Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

“Some people excuse their faults; others abandon them” (unknown).

As we close this year, what faults can we give up? What can we do away with to start the New Year? For most of us at least one fault comes to mind immediately. For those who do not think of any, that is probably one fault right there. 1John 1:8-9 reminds us: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God, help us to put away those things that stand in the way of a right relationship with You. Amen.
