Often if we are not careful, we can trip on our shoelaces even though we can see for a considerable distance. The writer of Psalm 17:5 prays these words: “Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.”

God, guard our hearts and steps that we might stand in a way that is pleasing to You. Amen.
