Daily Nugget

Wednesday, March 12th, 2014, Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Greatness lies not in being strong, but in the right use of strength” (Henry Ward Beecher).

Each of us have mountains of power at his/her disposal. The truth is we have the power to build up or the power to destroy.  One problem we have is that if we are not careful, the little member called the tongue has the power to undo any good we try to do. The writer of James 1:26 gives us this wisdom: “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.”

God, help us use the power on the tip of our tongue to praise and honor You and to encourage our fellow man to do the same.  Amen.
