Yahweh, Day 8

Day 8: Yahweh… the God Who Vows

We can tell a great deal about the character of an individual by how faithfully they keep their word.  Yahweh has made certain vows … and He keeps His word.  The amazing point to begin with here is to think for a moment about the magnitude of this scriptural truth … Yahweh … the Eternal One … the Holy One … has spoken to humans … and not just spoken … but has vowed … to keep His word … to humans.

Genesis 22:16 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD …”

This, leaves me breathless.

Intercessory Prayer: Oh Father!  It confounds the imagination to think that You … would consider us … in our sad condition.  Thank You.  In Jesus Name.
