Yahweh's Presence. There is no greater blessing or reality.

This ... Presence ... and the value of it ... is set up in the first chapters of Ezekiel. In chapter 1 Ezekiel sees the great and awesome vision of the presence of Yahweh over Israel. Then in chapter 11 a horror is witnessed by Ezekiel ... the Glory of Yahweh lifts Itself from within the Temple .... and leaves Jerusalem. (Ezekiel 11:23)

This to Israel was her greatest fear. More than invading armies, famine, storm, pestilence, drought, earthquakes, or any other tragedy ... Israel feared the departure of God ... for Yahweh to ... desert the chosen.

The opening of Ezekiel's message was the terrifying message of God's ... rejection.
