As we begin this new year, we can have no idea where it will take us. We can look back in history and wonder how our fathers in the faith felt as they watched some of their years unfold, knowing the only thing they had to hold onto was their fain in Jehovah God. One thing we can rely on is this: the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will surely lead us through 2013 if we follow Him. David in Psalms 23:4 words our prayer this way: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

God, guide our steps as we follow You today. Amen.
