To be quiet is not only a tough challenge, but also is a blessing to find a way and a place in which to be quiet. In a society when loud seems to make right, it is a blessing to meet someone with a quiet spirit, one who can bring a sense of peace in our troubled times. Our value to God is not in who we are in this world as seen by this world's standards, such as what we wear or what we drive, but is seen by our relationship with  Him. The writer of 1Peter 3:3-4 says, “Your beauty should not consist of outward things like elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold ornaments or fine clothes instead, it should consist of the hidden person of the heart  with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very valuable in God’s eyes.”

God, in all things I must decrease and You must increase.  Amen.
