Day 49 Yahweh Covenant Loyalty

A very simple point about this revealing of our "Covenant Loyal" God.

Here we have another simple point from this revealing ... and today it is about our "Loyal" God. Of special interest is the fact that as one studies the meaning of "loyalty" itself, one discovers a bright point for personal reflection.

What we find is that "loyalty" is actually a function that is based on a desire for one's own benefit ... loyalty is being faithful to be the person you actually are.  Without this quality we would simply be living a lie … and many do so … but not Yahweh.

Deuteronomy 7:9 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
"Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands."

Yahweh demonstrates covenant loyalty because Yahweh is true/faithful to His own nature and character first and foremost.  This is a reason why God would say that He Is Who He Is … or “I Am That I Am.”  There is no doubt that we are beneficiaries of His loyalty ... but never forget that Yahweh's loyalty is first and foremost for His own benefit.

Intercessory Prayer:  Oh Father!  You are exactly Who You say that You Are!  Oh God!  Help us to become people who are … what we say we are!  So that we can bring honor to Your Name!  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
