“Oh, to have an eraser that would wipe out painful memories. Not so much of the times when we’ve been hurt, but those stabbing memories of the times when we’ve hurt others” (Marjorie Holmes).

In Psalm 51:3, David acknowledges the pain of the memory of his sin with these words: “For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.”

God, thank You for our forgiveness. Let us use this memory to keep from making the mistake again.  Amen.
