Daily Nugget

Wednesday, December 18th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Most folks crucify today between two thieves: yesterday and tomorrow” (Fulton Oursler).

We are only able to correct so much of yesterday and can only worry so much about tomorrow, but we have today to make the most of the time we have. If we waste today, we might be able to make up the money we will lose, but we can never get back the time we lost.

The apostle Paul reminds us to look forward toward the life ahead of us with these words in Philippians 3:13&14: “But one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

God, thank You for forgiving our yesterdays so we can dwell with You in our futures. Amen.
