

“We’re talking about a different world now,” says McPherson, whose network, like most broadcasters this season, has lost viewers.

”It’s not just people sitting at a single television at home," he says. "We have to get as much of that viewership measured as possible. Anything in hotels; anything in bars. I mean, there's tons and tons of television that is watched that is not counted. When we get our fast nationals, it is not in there."

Hotels and bars? LOL... LOL!!!

Guy can't even talk,
"there's tons and tons of television that is watched that is not counted..."

This is by way of a friendly response to the estimable Jay Nordlinger, Senior Editor at the likewise estimable National Review. Jay wrote a strong column yesterday openly saying what I’ve been hearing many conservatives express tacitly ever since the election. Reflecting on the media’s disgraceful distortion of the characters of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin, he wrote:

“It seems to me that the Left has won: utterly and decisively. What I mean is, the Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, Bill Maher mentality has prevailed. They decide what a person’s image is, and those images stick. They are the ones who say that Cheney’s a monster, W.’s stupid, and Palin’s a bimbo. And the country, apparently, follows.”

I’ve been hearing and reading prominent conservatives and Republicans say nearly as much on television, in print and in private conversation ever since the election. They say Sarah Palin can never make a comeback. They say the fight for small government has been lost. They say we can’t have immigration reform that protects our borders. They say we have to distance ourselves from “embarrassing” commentators like Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter.

No, no, no, no. What the right is experiencing at the moment is a phenomenon called “cultural para-stimuli.” You can read all about it in Tom Wolfe’s wonderful novel I Am Charlotte Simmons. It’s sort of like peer pressure on steroids. It was discovered by Nobel Laureate Victor Ransome Starling, who found that when he surrounded normal cats with cats whose behavior had been bizarrely altered by brain surgery, the normal cats began acting like the crazy cats all around them.

That’s us... surrounded by the mainstream media. So steeped are we now in their lies about our representatives, their ridicule of our commentators, their demonizing dismissal of the causes we know are just, that we’ve begun to adopt their attitudes toward ourselves! And perhaps chief among the lies they’ve sold us is the lie that they’ve won, that the media are theirs for good and all, and that Americans are going to be hoodwinked and brainwashed by their constant barrage of misinformation forever.

Well, only if we let them....

Andrew makes great points, and the whole article should be read.

The MSM wants everyone to believe that it is time for the "_ _ _ lady to sing."

Forget it.

There is a rumble deep in the strata of our society...a coming quake that is going to absolutely take the MSM and the left by surprise. It will be something like SHOCK AND AWE!

It has already started if one trains one's self to see it. The way to start is by simply turning off the MSM! Stop listening to them. They are already going bankrupt... they are asking for part of the "bail-out" money! Their viewership and readers are dropping by the the millions.

Is this fight over? Is it time to throw up our hands and surrender?

Are you kidding!?

Get up. Take off your coat. Double up your fists.

Let the games begin.

Oil and gas drilling » Clergymen link famed moviemaker's stance to racism.

By Patty Henetz

The Salt Lake Tribune, 01/15/2009

Hollywood's Sundance Kid is hurting poor people.

So say some East Coast ministers and conservative activists, who took to the streets in front of a downtown Salt Lake City theater on the eve of Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival to accuse the actor of holding down low-income Americans with his opposition to oil and gas drilling near national parks in Utah.

The protesters, led by the Congress of Racial Equality's national spokesman Niger Innis, suggested Redford should "relinquish his wealth" and live like a poor person. They complained that the filmmaker's anti-drilling stance could lead to higher energy prices for inner-city residents, forcing them to accept a lower standard of living.

The clergymen prayed for Redford "to see the light" and linked his environmental activism with racism.

"The high energy prices we're going to see this winter are essentially discriminatory," said Bishop Harry Jackson Jr. of the Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., chairman of the High-Impact Leadership Coalition, a petroleum industry advocate.

A month ago, Redford, a trustee of the National Resources Defense Council, voiced support for a federal lawsuit aimed at blocking the Bush administration's "morally criminal" attempt to auction 103,000 acres of scenic redrock desert for oil and gas drilling near Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Dinosaur National Monument...

Orson Bean set Free!!!

...Why do people do the things they do? Gary Larson could have gone on using his old Far Side cartoons to make calendars forever. People like me would have kept buying them. But this year, he apparently decided he had enough dough and pulled the plug. (God provided: I found an even better calendar: Cats That Look Like Hitler).

Why did Larson give up all that free money? Why did Madoff think he could get away with his Ponzi thing? What made Mickey Rourke become a wrestler? Strange are the ways of human behavior.

Why did I decide to write a book about becoming a Christian? Don’t I have enough trouble? Last year, I was guesting on a TV show, sitting on my canvas chair between takes, reading a C.S. Lewis book called MERE CHRISTIANITY. I can’t tell you how many people, cast and crew alike, came over to ask me about it. There seems to be a hunger out there, even in the vast, atheistic wasteland called Hollywood.

I believe there’s an emptiness in all of us that only the Holy Spirit can fill. Good sex does a pretty good job of plugging it up, but not for long. Cocaine and booze work for a while, too. Fame and money aren’t bad, either. That’s why so many people move to Hollywood. But when they’ve used up all these things, they’re still left with a hole in the middle of them that the Creator stuck there, knowing that eventually they’d feel the urge to fill it and do what they had to do to seek Him out.

I know this sounds a little nuts to a lot of people. But what doesn’t, when you stop to think about it? Science now pretty much accepts the idea of the Big Bang theory. At a certain point, fifteen billion years ago, an infinitesimal speck of something or other somehow came into being. It exploded and within a few seconds, everything needed to create the entire universe appeared, including time and space. Is that crazy or what? But science says it’s true.

Ten percent of the gross weight of every living thing on earth is ants. Ants! Don’t talk to me about crazy. It’s all crazy. Why do we fall in love? Why does love turn to hate? What’s the capital of North Dakota? These are unanswerable questions.

The reason I became a Christian is the same reason I became a conservative: I paid attention. I watched to see what worked. If a loving Creator designed the whole mishbooker, it all makes sense. If it happened by accident and coincidence (quadrillions of coincidences), it’s nuts. So, I felt the urge to write about it, to share the so-called Good News...

One of Hollywood's own set free! Now this is fun reading!

...Yaada, yaada, yaada...

...In a new message aimed at harnessing anger in the Mideast over the Gaza offensive, bin Laden urges Muslims to launch a jihad, or holy war, against Israel and condemned Arab governments as allies of the Jewish state.

The audiotape, posted on Islamic militant Web sites, was bin Laden's first since May and came nearly three weeks after Israel started its campaign against Gaza's militant Hamas rulers...

The al-Qaida leader also vowed that the terror network would open "new fronts" against the United States and its allies beyond Iraq and Afghanistan. He said President-elect Barack Obama has received a "heavy inheritance" from President George W. Bush — two wars and "the collapse of the economy," which bin Laden said will render the United States unable to sustain a long fight against the mujahedeen, or holy warriors...

American individualism has made its imprint on Christianity.

A sizable majority of the country's faithful no longer hew closely to orthodox teachings, and look more to themselves than to churches or denominations to define their religious convictions, according to two recent surveys. More than half of all Christians also believe that some non-Christians can get into heaven.

"Growing numbers of people now serve as their own theologian-in-residence," said George Barna, president of Barna Group, on releasing findings of one of the polls on Jan. 12.

In the Barna survey, 71 percent of American adults say they are more likely to develop their own set of religious beliefs than to accept a defined set of teachings from a particular church. Even among born-again Christians, 61 percent pick and choose from the beliefs of different denominations. For people under the age of 25, the number rises to 82 percent...

The command's "Joint Operating Environment (JOE 2008)" report, which contains projections of global threats and potential next wars, puts Pakistan on the same level as Mexico. "In terms of worse-case scenarios for the Joint Force and indeed the world, two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse: Pakistan and Mexico.

"The Mexican possibility may seem less likely, but the government, its politicians, police and judicial infrastructure are all under sustained assault and press by criminal gangs and drug cartels...

All drug pushers and illegal drug users are supporting the terrorists efforts in the world today...and need to be considered as such and dealt with as supporting terrorism.

What ever national laws, as well as national military efforts and presence is called upon to address terrorism, needs to begin for the US... in the US... against any and all US citizens who are actively involved in the illegal drug industry and consumption of the same. Iranian demonstrators burned photographs of Barack Obama today as they protested against America’s inaction over Gaza.

Dozens of people gathered in Tehran waving Palestinian flags and defacing and setting fire to images of the President-elect.

Iranian demonstrators have often burned effigies or pictures of US presidents in the past but this appeared to be the first time Mr Obama’s picture had been defaced, a week before his inauguration as president.

The Iranian government has condemned the West, and the United States in particular, for not doing more to stop Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

I just think someone needs to post why Egypt has decided to basically resist Hamas. One will notice that Egypt has their border closed to Gaza as well as Israel has it's border closed. Ever wonder why?

The following article is from Egypt. Notice the date being this past December 4th, just a couple of weeks before the Israeli current action.

What one discovers is that Hamas is a puppet of Iran...and Egypt wants noting to do with a power house Iran...esp. a nuclear Iran!

TENSE EGYPT-Hamas relations take a turn for the worse

By Mona Salem
First Published: December 4, 2008

CAIRO: Already tense relations between Egypt and Hamas have soured after Cairo for the first time openly accused the group of torpedoing Palestinian reconciliation talks. Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit was quoted as saying on Thursday that months of Egyptian-mediated talks between rivals Hamas and Fatah failed in November because of "Hamas' lack of enthusiasm toward reconciliation."

As the only Arab nation bordering the Gaza Strip, Egypt has been trying to reach a detente between Fatah and Hamas and prevent their conflict, which saw Hamas violently eject Fatah from Gaza in June 2007, spilling into Egypt. Cairo is worried about a repetition of the chaotic scenes last January when hundreds of thousands of Gazans broke through the Rafah border crossing and the Israeli lockdown on the territory, to spend a few days shopping in Egypt.

Following the breach, Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman in August began hosting inter-Palestinian talks involving 13 factions, including Fatah and Hamas, in the hope of reaching a consensus on a unity government. A deal was almost reached that would have seen a technocrat government set up without Fatah or Hamas figures that would be acceptable to the international community, much of which boycotts Hamas.

Such an agreement could also have led to a reopening of the Rafah crossing in accordance with a 2005 deal between Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the European Union which requires PA forces to man the border. But Hamas pulled out of the talks at the last moment, saying Fatah was continuing to arrest its members in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where Fatah retains nominal political control.

Tensions between Egypt and Hamas are mirrored by a regional war of influence that has grown since Israel's failed war against Lebanon's Hezbollah in 2006. The two blocs are the so-called moderates of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan versus the "hardliners" of Iran and Syria, alongside Hamas and Hezbollah.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem last week told an Arab League foreign ministers meeting in Cairo that Egypt was supporting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah at the expense of Hamas. "The (Egyptian) mediator should maintain an equal distance from all (Palestinian) factions," Muallem said. Cairo swiftly retorted that "it is Syria that should adopt an impartial position" and end its support for Hamas.

A cabinet statement on Wednesday denied Cairo favored either party in the talks and blamed the worsening situation of Palestinians in the impoverished coastal strip on their rivalry.

On Wednesday, Aboul Gheit took aim at Iran, saying for the first time that Egypt supports "international efforts to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons."

Previously Egyptian officials have only said they preferred a diplomatic solution to the West's conflict with Iran over its disputed nuclear program, which Tehran insists is entirely peaceful.

"Hamas leaders have recognized openly that they are financed by a country in the region," Mustafa El-Fiqi, who heads the Egyptian parliament's foreign affairs committee, said in reference to Iran.

The closure of the border with Gaza also has repercussions on Egypt's domestic politics, where the main opposition Muslim Brotherhood, from which Hamas is descended, has been organizing protests against the siege of Gaza.

Dozens of Egyptian Islamists have been rounded up for organizing the demonstrations. Referring to the Gaza Strip, Fiki said that Egypt would not "tolerate an Islamic emirate on its eastern border."

A rare, heavy snowfall in central Spain closed Madrid's airport and paralyzed city traffic while several rivers in Germany were frozen as much of Europe endured Siberian conditions Friday.

Russian gas cuts to several European countries this week have aggravated the the effects of the bitter cold which has embraced much of the continent since the end of December...

Elsewhere, however, the freezing conditions caused widespread disruption and difficulty.

At Madrid's Barajas airport, Europe's fourth busiest, all four runways were closed for over four hours because of the snow and low visibility, disrupting the travel plans of thousands of people, Spain's national airport authority AENA said...

Nearly 400 kilometres (250 miles) of traffic jams and dozens of road accidents were reported in and around the Spanish capital.

"Traffic is very difficult in the centre of Spain, many roads are cut especially in the Madrid region where it is recommended not to drive," a spokesman for the interior ministry's traffic management agency DGT told AFP.

Several centimetres (inches) of snow accumulated in Madrid as temperatures in the region dropped to as low as minus six degrees Celsius (21 degrees Fahrenheit)...

Across the border in France, air, rail and road traffic began to return to normal in the region around the southern port of Marseille after two days of disruption caused by heavy snow, which had paralysed the city on Thursday...

In Germany, the death toll from the cold snap rose to three and several rivers were frozen over, blocking ship traffic, authorities said.

Drift ice covered 80 to 90 percent of the surface of the river Elbe from Doemnitz to the Germany's main port of Hamburg in the north, a spokeswoman for the Water and Shipping Office said.

Some barges had to be freed late Thursday with industrial ice breakers.

Germany is experiencing one of its coldest winters of the past 100 years, with the mercury dropping as low as minus 34.6 degrees Celsius (minus 30.3 degrees Fahrenheit) in the mountains in the south...

Fairbanks, Alaska, is a mighty cold place in January. The normal daily average temperature this time of year is 10 below zero. Now, try this one on for size. In Fairbanks this month, the average temperature has been 38 degrees below zero! Do the math.

Actually, the cold in Alaska is just part of a mammoth arctic air mass that extends across all of northern Canada. So what will become of this intense cold? Well, here's the bad news. Next week, a broad northwesterly flow from the Arctic all the way to the Gulf of Mexico is going to bring a huge amount of that bitter air down. It's the type of cold that really stings. Later in the week, below zero temperatures are expected from the Midwest to the Northeast.

Chicago will most certainly experience a period when the temperature stays below zero....

Just in case one might think it is only the eastern half of the nation facing this cold advance. It is actually the entire northern third of our planet.

xtnyoda, shalomed

Beyond the weekend, waves of arctic air will plunge over the eastern two-thirds of the nation. Blustery winds will usher the bitterly cold air southward, resulting in even colder and potentially dangerous RealFeel® temperatures.

The first wave of cold will grip the Midwest and Northeast Tuesday into Wednesday. The second wave later in the week will not only encompass more places east of the Rockies, but threatens to be harsher than the first.

The Coldest Weather Possible In Nearly 15 Years

Bitterly cold air bottled up over the depths of the Arctic will plunge southward next week, gripping the eastern two-thirds of the nation.

The frigid air will likely arrive in two waves. The first shot will blast the Midwest and Northeast early next week. The second, which will prove to be the harshest, will encompass virtually all places east of the Rockies by next weekend.

Expert Senior Meteorologist Elliot Abrams reports, "Joe Bastardi has been talking about a daytime temperature below zero in Chicago and a nighttime low near 0 in New York City... and if one of these Arctic highs makes the plunge south and east, those ideas will turn out right."

Blustery winds will usher in the arctic air, resulting in even colder and potentially dangerous RealFeel® temperatures.

There are early indications of a reinforcing shot of arctic air settling over the East in the days leading up to Inauguration Day. Community Director Jesse Ferrell says that the forums are abuzz about this potential for extreme cold next week in the Northeast. He has a blog showing maps and data from the GFS, which says that New York City will be the coldest in at least 14 yeara.

And if one would go to the accuweather blog site one would find that the actual possibility is the coldest weather since the 1800's.
I can tell you without even looking at historical data that a -13 degree reading would be "historic" in the Big Apple. If you do look at their history, you find that -15 was the lowest they have been there since 1869...

Jesse Ferrell accuweather blog!

Go take a look and be prepared to shudder at the implications.

We are moving from the category of "Historic Records" into the realm of "Biblical Proportions!"

Notice the -32 to -37 range in central New York? This is the potential eight day computer model from the above site.

Biblical disaster in the making.

New Iraqi Museum to Stand as Reminder of Saddam’s Decades of Brutality, Counter to Anti-War Movement’s Attempt to Rehabilitate the Late Tyrant

Posted by Jeff Emanuel, Wednesday, January 7th

Torture chambers. Rape rooms. Chemical and biological warfare conducted by a government against its own people. Limbs cut off. Political opponents slaughtered. Wetlands converted to uninhabitable desert to punish inhabitants for their sectarian affiliation. International-level athletes burned and scarred for underperformance in competition. Villagers and tribesmen indiscriminately murdered or mutilated simply so their dictator could demonstrate the awful extent of his power...

However, the regrettable human habit of forgetting the lessons of history (and thus allowing mistakes and atrocities alike to be repeated), combined with a years-old effort to rehabilitate the late dictator’s image, means that attention must continue to be paid not only to the late tyrant himself, but to ensuring that his true legacy remains clearly and publicly commemorated....

Now, nearly six years after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, and two years after his conviction and execution for slaughtering millions of his own citizens, the Islamic nation’s High Tribunal is trying to ensure Saddam’s memory is kept alive in a new way: with a museum featuring artifacts of, and documents recounting, the myriad atrocities the former Iraqi dictator committed during his 24 years in power...

The museum will exhibit the evidence of Saddam’s atrocities, both physical and documentary. Hanging apparati – hooks and bloody nooses – used to asphyxiate countless Iraqi men, women, and children will be displayed, as well as torture devices like “a man-shaped metal cage where,” according to reports, “Saddam’s son Uday used to lock underperforming athletes for weeks at a time – and set them naked under the burning sun, the metal searing their flesh.”

Also on display will pictures of hangings and of victims’ bodies, as well as the personal effects of some of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis murdered and dumped in one of dozens of mass graves by Saddam’s regime. These artifacts, according to a report, “include combs, identity cards, a rosary…and bloodstained clothes.”

According to a museum worker who spoke with reporters on the condition of anonymity, the museum’s display will include documents from Saddam’s 2006 trial, including “the final decision and the execution order,” so that “people will be able to see his guilt for themselves.”...

“We thought that people might forget the works committed by dictators who committed horrible acts against them,” said Judge Arif Abdel-Razaq al-Shaheen, chief justice of the High Tribunal, which sentenced Saddam to death two years ago...

“Anti-war” protesters have shown their support for the late (illegitimately-elected) president of Iraq, and their hatred of the outgoing (legitimately-elected) President of the United States, in several distasteful ways, from calling for Bush’s impeachment and, in extreme cases, execution for “war crimes,” to spraying Chicago churchgoers with faux blood while accusing them of supporting the murder of civilians, showering the floor of the House of Representatives with blood-soaked dollar bills, and calling for enlisted soldiers to shoot officers who ordered them to carry out their missions in Iraq...

All of this has supposedly been done in the name of “peace” and of a humanitarian concern for the Iraqi people, “millions” of whom have supposedly been killed by barbaric Americans who shattered the utopia that was pre-2003 Iraq when they charged in, guns blazing, and began indiscriminately killing everything that had brown skin and moved.

The man who slaughtered millions of his own countrymen – and brutally tortured millions more – deserves far less than the legacy of a martyr...
