Daily Nugget

     Sunday, April 21st, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Alexander Whyte, the Scottish preacher, always began his prayers with an expression of gratitude. One cold, miserable day his people wondered what he would say. He prayed, “We thank Thee, O Lord that it is not always like this.”

One thing about the weather around here is that it is always subject to change, even on a daily basis. This week we had 89 degree temperatures and then mid-thirties. Someone was pleased on each of those days. I choose to rejoice with each of those who enjoyed each day.  The apostle Paul gives us these words in Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with those who rejoice.”

God, help us to give You thanks in all things. Amen.
