Daily Nugget

Thursday, July 14th, 2011.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Life in Poland was difficult during the transition from a Communist government to a free government led by Solidarity. Goods were scarce but one Polish man remarked, “There are so many more possibilities for happiness here than in the USA. You look out the window in the morning and your car still has four wheels and you’re happy. You see a gas line and you know there is gas. You are happy. You stand in line for an hour and it’s your turn to buy, you buy the last one of that particular item. If you had been one place back in line you wouldn’t have got it and would have wasted your time. You’re happy.”

We must remember to enjoy the simple things and to give thanks for the mini-blessings God puts in our path each day. The writer of Psalms 68:3 says,
“But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.”

"God, thank You for all your blessings to us.
Amen."
