Daily Nugget

   Saturday, April 20th, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“If, instead of a gem or even a flower, we could cast the gift of a lovely thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as angels give” (George Macdonald 1824–1905).

There is little that is as valuable to each of us as the memories we have from our experiences with our friends.  The writer of Proverbs 27:9 tells us this: “Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel.”

God, thank You for our friends and the bond of our hearts drawn together by a relationship with You. Amen.
