Daily Nugget

Monday, April 22nd, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Thy numerous works exalt Thee thus, And shall I silent be?  No, rather let me cease to breathe, Than cease from praising Thee! (Elizabeth Rowe)

The sunrise shouts, “Wake up!”  The wind calls out for us to look at the trees. The water sings its song as it rushes over rocks on its way to the ocean. As the sun sets and the moon rises and stars twinkle, God whispers, “Good night; I love you.” In Genesis 1:16-18, the writer tells us, “God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.  And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,  And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.”

How can we keep from praising God? I don’t want to try.

God, thank You for the myriad of ways each day You tell us, "I love you."  Amen.
