Daily Nugget

Monday, July 15th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxicabs and cutting hair” (George Burns).

Someone else said, “Criticism comes more easily than craftsmanship.” However you say it or slice it, it is easier to find fault with others than to work on yourself.

Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 6:41-42, “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst thou say to thy brother, 'Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?' Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.”

God, cleanse me from my own sins and may I let You take care of others.  Amen.
