   Friday, January 3rd, 2014, Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"When we hate our enemies, we are giving them power over us: power over our sleep, our appetites, our blood pressure, our health, and our happiness" (Dale Carnegie).

When we hang onto our anger and hatred, ultimately we become our own enemy. If we receive it, we are given the grace to deal with our trials, but that reception is our choice.

The writer of Hebrews 12:15 encourages us with these words: “Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and by it, defiling many.”

God, thank You for the grace You give us. Help us to forgive others as You forgive us. Amen.
