Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

 “America’s future will be determined by the home and the school. The child becomes largely what he is taught; hence, we must watch what we teach and how we live” (Jane Addams 1860–1935).

Much of what was prophesied has not only come to pass, but many times, the haunting words ring in our ears. For advice on training this generation for the future, we need to study the words of the writer of Proverbs:  “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” ( Proverbs 22:6).

God, as our children go back to school this week, we ask for Your physical and mental protection for both our students and teachers. Amen.
