Sunday, December 12th, 2010. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“You’ve got to run what you brung.” (Unknown)

That statement isn’t good English, but it carries a lot of truth. We are not all gifted the same way, but that does not relieve our responsibility to praise God with what we have.

The old crag, hollow and weather-beaten, makes its own tune as the master blows the wind across it. The rock gives its melody as the dew drips from it or the flood cascades over it. The writer of Psalms 98:4 puts it this way:
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”
If you can sing or if you can’t sing, make a joyful--or at least--a loud noise to the Lord. In other words, "Run what you brung!"

"God, thank You that we are not accountable for perfection. Let our hearts bring worthy praise to You.
Amen."
