When we stop dreaming, we become resolved to our situations. The writer of Proverbs 22:11 tells us,

“Where there is no vision the people perish.”

When our dreams have not taken us where we we want to be, we should not give up. We should keep alive that goal or dream so we can be where God wants us to be in the future.
