A study from the University of Texas found that people remember

10 percent of what they read;

20 percent of what they hear;

30 percent of what they see;

50 percent of what they see and hear;

70 percent of what they say; and

90 percent of what they do and say.

Knowing this information, we find that life itself brings more wisdom than found in books alone. Consider the knowledge you have gained by experience, and remember the words of the writer of Psalms 90:12, who encourages us to

“Number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

Let your years be reflected in your wisdom.
