Beware the Judgement

The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, face the south and preach against it. Prophesy against the forest land in the Negev, and say to the forest there: Hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Lord God says: I am about to ignite a fire in you, and it will devour every green tree and every dry tree in you. The blazing flame will not be extinguished, and every face from the south to the north will be scorched by it. Then all people will see that I, Yahweh, have kindled it. It will not be extinguished." Then I said, "Ah, Lord God , they are saying of me: Isn't he [just] posing riddles?"

The flame will ignite both the dry tree ... and the green tree. Pause for more consideration.

When Yahweh moves in judgment ... make no mistake ... all are affected. The dry AND the green tree ... the dead AND the righteous are affected. Have you ever heard someone pronounce that God "should" send His judgment on a land ... while the one making the pronouncement is living in the land?

If one actually believes/thinks that God should move in judgment ... upon the land ... then the one pronouncing the judgment should do so with nothing less than tears ... trembling ... and dread ... for even the "green" trees will feel the swift move of Heaven's indignation.
