Daily Nugget

“God is most glorified in us when our knowledge and experience of Him ignite a forest fire of joy that consumes all competing pleasures and He alone becomes the treasure that we prize.” (Same Storms 1951-)

The depth of our knowledge about our creator is very limited. He does not try to remain a mystery to us or aloof from us, but desires for us to draw closer to Him daily do He can reveal more of Himself to us. The writer of James 4:7-8 tells us, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”

God, Thank You for allowing us direct access to You, and the wisdom to desire that fellowship You have opened to us. Amen.
