Daily Nugget

Monday, December 16th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Those with the most horse sense do the least kicking” (Unknown)

It is easy to complain and ruin not only someone else’s day, but also to make our own day miserable. We must choose today to find reasons to give praise to God, our co-workers, our family, our friends, and the stranger who treated us well, or the one who did not treat us kindly.

Jesus told us in Matthew 5:43-44, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”

In light of Jesus' word, we are challenged to go ahead make another's day, so The Heavenly Father can smile on us and say, “Well done.”

God, help us to walk with You in following Your example. Amen.
