Yahweh: Working #3

 
Amos 9:6 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“He builds His upper chambers in the heavens and lays the foundation of His vault on the earth.
He summons the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth.
Yahweh  is His name.”

Now we have a better understanding as to our Lord’s statement in John 15:3 as He was preparing to head to the cross.

John 15:3 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.”

Jesus says that the disciples are “already” clean, yet He has not yet died for sin.  Jesus is speaking into existence that which does not yet exist. (Romans 4:17, Day 286’s study)  “Time” is our limitation, not Yahweh’s, for Yahweh dwells in eternity.

This also explains for example John 3:16 where Jesus states the whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal live.  Though He had not yet died for sin, Yahweh had spoken it.
