Day 10: When Humans Attempt to Supplant Yahweh #2

Humanity boasted that they would build a tower, they would not be divided ... and Yahweh was obligated to take their challenge ... the result ... the great diaspora of humanity over the face of the earth.

Genesis 11:4-5 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“’Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the sky. Let us make a name for ourselves; otherwise, we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.’
Then the LORD came down to look over the city and the tower that the men were building.”

There are certain things that only God can do, and in our age, controlling the climate of our planet, is one challenge that has been put to God.  For humans to say that they can control the climate of the earth is a direct challenge to the power of the Great I Am ... and the Great One will not be overshadowed ... nor ignored as some quibbling child.

The very moment that humans stated that humans could control the climate of planet earth, either for good or bad, they challenged Yahweh to a duel. The necessity of being responsible in our environmental concerns is important, but to claim that humans can control the climate of our planet is quite another thing.  Keep your eyes open and you will see God proving through the climate of earth, that God is God, and man is not.

Intercessory Prayer: Oh Father!  We have sinned.  We have declared that we can control not just ourselves, but our planet as well.  We acknowledge today that only You can control Your creation.  We will watch, observe, and report the movement of Your hand once again in order to demonstrate to a skeptical world that You alone are God.  In Jesus Name.
