Daily Nugget

   Friday, September 14th, 2012.

Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill

Harvard philosophy professor, George Santayana, was giving a lecture one day when he paused to look at the brilliant yellow forsythia blooming outside the window. Many long seconds passed, and then he said, “Gentlemen, I very much fear that that last sentence will never be completed. You see, I have an appointment with April.”  He left the room and never gave regular lectures again.

When we step outside, we get to see all that God puts on display for us. 1 Corinthians 10:26 reminds us, “For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.”  As fall approaches, the rains have livened up the grass, trees, and flowers. Now is the time to get out and enjoy the beauty God has placed before us.

God, thank You for the sunrises and sunsets and everything in between.
Amen.
Bro. Bill
