Daily Nugget

  Tuesday, December 17th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Fleas know not whether they are upon the body of a giant or upon one of ordinary stature” (Walter S. Landor).

If you are normal, you may feel as though fleas are crawling on you as you read this. The truth of this quotation is that life brings each of us pain, difficulties, and trials. Disease and discomfort can be a part of each of our lives whether rich or poor.  The same is true whether you are known around the world or known only to your family and a few friends.

Jesus gives us these words of encouragement in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” 

Remember all our challenges here are temporary. As children of God we are on the winning side!

God, thank You for being with us and even leading us through the opportunities we will face this week. Amen.
