I knew a guy in school who was at least as ornery as I was--at least to me. One day it came to me that as much trouble as I had liking this boy, God loved me in spite of me. Jesus reminded us in Matthew 5:43-44, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

God, teach us to love others with Your love, at least enough to want to see them in heaven just as You do.  Amen.
