Daily Nugget

Sunday,March 10th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

The dying words of Julian, the Apostate Emperor, were supposedly these: “You have conquered, Galilean.” Many think they were not really his words at all but a later embellishment of the story. Whatever the case with regard to Julian, the fact remains that the Galilean has won and the apostate has lost.

In John 19:30, when Jesus gave up the ghost and said, “It is finished,” it was not a sigh of resignation, but was a statement of victory.  All that the Father had sent Him to do had been completed, and Jesus was ready to go be with the Father to celebrate.
Today as we worship, we, too, can celebrate the fact that Jesus has won and we are free from the power of sin.

God, thank You for allowing Your Son Jesus to go through all that was necessary for me. Amen
