Daily Nugget

Friday, March 22nd, 2013.  Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Ships in harbor are safe,” wrote John Shedd, “but that’s not what ships are built for.” We, too, are not built to stay in the safe harbors of life but to take some prudent risks, have some daring, take some chances. Theodore Roosevelt praised the man who “… if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.”

Jesus came not for us to exist in the world, but that we might live life to the fullest. Jesus reminds us with these words in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

God, Let all we do bring glory to You. Amen
