Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

Paul Harvey tells the story of the uncertain soldier in our Civil War who, figuring to play it safe, dressed himself in a blue coat and gray pants and tiptoed out onto the field of battle. He got shot from both directions!

We have seen this historic act played out over and over throughout history. 

The apostle Paul challenges us with these words in Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

God, help us to stand firm as we serve in Your army.  Amen.
