Monday, November 15th, 2010. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

"Earth’s crammed with heaven And every common bush afire with God; But only he who sees takes off his shoes."
(Elizabeth Barrett Browning, 1806–1861)

How many things have we missed because we didn’t know we were on Holy Ground and didn't take off our shoes to have fellowship with God. The writer of 1Kings 19:11-12 give us this picture of this encounter Elijah had with God:
“A great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, 'What doest thou here, Elijah?'”
That message is still relevant to us today: Don’t miss God because you only see the grandeur.

"God, thank You for the sunrises, sunsets each invitation for us to meet with You.
Amen."

Bro. Bill

Our God is an awesome God.
