A sign on the Alaskan highway reads: “Choose your rut carefully—you’ll be in it for the next 200 miles.”

Every easy route is not always the best nor is the most rugged path the worst. When Jesus called out His disciples, He simply said, “Follow me.” It is important to choose well whom you follow as it makes all the difference, not only here but also in the hereafter. The apostle Paul in 1Thessalonians 5:21 says, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

God, thank You for holding fast to us when we can’t hold fast to You. Amen.
