Yahweh: Spreads Like Fire #2

Amos 5:6
“Seek Yahweh  and live,
or He will spread like fire …” (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

In 1Corinthians 3:12-17, the Apostle Paul sheds a vital New Testament understanding about this all consuming fire of Yahweh.  For the Believer, that fire is the very Spirit of God.  And, it is that very Spirit that works in the Believer like a fire.

Verses 15 and 16: “… If anyone's work is burned up, it will be lost, but he will be saved; yet it will be like an escape through fire.  Don't you know that you are God's sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you?” (HCSB)

The Holy Spirit is indeed our immeasurable gift from Yahweh.  It is our source of life, comfort, freedom, instruction, guidance, and discernment …. And it is our correction and reproof … for the glory of God’s Name.
