Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

“They say that nobody is perfect.  Then they tell you practice makes perfect.  I wish they'd make up their minds.”  (Wilt Chamberlain)

The above quotation reminds me of an intolerant deacon who made this comment about a piano player: “She has practiced that mistake long enough.” The truth is “We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  The greater truth is “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23b).

God, thank You for Your mercy extended toward us in spite of our sin. Amen.
