Daily Nugget

Today's cherished nugget from guest blogger, Pastor Bill.

“In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet” (Albert Schweitzer).
What all do we miss because we seek something of lesser value? We miss a sunset in chasing after something else. We miss a soaring eagle in watching a slug. We miss a child’s laughter in entertaining ourselves with the latest technology (radio, tv, computer, dvd’a, etc.), and on and on....
The apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:11: “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
May we learn to see and value what is around us.
God, thank You for all the beauty around us. Help us not to take it for granted.   Amen.Bro. Bill
