Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in character. If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”

Righteousness is not a trait we hear taught or see demonstrated by very many of our country’s leaders. Could that be the root cause for many of our nation’s trials? I venture to say ,”YES!” The writer of Proverbs 14:34 reminds us,

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”

"God, help us to remember Your words when we choose each of our nation’s leaders.
