Happy Masks

Losing a child to death brings a myriad of emotions ...

all complicated ... all different ... all difficult.

Silent Grief speaks today about ... masks ...

The question comes up so many times, "So, why do so many who are grieving the loss of a child wear their happy mask? The mask that makes people think they're doing okay." The answer is simple. Too many times when those grieving the loss of a child take off their mask, and bare their souls, they find themselves standing alone, and then the pain hurts ten thousand times more. The truth is -- sometimes it's just less exhausting and less painful to cry into our own pillow at night than to search and search for a shoulder that is willing to allow our tears to fall on. Rejection and grief are a terribly lonely, painful combination!

Father, Yahweh, I pray today for Silent Grief, and all who have lost a child. or a grandchild.  I pray that You will hold them as close to Your heart as You hold the child they love and lost.

Father, bless them today.

xtnyoda, shalomed
